The Night The Moon Went Missing Reviews

  • Jon Nakapalau

Read the bilingual edition of this book (English/Spanish). When the moon feels that she is not getting enough attention she hides away and is very sad. A little girl named Lucy tries to find her and tell her how much she is loved. This would be a very comforting story for a small child who is feeling ignored (maybe the new baby is getting all the attention) and just needs to know they are still loved.

  • Meredith

The Moon feels unappreciated and runs away.

  • Fern

A beautiful bedtime tale about love, value and the importance of the moon.

I adore Brendan Kearney’s illustrations - very charming and gentle. The constellation animals were a really nice touch, something for little ones to look out for during starry nights.

The only thing that would’ve made it shine even brighter would’ve been an end page of some short educational facts about how special a role the moon plays for planet earth.

Brendan is definitely an author to watch! His ‘Adventures with Finn and Skip’ picture book series with a thoughtful environmental twist are another firm favourite.

Perfect for fans of Joe Stanton-Todd and Britta Teckentrup.
