I never expected to fall for The Suitor.

I actually trip on the hem of my dress.

It wasn’t my idea to come on the reality show, because who really falls in love after twelve weeks? I’m not good at love... or being camera-ready 24/7. The other contestants know all about the First Date Rose, how to get The Suitor alone on a group date, and they all have a plan on how to best win his heart. It’s not going to be easy playing nice with them.

But when I meet The Suitor— Grayson Grant, former player on and off the field, and with the smile that can light up a city—it’s the spark between us that makes me forget all the reasons I didn’t want to come on the show.

I’m going to win this.

Unfortunately, twenty-five other women think the same thing.

Falling for The Suitor is the first in the new Suitor Science Series, a charmingly sweet, swoony, and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy full of sparks and power surges.

I was expecting to be gripped by this story since page one. I was expecting to read it in a day (you know how reality shows are). It was much slower than I expected, but it was not bad.
I wasn’t surprised by the ending, I wasn’t particularly impressed, but I wasn’t disappointed either. A perfectly okay book. It had its funny moments, its romantic moments, and the protagonist isn’t insufferable which I’m always scared of.

Falling for the suitor is a cute, romantic story which is somewhat bases on "The Bachelor". Now this book was good but I have read so many books like thess that I've simply lost interest. But if you are a big fan of this "trope" then you might like this book.

This book is about a woman who don't think that she's been the type of person who competes in a reality dating show but then she meets our male lead Grayson who's (obviously) "The Suitor", the one who's going to date 25 women for the show, and well you know what's going to happen. It's told from a Dual POV which I liked since I find dual pov books to be more easy to read (most of the time). But beware- this book is slowly paced. I'm not a big fan of slow paced books. The ending was rushed too. It could have been a great book but since I'm not really interested in the specific trope this belongs into I would rate it 2.5 stars.

Thanks a lot to Netgalley for providing me with an e-arc of this book.

This was a 3.5/5 stars for me so I rounded it up a bit!

"You just forgot my name, didn't you?"

Let me just say, I am a sucker for romance novels, I love reading things that I can't have--my therapist might need to hear about this. I loved it, it was cute and had moments where you'd laugh but there were times where I felt like the book needed more. More details to the other contestants make us have some sort of doubt it wouldn't work out so we won't know how the story ends but overall it was a decent read and I'm glad I got a chance to read this one!

If you're a fan of The Bachelor, then this book is for you. It was a quick and fun read. I really enjoyed reading about Grayson and Bexley falling for each other while navigating being on a reality show where Grayson had to also date 25 other women.. yeah that was interesting. In the end, love prevails all.

first of all, thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this ARC.

this was my first book by Holly Kerr and i know this not gonna be the last because i’m so in love with her writing. i’ve never read any book that about dating show but i used to watch a lot. the blurb from this book literally sounds amazing and that’s why i requested this book. it’s about Bexley who compete in a reality show with another 24 women who trying to win Grayson’s heart. that’s it and if you wanna know more GO READ THIS.
the plot in this book is sooo fast-paced i literally devoured this book. it’s so hard to stop reading this book like every chapters is so intriguing. and yup like i said the writing is sooo amazing if feels like you’re in the book. AND WHAT I LOVED ARE WE GOT A DUAL POVS, A VERY CUTE BANTER, A HEARTWARMING ROMANCE, AND A FRIENDSHIPS IN COMPETITION. Bexley and Grayson’s relationship is easy to develop but their characters has no development but it’s fine bcs their chemistry is soo strong and you can see how genuine they are towards each other. the side characters also very interesting and love all the dramas in the reality show. HOWEVER, there’s something that i couldn’t give 5 ⭐️. it’s because THE ENDING OH GOD REALLY DISAPPOINTS ME IT SHOULD BE MORE…ITS SO RUSHED…THAT BOOK DESERVES ONE OR TWO MORE CHAPTERS TO WRAP IT WELL bcs this book has so much potential and so much could have been done….BUT NVM I REALLY ENJOYED THIS BOOK!! would recommend this book to anyone who loves reality shows/dating shows.

Y'all. I received this book as an advance reader copy and DEVOURED it in a single day. Such a fun story! I loved getting to hear Greyson's story after meeting him in the Neely/Dawson/Shae storyline. I really enjoyed reading this story and getting to know the characters as well as I did, plus I am super excited for the rest of the books in this series.
Only thing I had an issue with is that I felt like the majority of the issues in this book could have been resolved with a quick chat, had Greyson just shut up and listened. Of course, that just shows what well-rounded characters Holly writes, that I was so frustrated with a character, amiright? Either way, it was a great story and I always love Holly Kerr books. If you're looking for a quick, fun, easy read, definitely check this one out!
**I received this book for free but that in no way impacted my opinion or review of this story.**

Thank you very much NetGalley and Three Birds Press for letting me read and review this ARC.

♡ Falling for The Suitor revolves around Bexley, a woman who couldn't see herself compete in a reality dating show, but when she met The Suitor—former pro baseball player Grayson Grant, there's an instant spark between them that makes her forget all the reasons she didn’t want to come on the show. Unfortunately, 25 other women are also trying to win Grayson's heart.

♡ This story is narrated from a dual perspective. It hyped my anticipation because I love reading lead male POV and Holly Kerr nailed it.

♡ I love watching reality dating shows and this story gave me The Bachelor vibes, the reason why I was instantly hooked when I read the first chapter. Expect that there would be petty, snob, mean girls, rivalries, as well as annoying crew staff in this story. Bexley and Grayson are really into each other and their first meeting was so good that it made me want the ground to swallow me up! I love their banter and they always made my toes curl and felt the butterflies in my stomach.

♡ I enjoyed reading this story! I finished reading it in one day because I loved it and it made me not want to stop reading! I was not even aware that I had already reached the last part. Though, I think they both deserve a proper ending because it feels like it's kinda rushed. I'm expecting there's gonna be more of Bex and Grayson moments off the cam. Also, it would have been better if Grayson's career ending was expounded more. Overall, this is a sweet, quick-paced, and light-read story. If you're into watching The Bachelor, Love Island etc...This story will make you swoon!

This book is one fast paced whirlwind delight!
I went into this book hoping to like it and it did not disappoint. Grayson(or should i say Bryson?) was a fresh change because he wasnt perfect. I love that the author wrote a realistic pov for him and still managed to make me like him. He seems like an actual human instead of being all- "too perfect and noble."
Bexley was a girl boss and if this was actually a season of The Suitor, I'd totally be betting on her! I'd love to know more about what happens with Chrissa, Esme and Perry. Chrissa more, though. Also, Fiona (who represents me lol) needs to have her own book and a HEA.
    This book has
    - Likeable characters
    - Banterrrrr
    - A heartwarming romance
    - Friendships in competitions (because those are the best.)
I loved it and you should to!!

"You just forgot my name, didn't you?"
The first thing Bexley said to Greyson. The story follows Bexley as she goes through a season of The Suitor - a show similar to the Bachelor. The Suitor this season just so happens to be Greyson, a former pro baseball player. Bexley is unremarkably herself and doesn't pretend to be anything she's not, which most of the other contestants tend to be - fake.

Each chapter changes POV between Bexley and Greyson, so you get both of their perspectives. You get to see their thoughts and how they start to fall in love. You see both aspects of the dates, from Bexley's point of view and Greyson's. I thought it was great that you got to see that Bexley was jealous of the other contestants, but did her best not to show it. Where you'd see Greyson attempting to get to know these numerous women who will do anything for love and 5 minutes of fame.

Bexley was a well rounded character. She wasn't your typical damsel in distress. She was an independent woman who was intelligent, going to grad school, working as a mechanic, and was hopelessly awkward when it comes to love.

I didn't like how the ending came so fast and was so short. The build up of their relationship only to have the end lacking. It is a HEA, but it was too short for my liking. Otherwise, I completely recommend this book!

Bexley didn’t imagine herself to be the kind of woman who would compete in a reality dating show let alone actually fall in love with the suitor but with 25 other women who are trying to win Grayson’s heart will the connection be enough?

Holly Kerr takes you on the dramatic journey of Bexley and Grayson trying to dig deep and find love while also juggling the attention of other women. The alternating perspectives of the two leaves the reader feeling the butterflies, getting jealous, and being frustrated over the miscommunications. I enjoyed this unique story of reality dating shows and trying to build deeper connections while the world watches. My only downfall with the book is how the ending seems to be fast-forwarded in comparison to the rest of the book. There’s no real sense of time in terms of what point of the show they’re in. If you are a fan of the reality dating shows, this is for you! You’ll get an inside point of view on what goes on.

    rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️.5
Grayson is a former pro baseball player and he is the new Suitor for a Canadian dating show. Bexley was dared by her sister to join the show as a contestant which starts Bexley and Grayson’s story to falling in love. Opening up and loving someone is already difficult, but now add 24 other girls into the mix and millions of viewers, things just got a lot more complicated.
I really enjoyed reading this book. If you are a fan of the bachelor you are going to love this book. If you are like me and read The Selection when you were younger you are also going to love this book. Bexley and Grayson have incredible chemistry and compliment each other so well.

  • Kristen Lewendon

The author has given us a very unique twist on what I think most of us believe goes on behind the scenes with reality television. I had fallen in love with Grayson in the author's ‘Don't Sweet Romance’ series. I had fallen so hard, that I was a bit of an emotional wreck when I discovered how that series ended. I absolutely needed to know how Grayson was going to get his happily ever after. Bexley wasn't the solution I was expecting but she's pretty much perfect for it. I think we can all relate to her; with her desire to win, but also with her desire to find a deeper connection with someone. I had so much fun reading this book. It has lots of laughs, but it also has deep introspective moments too. I can't wait to see what the author brings us next.

⭐ Review: First of all, I just want to say that being provided this ARC felt like fate. I only very recently came back to bookstagram and this is both my first ARC of the year & the first ARC I've received in about three years and the fact that I'm actually such a reality show fan just makes this all so much sweeter. Anyways, to the actual review.

I literally DEVOURED this book. I was torn between going through it in one go and stopping every once in a while so I wouldn't finish it so quickly. The writing is amazing, the premise already sucks you in and it feels like there's so much happening that you just have to continue reading. It's such a light, fun & easy read that I sometimes forgot I was reading.

As someone who's a huge fan of reality TV shows like Are you the one, Love Island & Ex on the Beach, I feel like all the events that happened in the book are actually feasible and can actually happen behind the scenes in reality TV shows so the imagery in this book is definitely something I could praise for hours on end.

There's a gaggle of characters (as expected, since we already have the MANY contestants, plus you gotta bring in the crew mentioned, as well as family members, Grayson's friends, etc.) and literally almost every single one of them is multi-dimensional, and the author shows you so much of their personality, but still leaves enough for you to want more. I love how there's different thought processes there, from Grayson who's The Suitor who was actually a contestant in a previous season. We've got Fiona, Bex's best friend, who wasn't even physically present in the actual storyline, and we only got to know her by Bex talking about her and yet, we got to know her and her perspective on both the show & love in general.

I absolutely ADORE the fact that this book gives you a glimpse of what actually happens behind the curtain, so to speak. What you see on the TV isn't even remotely close to what actually happens. The producers can alter it any way that they want, take whatever parts of real life they have from the footage and edit it to their liking, to tell a storyline of their choosing. They can depict the contestants however they want, they can nudge them in the direction that they want, not every conversation is genuine, and not every conversation will be shown in its entirety and the book really talks about it, which is something I deeply appreciate. It gives a certain perspective that I feel like plenty of people would find refreshing.

However, what I didn't particularly like about this book and the reasons I didn't immediately give this a 5 star rating are:
    - Bexley sometimes comes off as that "I'm not like other girls" trope that I absolutely DESPISE. It was only mentioned about two times in the book that she's an electrician, she's used to being around grumpy men or smart men, she never had a group of girlfriends before, that she's the quirky "I didn't bring a bag of makeup, unlike SOME girls, because I'm different and therefore, much better than them". I'm pretty sure that wasn't the author's intention but but it did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
    - The ending felt incredibly rushed. It felt like a very hastily wrapped gift, and someone slapped a bow on it and called it a day. I feel like the book deserved at least one more chapter to just purge all the feelings from the last few pages, instead of just going the '...and they all lived happily ever after' route. There was so much potential, so much could have been done and it really made me think about how some parts in the middle of the book felt dragged out and yet, near the end where things are SO IMPORTANT and the pressure is high and the stakes are high, everything was just fast forwarded.

📖 Would recommend for: Those who are fans of The Bachelor & the show UnREAL! If you're a fan of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo because it gave the perspective of life behind all the glitz and the glamour, then this book is for you too!

Expected publication is on January 25, 2022!

There's no way I'd ever (willingly) watch the Bachelor, I don't like reality shows but that whole concept into a book tho? It sounded like a great idea for a romcom right away.
I loved that we get to see POVs of both sides it was a great fast paced read that had the right amount of fun, cuteness and drama.

**Thank you NetGalley for the free copy of this ARC in exchange for my honest review.**

This was an easy and cute read that I got through in one session. If you love reality shows like The Bachelor, Falling for The Suitor is set completely around a Canadian based version of the show. Whilst there were changes of the format to make this its own little world as well as perhaps more readable, I did find the concept matched well with what you come to expect from shows like this. There were enough characters to play the different types of people you run into on these shows to make a variety of reactions and situations as the book progressed.

However, I did find this story to overall lack in anything that took it a further step and made this more than just the dating show concept. It was a fun read, and both Bexley and Grayson were likeable. Their connection was more told than shown, but the moments together were sweet and genuine. I liked that they both struggled with their instant connection within the show's format, but it did get a little repetitive that Grayson had to be reminded that he had to put effort into all the girls equally instead of rushing towards Bexley every time. Whilst this did add a little angst to the plotline, it didn't do enough to make the hardships of this book believable enough. As I said above, there was more telling than building up the relationship and storyline enough for the reader to find the experience realistic.

I also struggled with the ending being far too rushed and neatly tied together in a bow, where attention dragged on some of the earlier parts of the story. Whilst it was still an enjoyable enough read, I feel the author could have focused more on some of the ideas they started but never fully followed through with, such as resolving the issue Grayson had around his father. It's a shame because I could truly see the potential of what the author was attempting to do with this world but didn't quite execute it enough.

I believe this could make for an enjoyable read for many people who enjoy reality shows written into books.

  • Kai

Falling for the Suitor is a palate cleanser romcom, which is equal parts sweet and forgettable. While I knew the premise, I was still a little irked by the idea of pitting women against each other to fight for a man. I wanted the novel to do something more, to subvert the trope but while that didn't happen, it was still enjoyable. It was okay.

Expect a standard romance book and you'll be fine!

  • Laura Chapman

This was a cute instalove story for fans of reality dating shows ala The Bachelor. The drama between the contestants and the heroine/hero’s back stories were the highlights of this story.

I would’ve liked to see more of what made our core couple fall for each other. Beyond their initial sparks upon meeting, and a couple of basic conversations, I wanted to see more blossom between the couple emotionally. With a story having this premise, it would’ve been nice to see them having to really learn to trust each other and build a connection with the backdrop of such a fantasy experience. By the end, Baxley and Grayson’s relationship came together in a cute way, leaning into that reality TV/fantasy element.

I really enjoyed this book. There are 2 POV’s which is always a positive in my book. The book was fast paced. There were parts that I was laughing at and other parts that I was angry with.

I honestly could have used a little more drama than this book gave. And the ending was VERY rushed.

Overall it was a fun read and I look forward to reading her other books in the series!

Falling for the Suitor by Holly Kerr

    Publication Date: 25 January 2022

The synopsis was my cup of tea, and I couldn’t wait to delve into it to see how the competition to find love would play out.

It captured my attention right from the start as it’s straight to the action of the show beginning. The writing style flows well and is immersive, you feel as though you’re a part of the show!

The two main characters, Grayson and Bexley, are likeable and I felt invested in the outcome and protective of them during this crazy, intense experience they’re participating in.

Their was depth to the characters. Grayson is an ex baseball player who had to stop due to injury. He feels lost without his main love, baseball. He’s also dealing with the past hurt of his Father leaving the family when he was a teenager, which you can see has shaped his relationships leading to him being closed off and struggling to make meaningful connections.

Bexley is not a girly girl which I liked and has her own issues when it comes to finding love. It’s a difficult environment for her to try to find love in, and most of the women are there for themselves. Can she trust the contestants who want to befriend her?

I really enjoyed the dual POV, it’s a fave of mine as you get into the psyche of both characters to better understand their feelings. I loved the easy way the relationship develops between them, and their teasing each other back and forth was great. They have good chemistry and you can see there’s a genuine connection there.

I enjoyed the interviewing segments which gave a bit more insight into the other contestants, and shows how it would feel to be under the microscope in such a way the whole time. I can’t even imagine being under that intense scrutiny whilst trying to work out how you feel about someone.

The side characters were interesting and added to the understanding of the main characters. I really liked Emmett and Shae when they had the double date, and it was good to see Bexley’s brother Boen and girlfriend Rachel - the skunk part had me laughing!

Let’s be honest, the show isn’t a great place to be if you have genuine feelings for someone. Bexley had the other women’s jealousy to deal with at times, plus her own feelings on having to watch, and hear about, the guy she likes go on numerous dates with other women.

Plus as it’s a show there’s the element where neither main character knows what’s genuine and what’s just for the cameras so they can stay in the competition. They are also restricted in their interactions as have to follow the schedule of the show and can’t have any alone time together, although they manage to find a couple of moments! The producers also throw in some complications along the way which has Bexley and Grayson second guessing things - his ex turning up and becoming a contestant was unexpected but made for some good reading!

I really enjoyed reading the last few chapters and wondering how everything would play out. It did feel a little rushed at the end - there’s some confusion, some hurt feelings, followed by the happy ending we all want,

Overall, Falling for The Suitor was a fun, feel good read. It’s the first novel in a new Suitor Science series, and I’m looking forward to the next instalment!

Thank you to NetGalley for this ARC in return for an honest review!

This was…something. This Canadian version of The Bachelor franchise sees Bexley and Grayson going on this journey together to find love against all odds and the drama anticipating audience at home.

I thought that because of my new Bachelor's obsession that this would hit the spot as I wait for this week's new episode but it really frustrated me. I found the dialogue struggled to really say or do anything for the reader (aside from the girls' pow-wow waxing scene), the characters of Grayson and Bexley were miscommunication nation for no reason at all and the whole climax/big conflict of the novel was subpar at best. I also don’t feel like we got to see enough of the falling in love bits that we would should this have just been a normal romance novel. I think the isolated perspective of having this reality show being the bookends of the story really limited the perspective for the reader to truly care about any of the characters, especially the secondary ones. The end also felt really rushed and tried to be too ‘cinematic’ without really painting the picture for the reader.

I also did not like how Chrissa’s honest and really powerful search for her sister, speaking to the history and current issues of Indigenous women in Canada, was tacked on at the end of her storyline. Whether that was meant to set the stage for another book, it felt lazy on behalf of the author to put something so important like that as an almost postscript for Chrissa.

I can say that I did like the fact that this was set in Canada and that the author really did capture the cattiness of reality tv and what it means to truly feel like you can trust someone fully when you’re also playing to an audience.

Maybe I’m being overly critical but since this is my first NetGalley arc review, I wanted to be thorough! Overall, this book could have done well with a few more drafts and better structuring of the very characters we are supposed to root for.

  • Alyssa Childers

    4.5 Stars!

Falling for the Suitor by Holly Kerr is a charming, light-hearted, dual-pov, romantic comedy with adorable character personas and a fight for love under the spotlight of a reality dating show.

Twenty-five female contestants. Three sparks. One Suitor. One chance at true love.

Falling for the Suitor follows suitor Grayson Grant, a retired baseball player, and his journey to find love after events following his last appearance on “The Suitorette,” and contestant Bexley, an electrician from a small town, making her appearance on the show as merely a dare from her friend Fiona. While Bexley has always found Grayson attractive, it isn't until that first fall that she realizes she is in this to win, and when I say fall, I mean to trip over a long blue dress in heels. Literally. It is a competition for love, but as she thinks she has captured his attention, even as he remains entirely infatuated from their first interaction, there are still twenty-five other girls thinking the same thing as her...including his “ex” from “The Suitorette.” The one that let him get away.

From awkward hugs, forgotten names, and stolen kisses to playing the game of Reality TV for the heart of a swoon-worthy suitor and finding the perfect love, this book is by far one of the best romantic comedies I have ever read. Bexley was adorable, and I LOVED her character. She had all these little personality traits of the perfectly bubbly heroine. For Grayson...I have no words. Just like Bexley, this man was even better than his looks, both figuratively and on paper. Holly Kerr did an incredible;e job with the side characters of this series. Even from limited descriptions, many of the side characters made an impact. There were a few areas I wished I could have had more insight and details on involving who the characters are and how they interact with those around them, but overall I enjoyed this book tremendously.

Falling for the Suitor is the first book in the Suitor Science Series. A series I have no doubt will become a personal favorite. I am so excited to read about other character stories in-depth.

Thanks very much to NetGalley and the publishers for a free ARC in exchange for a review!

My guilty pleasure is hate-watching the Bachelor so I knew this would be a fun ride for me.

And I was right, it is pretty cute and fluffy, but it also has a couple of things that really annoyed me.

The book has this habit of dropping random insane minor plotlines like a missing sister or an accident leading to memory issues. They're super insane occurances that are randomly dropped in the same way "I have a dog" would be in normal books. I realise this is a reality show based story but it felt really jarring and strange like the author was trying to set up a thousand and one sequels all at once.

Which is another thing, with the amount of info-dumping, I almost felt like I had been dropped into the middle of a series. Like the random explanation that someone met their significant other while blowing up a lab? What.

This is a fun book, but it has tons of annoying "pick me", "not like other girls" bits and pieces that are thrown in that almost ruin it for me. Grayson is pretty much the bare minimum of "yeah sure women should have rights" while also appreciating "taut tummies", talking about how "the flawless look isn't natural", and picturing threesomes with women who aren't the main love interest. It made me not really like him. Also he's described as wearing "cargo shorts and [a] Quints fishing shirt" so I was immediately turned off.

Bexley is also fun and interesting, but then she goes off about other women and how she doesn't join in on their "spa nights and day drinking" which I guess makes her cool and better? Sounds boring, Bex, you should have some fun.

Also the ending is incredibly abrupt. Literally it's action action action, boom end of the book. It's so quick you almost don't realise the book is over.

Saying all this, the book was fun, and Bexley and Grayson were cute. I don't think this is one getting a prize spot on my shelf, but I'm not mad that I read it.

Three and a half stars, rounded up to four for Goodreads.

Thank you to Three Birds Press and NetGalley for the complimentary copy. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Falling for the Suitor takes us behind the fictional stage of a Bachelor-type show. Pro baseball player Grayson dates 25 women and has to figure out who isn’t there for the right reasons all the while knowing that Bexley is who he wants to be the last woman. He’s thrown a curve ball when the former Suitorette Chrissa shows up on night one to see if there is still a spark. Or does she?

The premise and set up were really fun! I loved the dialogue and the author really did a good job setting up a sense of space. I felt like I was at the resort and could hear the lake and smell the turning leaves.

But overall, the book fell a bit flat for me. The pacing felt off — Grayson and Bexley were really into each other in the beginning and for a loooong time there was just … nothing happening between them and then, bam! HEA time. I loved the moments we saw between Grayson and Bexley, I just wish there were more!

I also would have loved some more substance from the other women on the show. Bexley and Chrissa’s friendship was one of my favorite parts of the book and I wish we got more!

There was also some trauma experienced by characters that was completely glossed over — Bexley’s car accident and Chrissa’s sister — that had a lot of potential to make the characters more dimensional.

Overall it was fun, light romance — I just hoped for a little more!

Thank you to NetGalley, Three Birds Press, and Holly Kerr for the #arccopy of Falling for the Suitor in exchange for an honest review.

    OUT JANUARY 25, 2022.

This book is basically like reading the bachelor, so if you are a fan of the show, you will *probably* like this book. There are one-on-ones between a producer and a contestant at the beginning of each chapters, the book is dual POV so you get to see both sides of the relationship and all the miscommunications that occur, and Kerr has a funny take on things that almost definitely happen in the bachelor world.

I really liked the scenes that they had together, and I thought that they had good chemistry/banter, but because of the entire premise of the show, there were a lot of chapters focused on other girls and their dates with the suitor, which took away from Bexley + Grayson quite often. It was understandable in the context, but ultimately, not what I am usually looking for in a romance. Because of that, it also made the plot—especially the ending—feel rushed, like they weren’t given the proper time to develop their relationship. Although, anyone who watches the bachelor or knows anything about it knows that that’s actually pretty accurate!

Also, it has to be said that there were a lot of typos and my editor brain cannot handle that. It drove me a bit crazy throughout reading.

Overall, if you enjoy reality shows and/or the bachelor, then you might enjoy this read!

Thank you so much to NetGalley and Three Birds Press for the opportunity to read and review Falling for The Suitor.

I finished this book in less than I day, I could barely put it down. I stayed up until 2 am devouring it and read it while I was brushing my teeth, eating and during my break from work.

The premises of the book is so fun, especially if you have seen shows like the Bachelor. Kerr’s writing creates a fun and fast-paced read.

I loved that it was a dual perspective and really enjoyed getting a peek inside of both Bexely and Grayson’s heads. Their relationship was adorable and their chemistry very well written.

There were two things that made me give this book a rating of 3.5.
    1. This book had some definite “I’m not like the other girls” pick me girl moments which was a bit obnoxious.
    2. The first few weeks of the dating show lasted the majority of the book. It didn’t feel like it dragged on but there were other parts of the book that I felt could have been expanded. The conclusion happened so quickly it felt rushed and left me feeling unsatisfied which is unfortunate because otherwise I loved this book. I was ready to give it a 4 or a 5 but the way it wrapped leaves me with rating it a 3.5.

This was a solid 3.75 for me (rounding up here)....

Bexley is competing on The Suitor (very similar to The Bachelor) and it's a fun, lighthearted take on the inside details of the reality show. Whether it's accurate or not is beyond me, but it seemed believable :)

Bex really goes on the show as a dare from her friend, but ends up actually having feelings for "The Suitor", Grayson Grant. The ins and outs of their relationship and the show were sweet and entertaining, but there were a few things that I didn't love....

•the editing left much to be desired (I'm hoping all grammatical and spelling errors are due to this being an ARC and assuming they will be corrected by publication. Otherwise, they are very distracting!)

•I feel like the ending was rushed. I enjoyed reading their story and following along and then it felt like it came to a rushed ending... lots of build up to a short (albeit predictable) ending.

•There were a few storylines that I would have liked to know more about (mention of an accident and memory loss, career ending injury, Bex's brother/girlfriend).

Overall this was a fast paced, easy read. Very sweet and likable!

Thank you to NetGalley and Three Birds Press for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I just finished reading Falling for the Suitor by Holly Kerr! Thank you NetGalley and Victory Editing!

    ARE YOU A BASEBALL FAN?
ARE YOU A FAN OF THE BACHELOR?

If yes to either of the above, you should read this book!

In brief, this is a book that follows a 12 week season of something just like the Bachelor, but instead it is the Suitor. Instead of being in the US, it's in Canada. This book is written in Dual POV. You get to hear from both the female MC and Male MC.

I really enjoyed the story and it reads through very fast.

Another fun feature, you can tell this is written in the times of COVID as even the show is forced to stay "in a bubble" at a resort instead of their normal processes. They never said it was due to a "Bubble" or "Covid" but it is alluded to and in the future I think this will be interesting to look back on.

I know there is a stylistic reason for why the producer comments are always at the beginning of Bexly's chapters and not Grayson's, but it felt a bit clunky and I didn't think it was that much better with them.
