Except for my heart that belonged to her.
My life changed when I spotted her in a stalled car that night.
Lucy was back.
Along with her daughter.
I didn’t know Charlotte was hers when I met her.
She reminded me so much of her mother.
She also reminded me of myself.
I tried to keep my head straight.
There was no way Lucy had kept it a secret.
If she had, then she needed to hear a secret of my own.
Our daughter could be in serious danger.
She wasn’t aware of her identity.
Just like Lucy wasn’t aware of mine.
The dragon shifter in me was here to stay.
To become more powerful.
And to save his family and claim his mate.
Each book in this sexy-as-sin series can each be read as standalones, and has no cliffhangers, but are best read in order.

Finding His Family . . .
A ranch and hotel was left to to six boys who had spent a great deal of time on Dean’s ranch. He had requested they fix up the hotel and ranch, which they did, and both places were successful now. With two couples married with children, Roger is staying more often at the hotel. He cares about his friends, but he feels he doesn’t fit with them as comfortably as before now that they have families of their own.
When a car breaks down in front of the hotel and Roger goes to investigate, he finds his former girlfriend Lucy and her daughter, Charlotte. He had left her when they were 18, not wanting to complicate her life and her plans. But he had not known she was pregnant when he left, and she had not been able to contact him. He saw some of himself in Charlotte and asked her if she was his daughter. Could this be a second chance for their love?
But when they let Charlotte know who he is, she gets angry with her mom for keeping him a secret. However, Roger has to tell both of them that he is a dragon and his daughter might also be one. Will Lucy be able to handle this news? Does she still love him? Would she be willing to give him a second chance? Will he finally get to claim his mate? -
Serena Meadows has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Lucy and Roger. Lucy and Roger had been a couple in high school until he broke up with her. He left town so that she could have her dream of being a doctor. A few weeks after he leaves, she finds out she is pregnant. She had tried to call him but he didn't answer her calls. She tries again but his number had been changed. Now sixteen years later, they meet again at the hotel Roger is part owner of. She is not too happy to see him since he is the father of her daughter Charlotte. Lucy doesn't want Roger to see Charlotte and start asking questions. All she wants to do is get her car fixed and be on her way. Charlotte is not happy to be in the small town and wants to leave. Things don't go the way Luch wants and she and Charlotte end up staying in town for a few days. Roger finds out that Charlotte is his daughter and he wants to get to know her. He invites Lucy and Charlotte out to the ranch so that he can get to know Charlotte a little. Lucy and Roger find out that their feelings for each other have not died with the passing of time. Roger wants them to start over and get to know each other as the people they are now. Lucy doesn't know that Roger is a dragon shifter and finds out in an unexpected way. She is shocked and doesn't know how to react. She wants to know if Charlotte could be a dragon shifter also. Roger tells her it is possible. She wants to know how long before it could happen. At a dance, they all go to, Charlotte with Chris and Lucy with Roger, things happen and Charlotte was told something that upsets her, and she runs off. It is found out that a guy with a record picks her up and it is not good. Roger tells Lucy that he would get Charlotte back, and the guy who took her would pay. Roger finds out where the guy has taken Charlotte and he gets his family to go with him and Lucy to get her. Roger tells her what he is going to do and what he wants her to do once she has Charlotte back. Things don't go the way she plans with she has Charlotte. A man comes up and pushed Lucy down and grabbed Charlotte and starts to pull her away from Lucy. The man tells Charlotte that she has been nothing but trouble since she was picked up. The man starts to do something to Lucy but Charlotte turns into a small dragon and goes after the man.
Will things work out for Lucy and Roger?
Will Charlotte be happy with having Roger as her dad?
This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

'Cowboy Dragon's Secret Daughter' by Serena Meadows is the third book in her Cowboy Dragon's Inn series and tells the story of Lucy and Roger. Lucy and Roger had been a couple and in love when they were younger, until he left town after breaking up with her so she could fulfill her dream of being a doctor. However, Roger gave Lucy a lasting gift before he left, she was pregnant. Lucy tried to contact him to no avail. She had a healthy baby girl, Charlotte, and became a successful doctor in New York. And never heard from or about Roger again.
Sixteen years later, Lucy is passing through town taking Charlotte to a music festival in Denver when her car breaks down. While she is trying to fix it a gentleman comes out of the hotel to ask her if she needs help and she realizes that it's Roger. He was the last person she expected to see. Roger couldn't believe that it was Lucy and he was very happy to see her but only he was happy. Lucy had to call a tow truck because her car was not fixable without a new part. She and Charlotte end up staying in Roger's hotel that he owned with five of his friends from high school which they inherited from their friend Dean when he passed away. This was all news to Lucy who didn't know that Roger had come back to their old hometown. Lucy does not want Roger to start asking questions about Charlotte that she doesn't want to answer.
Roger comes to realize that Charlotte is his daughter and he knows he is going to have to tell Lucy that he is a dragon shifter. Since Charlotte is his daughter she too could be a dragon shifter and she needs to learn about being a shifter. Plus he knows Lucy is his fated mate and wants a second chance. Will Lucy be able to handle his shifter news?
Ms. Meadows has written a compelling addition to her series. This story has drama, suspense, action, passion, trust issues, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and highly recommend it to anyone who likes a bit of drama with their romance. I can not wait for the next book.

This is already book three of this series and tells the story of Roger and Lucy. Roger is one of six dragon shifters who jointly inherited a ranch and a dilapidated inn from the man who guided them all as teenagers. Roger works mainly on the ranch, but spent as much time as possible in the now renovated inn, to be away from the other two men and the women they have fallen in love with.
Lucy is a successful doctor in New York and works a lot. She needs to learn to relax and enjoy herself once again and allow her daughter to see the fun side of her. Lucy and Charlotte were supposed to be on holiday and making their way to a musical festival in Denver when their hire car broke down in front of the Inn. They were once enamored teenagers and now he may have a second chance to make things right. But she has a secret she has been hiding from him. Secrets are leaked by a mean teenage girl and her equally mean father, who has a problem with Roger and his friends for inheriting the ranch and inn. This one tries to cause him even more trouble. A bit of a scary moment for Lucy and Roger, but this is quickly resolved by the dragon shifters who band together to face these evil men.
Read this book and you will know how it's ends. I really enjoyed it and recommend this book with pleasure.

When I read blurb for this romance I assumed the secret daughter mentioned in the car mentioned was a baby or toddler, not a teenager. That wasn’t a huge deal, but I had a hard time thinking Lucy and a Roger were able to pretty much pick up where they left off nearly 17 years ago after Lucy’s initial anger blew over.
This is a fast paced read with the shifter element not really a huge part of the storyline other than Lucy being shocked with how she learns of Roger’s secret.
The characters are interesting, but the storyline moves so fast I can’t say I really felt like I engaged with the story or the characters. The story was a nice distraction from crazy real life, but not something that compelled me to want more when the story ended.

This is the third book in Cowboy Dragon's Inn series. Roger and Lucy's story is a secret child, second chance romance. I really liked it and thought it fit in perfectly with the series. You could read it as a standalone but since the books are connected, I think the series is better read in order. Lucy's on vacation with her teenage daughter when their car breaks down and as fate would have it, it happens in front of the inn that Roger owns with five of his buddies. Roger's only regret is walking away from Lucy when they were younger and that regret grows when he finds out Lucy's daughter Charlotte is his daughter. To complicate matter Lucy doesn't know Roger is a dragon shifter. Will this be their second chance at happiness?

This is a NON-SPOILER REVIEW of Cowboy Dragon's Secret Daughter, the third book in the Cowboy Dragon's Inn series. This is a sweet and touching story of love lost and love found. Lucy and Roger were high school sweethearts. When sacrifices are made to realize dreams, life takes a hard left turn. I love this series and the way things have a dramatic and somewhat angsty way of working out. Sexy shifters, lost mates found and stunning surprises to go around. A fun series that keeps you coming back for more.

Who are Roger and Corey? Where are they? What is happening on this morning when the story starts? Who is Chris? Where do these three work? What is going to be happening in town and what problems does it cause ahead of the event? Who are Lucy and Charlotte? What happens when Roger takes Lucy to the ranch for dinner and to have a 'talk' with her? I liked Regina and Tom but really disliked Trixie and Jason! What does Jason say to Roger that upsets Charlotte? What stunt does Trixie pull at the dance and fireworks? What does it cause Charlotte to do? What is the outcome? Read and see!

Good
Oh what a delightful story! One that you will definitely enjoy this is such a exciting story that has awesome characters, with such great chemitry. You will really enjoy this funny, exciting, thrilling, sweet magical romance! There is a part that will bring tears to your eyes along with the sweetest element, but the one thing I wish is that there was more to the ending I enjoyed the time spent on explaining their relationship because it was such a delight and so much fun to read about their daughter. Overall this is a good paranormal -

He was working at the hotel and a car was parked outside. When he went to ask them to move it he realized it was broken down and guess who owned it.
When he figures out Lucy is his daughter he has to tell his story as she may be a shifter also.
Will he get a second chance with Lucy and get to know his daughter or will obstacles be in their way.
