See no evil. Hear no evil. Speak no evil. Sleep with no evil… If only it were that easy.

Between being kidnapped by a psycho dragon-shifter, influenced by ancient relics, and fighting for my freedom, I’d say my hands are full. But really, my troubles have just begun.

Cain, Dorian, and Elias are wickedly dangerous, scorching hot, and all too tempting. They’re devils in disguise. Literally.

I don’t know why they’re collecting these relics, but it looks like I’m not the only one with secrets. Despite all the risks, I might be falling for the three of them. But there's a good chance this Hellish relationship ends up being the death of me.

To make matters worse, there may be something more to my shadow than I originally thought. Something evil that’s set on taking over me entirely if I let it. With each passing day, I find myself falling deeper into its darkness and further under the demons’ deadly charms.

There’s no other way around it... Things are quickly going to Hell in a handbasket.

Hell in a Handbasket (Sin Demons, #2) Reviews

  • Al *the semi serial series skipper*

I was curious to continue this series even though the first book wasn't that terrific.

    This book though.

    Spoilers below

The guys rescue her from the dragon 🐉.

She starts contemplating running 🏃‍♀️ away again.

She has sex with Elias and starts being in her feelings.

She has sex with Cain and starts being in her feelings.

Cain has sex with her and he starts being in his feelings.

They go looking for the relics and Cain is almost killed and she's in her feelings.

Someone wants to kidnap her so they are all in their feelings.

The dragon comes back and injures Cain and that's where the book ends. If I have to guess, she starts being in her feelings too.

It was tiring having to deal with their emotions 😪 . I wanted more action 🎬 and less of what they had going on. Alas, it was not meant to be.

    Generously giving this 3 stars.
I just really had a hard time with this book. I loved book 1, but this book had me wanting to quit bunches of times, and even going to bed early rather than finishing up the last 20% where I would normally stay up until done. The flow started very slow, to the point of being boring & didn't pick up steam until about 2/3rds of the way in. The flip flop of behavior for the demons & Aria was enough to to drive me nuts. One minute they are all over each other, the next they seem to hate each other -back & forth all the way thru. I didn't feel the emotions from them for each other one way or another. It all felt very disjointed. I didn't even feel the lust/chemistry that led them to sex. There were a lot of things that were left open and a lot of things that were glossed over like they weren't important. Overall, I didn't get enough enjoyment from this book to want to continue with the series at this point.

Sin is back. Hell in A Handbasket is the second book in Mila Young's and C.R. Jane's Sin Demon series. The story picks up right where the first book left off with Aria kidnapped by a dragon, the relics, stolen leaving three demons very grumpy. It was great.

Things are complicated. Aria is still her feisty self but she's showing a vulnerable side to herself and she's not alone the guys are changing as well, softening towards her and opening up about their past and their emotions. While all the secrets get out in the open things are still on shaky ground and neither the guys nor Aria fully trust each other, however, things in the relationship department are looking better. I like the softer side of the guys and I like that Aria might be open to something with the guys if they get over their issues.

Aria's and the guys' lives are kinda a dumpster fire right now. Enemies on all sides, attacks, weird shifters, a mysterious character, and missing relics just to name a few things. On the bright side, there was one adorable baby lynx named Cassiel who is annoying the heck out of a certain hellhound and it couldn't be funnier. More and more of the supernatural community is being revealed I loved it, from unusual supes to a magical market.

Hell in A Handbasket was fantastic. The steamy moments had my temperature rising, and the mystery surrounding Aria is steadily growing and intriguing me more and more, I already have a few theories about what can be coming. I'm really enjoying the series and plan on jumping into the third book really soon.

This is a great series! Well written there’s plenty of action and passion, adventure and danger, steam and mystery, twists and turns and is a great continuation from book one! This collaboration is fantastic as is the world building and I found myself totally lost in the story! Incredible.

    Kindle Unlimited.

This was ok. I wish we had gotten some answers on Aria. That's really the most interesting part of this story. I'm not sure if I will continue with this one or not. I'm not very invested in the romance.

Hell in a Handbasket is the second installment in Mila Young and Harper A. Brooks’ Sin Demons series. Book two picks up where book one left off and continues forward with a well-paced beginning that keeps you on the edge of your seat as you read to find out what happens next. But things do slow down as Aria and the guys face a bit of a set back and then discover that they have other problems looming. Another threat is making itself known as Aria’s abilities and presence is no longer a “secret” and the three demons’ quest for the harp begins to come to the forefront. Add in their growing attraction to Aria and you have a good amount of drama ready to implode.
Hell in a Handbasket begins with a dragon and a scream. I was hooked from the start and eager to see where the authors were going to take the whole situation with Aria. It seems that Aria has been thrown out of the frying pan into the fire. Sir Surchion has kidnapped her and flown her out into the mountains and I could only guess what he had in mind to do with her. There is quite a bit going on with this book. The demons are frustrated with Aria’s disappearance and are on edge about what to do. They find themselves in a bit of a situation that only gets more complicated. There is the introduction of a strange new character that I’m curious to learn more about.
I have to say that adore the addition of a precious little furry critter that the authors write into this book. Because obviously we needed something cute and adorable to balance out the huge irritable ball of hellhound that thunder clouds around the mansion. LOL!
For those who enjoy the steamier elements of this reverse harem romance…there is so much steamy!! I love it! It’s well done without being overdone. There is build up in the right places, and there is even a couple of heart pumping chase scenes to grow the anticipation and excitement.
My only real issue with this book is…Aria. The authors are working to write her as spunky, sassy, spirited and smart, but she honestly comes off as dumb at times. She keeps thinking that if she can just “run and get away from the demons that she’ll be home free.” Is she really that dense? They own her soul. It’s been contracted to them, by someone else who wanted to save their own neck (not that that worked out well for them). Does she conveniently forget this or is she just THAT “naïve”? I get tired of her sticking to this “I think I’ll run” train of thought. Then…why doesn’t she say anything to the guys about the stranger in the backyard?
I am choosing to rate this book 4 out of 5 stars. The pace starts out good in the beginning, but then it really slows down in comparison to the first book. I had hoped that Aria would have developed a bit of sense, but that hasn’t happened quite yet. I do like that things are developing beyond lust between the characters and are heading gradually into the romance department. Get ready for a cliffhanger with this book, not as intense as the first, but one still nonetheless. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens in the next book.

I couldn't not immediately start this book after how book one ended. Yes I'm addicted to three Demons and a whatever Aria is. I'm excited to carry on this series to find out.

"But with Aria, I want more. I have her soul. Our sexual chemistry is hotter than an inferno, but I'm still unsatisfied. I want all of her,"

To say I'm obsessed would be an understatement. Watch me fall further in love with Cain and Elias in book two than I was in book one. Dorian is still awesome but I feel like Aria is holding him off for a reason. I love all of them though.

We start book two with tensions high. I won't say too much, to not reveal spoilers but I'm thankful that what happened at the end of book one wasn't dragged out. It's not resolved but it's all good, I'm still sitting on the edge of my seat, because there is now a bigger set of problems for our three demon's and Aria have to solve.

To be honest tensions are high between everyone.
    Aria and Cain.
    Dorian and Cain.
Elias and the little fur-ball Lynx Aria rescued. Hell hound vs Kitty is hilarious!

Our main girl's emotions are tackled in this book. I finds out something from her beginning that just breaks my heart for her. This may be a paranormal romance, completely fiction but the emotions, the turmoil, all the feels are real.

"You wanted the monster," I whisper against her mouth, unable to deny the irresistible urge to fuck her senseless. I want to draw every kind of reaction out of her. "Here I am." I can't deal with Cain. I am just lost for words. In reverse harems I always fall for this kind of character.

When we think of Demon's, you think soulless and to be honest they are but we see them dealing with very human emotions and struggle with it and I LOVE IT! It's thrilling to read that war within themselves because you really don't know what they're going to do.

AND watching my girl Aria battling her own emotions between the three demon's as well is everything. Also what I love about her is that it's not in a whiny way. She is still strong and fierce and I love her for that.

Book three - I'm coming for you!

    Good

WARNING! Hellacious Cliffhanger ending! This one is HUGE and very abrupt.

Picking up from book one’s cliffhanger ending, we see Aria being kidnapped, while the Demons’ relics are stolen, both by a dragon shifter.
Aria’s kidnapping is fairly quickly resolved, but the relics are another matter.
In addition to these issues, Aria and the demons are trying to find out about her past, and an old acquaintance is causing trouble for the demons.

Like the first book, this one is filled with action, adventure, and smexy times. Fortunately, the encounter with the dragon seems to have made everyone wise up a little, though Aria still makes silly mistakes. Her biggest mistake is STILL not trying to find information- she gets sidetracked way to easily.
The second book in the series is actually better than the first, mostly because we are really coming to know the characters in it, and because as they become more developed, we become more invested in the tale.

The scene stealer of the book is a lynx kitten, one who seems to have it in for Elias, and there are some mysterious happenings that seem to be part of an ongoing plot, about which we know very little.

The cliffhanger ending will definitely leave you gasping and hanging, so thank goodness the rest of the series is already out- you will want the next book lined up pronto!

Recommended for fans of paranormal RH romance, especially those who like it to be a little on the dark side.

    SPOILERS AHEAD

I just got immensely frustrated with both the men and woman, so much so I stopped reading and haven't gone back. I probably will, but I'm not sure. Here's why:

Why I'm frustrated with the guys:

So, you know that your Father(Lucifer) is after your girl, and you don't tell her, why? Because you don't want to scare her, stupid reason. You already know she is reckless, has gotten kidnapped from your drive way once already, and a group of snake-shifters JUST tried to kidnap her again. On top of that she has a wickedly powerful demon attached to her, yet you continue to underestimate not only her but also THE DEVIL

Why I'm frustrated with the girl:

So you know your men were kicked out of Hell by The Devil himself, you've been warned that he is cunning and evil as f**ck (by demons no less), he's already sent a group of snake-shifters to kidnap you, yet when you see an Angel hanging out in the backyard YOU TRUST him!? So, maybe you talk to him, and maybe that interaction gets the best of you, and you agree to let him help you, but when he runs away when one of your men come by and you know he did something to make your issue worse, you still don't tell anyone you even saw an Angel.. why?

My husband says "it's just a plot device to move the story along", but I don't actually give a f**ck, the stupidity is unbearable!

  • Books+Coffee=Happiness Blog

Book two in this series starts off with a bang ... there's tons of action, super hot scenes, and the mystery surrounding Aria doubles.

Elias, Cain, and Dorian have never met anyone like Aria. They don't understand the shadow living inside her any more than she does. In the mix of trying to figure where she came from or what she is, they're also still on the hunt for the relics they need in order to return to Hell.

Dragons, kidnappings, and lots of hot sex make this a book I couldn't put down. By the end, I'm still left wondering exactly who or what Aria is, and whether or not her demons will realize she's more important than them returning to Hell. They've been around for centuries but still haven't realized love is more important than anything else.... stubborn men!

While the book does end with a cliffhanger, and you definitely need to read book 1 before diving into this one, I found that I had to know what happened next. I flipped through the pages, gobbling up every scene, and now I'm eager to read the next installment. Hopefully, all my questions will be answered and Aria will get her happily ever after with her demon trio!

The second book picks up where book one stopped. Aria is kidnapped by Sir Surchion, but manages to escape and is reunited with her three demons. Her relationships with them deepens, they get closer, and also her secrets are no longer secrets - since Saya has been spotted, she is forced to admit her existence. On the other side, Aria now knows why Cain, Dorian, and Elias need the relics - only, she is not sure what this means for her. And even more confusing is the fact that someone from the Hell is targeting her.
Enjoyable and well-paced story peppered with some steamy scenes and deep emotions. The changes in Aria are noticeable, not only in her abilities but also in her thinking and attitude, her acceptance of the demons and attachment firm enough to make her want to protect them. I absolutely adored the addition of Cassiel, that little one came wreaking havoc especially to Elias's life :D and now that the dragon threat found certain closure, the Hell becomes the main enemy. Looking forward to see how the main quartet finds a way out of this mess.

  • Murphy

The plot of this story has me very intrigued. This book we finally got some answers as to what Aria could be and where she is from. Kinda.

The steam finally played out and Aria has officially gotten her wish with all the guys. Cain, Dorian and Elias. Unfortunately she still wants to get away from them and her back and forth is kind of exhausting. The steam is sexy and I want more. They all have feelings towards her and her to them, but are still against it. We still don't have answers to what happened with the guys and the girl before. Serena.

After the back and forth, they are faced against the Dragon and are ready to get their relics back! Doing do comes at a cost though and then the book ends on a cliffhanger.

I will be continuing on with Book 3, but I need their back and forth to stop soon. lol.

    *Overall 3.5/5
    *Heat? 5/5
    *Fast Burn
    *Multiple first person POV
    *Ends on cliffhanger

Aria escapes a dragon only to be taken back into the mansion of the three gorgeous demons who own her soul. All she wants is her freedom, but her heart beats hard for Cain, Dorian, and Elias. They all struggle with their emotions as the search for the powerful relics continue. And it's not only the dragon after Aria now. It could be Hell has reached up to grab her.

This is the thrilling second book in the gritty and steamy Sin Demons series. There is never a dull moment. Everything hits hard and fast. Aria is stuck in a seemingly impossible to escape from situation. I love seeing how her relationship with the demons is growing, each one in a unique way. Elias is my favorite, the randy hellhound! I still love the dragon shifter that torments Aria. What a villain! And now other evil players are moving in. I can't wait to read more in this series.

  • Nikki

Aria is in the clutches of a creepy, surprise dragon and the demons are hunting for her. Is it surprising that somehow the four manage to find each other on this “rescue mission?” Back at the mansion with a new addition, it’s time to lay the cards on the table.

The demons know there’s much to Aria they don’t know or understand, but is she willing to share it all?

Hell in a Handbasket is fast paced and laced with all kinds of action. Just as it seems answers are there for the taking, things keep popping up. Like who is the guy in white Aria keeps spotting on the grounds?

Mila Young and Harper Brooks have mastered cliffhangers and deliver masterfully in their sequel to the Sin Demons series.

  • The Literary

This picks up right where book one left off and it’s off to an exciting start!

Between Aria and the demons, I can’t decide who I love more. Aria is witty and tough but she also has a vulnerable side. The demons are so alpha and protective! Did I also mention hot? I devoured this book! I couldn’t put it down. The pacing is great. Unforgettable characters. It’s got everything you could possibly want. Action, wittiness and steamy hot scenes. Note to the authors, how you gonna end it like that?!

Highly entertaining read that will have you rapidly turning those pages till the very end! I NEED the next book ASAP! I give this 5 stars.

  • Kristen Lewendon

I have been dying to get my hands on the next installment in this series, and this book did not disappoint. Not in the least. The heat gets even hotter. The mysteries get even more mysterious. And their enemies are multiplying like springtime rabbits. At the end of this book, I have far more questions than I have answers, but I’m almost okay with that. I know there’s more story to come that will explain all about Aria and her connection to these demons. My fingers are also crossed that we’ll learn in the next one that the ending to this book wasn’t as final as it looks.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author through Black Cat.

  • Dianna E

Loved part two in this series. Loaded with suspense, dark humor, action & a few Sexy scenes. Aria the FMC is a mix of strength and bravery, naivete and compassion. The romantic relationships develop, Aria is more honest and is more of a fighter in this book, but still has emotional moments, a good balance. Who is Aria Cross? What will be next for her? Where will she end up at the end of this series? Can't wait to find out the answers. The only thing that made me grit me teeth and start violently shaking was the cliff hanger the book ended on. Book 3 is supposed to be released at the end of February 2021. NOT SOON ENOUGH!!!

  • Jennifer Soppe

Keep the action going and feelings flowing

Aria, an unknown supernatural, finds herself kidnapped by dragons and wondering if this is any better than the three demons (Cain, Dorian, and Elias) who bought her from her foster father As the story progresses escape is close, she gets pulled back in, and a new player enters the game. Mila Young and Harper A. Brooks keep the action going and feelings flowing in Hell in a Handbasket. I don’t know if I should be happy or angry that this book ends in a cliff hanger.

I read this book with my Kindle Unlimited subscription and I received a free copy of the book from the author. I had the opportunity to review or not.

  • Lexi

This is an amazing series that just keeps getting better. I loved this second book and all the twists and turns. This book picks up right where the previous one ended which I’m very happy about. There’s a lot of action in this one and definitely a good amount of passion though a bit slower paced. Though the cliffhanger at the end drove me a bit crazy and made me want to yell at the book and need the next book in the series. Aria gets to find out more about her past and this definitely kept me on the edge of my seat nervous for what would be coming next. I love the personal relationships developing more and the character development. This is an amazing series and a must read!

  • Penny

This is the second book in this series, and the hotness factor has increased! Poor Aria is in a heap of trouble again, and her men must drag her out of trouble and rescue her. However, they need rescued, too, and to rescue them, they have to start trusting her, and that is hard for these men to do. This is a great follow up to the first one, and these authors have hit it out of the park. Book two is steamier than the first one, so hold on to your panti…er, seats. LOL! We are getting closer to finding out what Aria is, and I can’t wait. Recommend. I was provided a complimentary copy which I voluntarily reviewed.

  • Ange Bennetts

Aria, an innocent and somewhat naive girl, who actually has hidden depths and seems to be stronger than Lucifer's own son. Basically everything you want in a heroine. Now chuck in a pride demon, an incubus and a hellhound - yup, you guessed it, the perfect ingredients for a RH. This second book manages to out surpass the first by making the big bad, even badder than first imagined. Oh and maybe the big bad isn't the worst our MC's have to face? Exciting, steamy and just all around hot, Hell in a Handbasket it is indeed! Loved it

  • Charlotte

A dragon as well as getting back the relics is what keeps Aria (FMC) and the guys - Cain, Dorian and Elias. These four seem to be getting more closer with some very steamy results but also some laughs & playful banter. Elias's problem with little Lynx Cassiel was a source of laughs and so was Aria's trip with him to go shopping for cat toys. Aria's shadow Sayah gets more book time too and im still trying to work out if shes bad or good? This series just keeps getting better and that ending was knockout! Im totally loved reading this book and i cant wait for the next one now

  • Margareth Davis

    Enjoy the series!

Lots of twist and turns in this rh pr. All the hot broody men and their woman have lots of steamy times throughout, not together but one on one so far. Just mf so far as well. I'm hoping the next one comes out sooner than expected. I was sad to see it's not quite out as I finished the first two in 3 days. Really one of those books you can't put down! This girl is fierce and actually tries to leave her captors. Not believing the ones where they are kidnap and instantly fall for the dude. This is more realistic in that aspect.

  • Naurarwen

Man, I adore this series. Like a lot! I also want to steal Elias! Book two ends with one hell of a cliffhanger which means I'm so ready for book three in the Sin Demons series. Book two pretty much starts off where book one ended after Aria has been kidnapped by a dragon and her demon men are trying to find not just her but also the relics.

In this book we get to see a bit more of all the characters, though I still want to know exactly what Aria is and where she comes from cause all of that is still a mystery even now.

A brilliant read and one I couldn't put down!

  • Jessica Robbins

*I received a free copy of this book which I voluntarily chose to write an honest review for.

If you thought book one was good this one is even better. We pick back up where we left off. Aria is being taken away by a dragon and has to escape while her three demons are looking for her. The suspense is high as the book starts then it settles a little bit before ramping up for the ending that makes you want book three now. The combo of Young and Brooks is truly explosive as we get a series that will hook you from page one. I totally loved it so I give it 5/5 stars.
