  Well, Aspen's book was not much better as I hoped. It Would Be You was not good at all. The writing came off as amateurish and juvenile. There was no build up to Destinee and Aspen's reunion. She calls him the day after she moves back and tells him "I need you" and their relationship pretty much takes off from that moment on. Never mind the fact that Destinee and Aspen haven't seen each other in years and she's going through a divorce. I get that they were childhood friends who had crushes on each other but, it still didn't come off as very believable. I didn't like the way the characters spoke. I'm just just not a fan of that type of vernacular. It Would Be You was disappointing. This is the third book I've read from this author and, while I enjoyed the first one, I'm just not a fan of her writing style. It doesn't work for me so, I'll have to give the rest of her catalog a hard pass.

  Aspen is bae! Ain’t no way around it! His passion for Destinee was everything. Lennox had some audacity! He got exactly what he deserved.
  
  Even with this being a short read it had all the feels and aspects of a longer book.

  First, can I say how trash Lennox is? Ughhh...... Miss Destinee knew her worth, and did not let Lennox play her for a fool! She got out of there with that foolishness he brought to her! Going back home with your tail between your legs, is never a good feeling. But, when you have the love and support of good friends and family, you know that you will come out on the other side better and stronger than ever! Aspen, learning that the one who got away is back home for good, is the best news he's received in a long time. He is determined to not let her slip away this time. You could feel the love and adoration both Aspen and Destinee had for each other, and knew that this was their time! Aspen was a man honey! Ready to take on any and everything that he needed to, to get his woman! Loved the friendships between the ladies and the guys, and how Aspen manned up to claim Legend. Sweet and heartfelt read! Great job! 👍👍👍

  Corny and cliche is what came to mind as I was reading this. I didn't care for the way they spoke. Almost seemed like they were fresh out of high school in the year 2020 rather than mid aged adults. I gave it two stars for the pacing, but the style and verbiage was too immature for me.

  That dang Lennox was a straight mitch🙄😒. It was bad enough he was or there giving the🍆away but he got the nerve to bye going raw dog in some nasty😼and bring that ish home😡. He showed his true colors tho, mitch😒
  I wanted to eff Deshawn up for not only airing all D baby dirty laundry but the disrespectful sugar honey ice tea that came out his mouth😡.
  D baby was really suffering in silence and really thought she was doing good by not including her family in her marital lows. When that f'boy of a husband gave her that ultimatum cause she finally decided to choose her and her son's happiness, I really wanted to fight him.
  If delusional than a motherfudgesicklestix was a person, Torian🙄. It's like as soon as Destinee comes back in town, here she comes with her shenanigans. She really was a piece of work and the way sure did him😡bih.
  I loved Aspen ❤! I loved him more for being a friend to D baby despite the years that spent apart and the fact that he was so open and honest with her about his feelings for her as all as him needing to heal from his part trauma before they could bye together. The way he loved on her son😍. I feel like Aspen and Destinee needed to go through what they went through in order for them to love and appreciate what they had with each other. I mean I really enjoyed their story💕
  I would love a spin-off for Deshawn & Rae and August & Nay💕🤞🏽

  This book was good and held my attention from the first page. I love Aspen and Destinee together they definitely was meant for each other. Torrian and Lennox was something else how you going to mess and get mad when the person moved on. I thought the ending was perfect.

  I often wonder why some women stay with a man who cheats? In this story, that was not the case for this heroine. It was so nice for girlfriend to find her way back to her first love. She still had Aspen’s heart after all those years. I enjoyed this edition.

  Aspen and Destinee takes you for a ride of uncertainty and keeps you wondering until one day they both decide to make it last forever. The title is perfect for the book! Great read! The Hart brothers are heaven sent !

  I love, love! I truly enjoyed this story. Just reminds me of what’s for you, is for you. It’s all about divine timing. Definitely a great read.
