Really fun little novella. It did a great job with very little space. Felt a bit like the Great Gatsby at moments, but then also introduced the magic of the Tuatha. Given that the main character is one of the Tuatha, I'm surprised and impressed it was able to still keep so much mystery and otherworldliness for them. You never get the sense of them or their magic being everyday or taken for granted.
The main character's relationship is also worth noting for being emotionally complex and challenging, but with love still there. You don't often see that depicted, with most relationships either being mostly awesome or mostly terrible.
Definitely highly recommend it. Would love to read more stories of the Tuatha from the author.
