  Serena Meadows has written a 5-star book. This is the story of Bonnie and Pierce. Bonnie has gone back to her hometown for a job interview. She stays at the Inn that Pierce is part owner of. She runs into him when he runs from his friends at their wedding. Bonnie and pierce are shocked to see each other after years apart. They use to be close but something happened to Bonnie and Pierce knows what it is and he saved her but ends up leaving the same night. They end up spending time together and she keeps asking questions that he doesn't answer. She knows he is keeping something from her and she doesn't like it. They are in town walking down the street and he sees a car and he pulls Bonnie down an alley to keep from being seen. After the car moves past them, he tells her he forgot about something. Pierce has an event that he has to go to and he asked Bonnie to go with him. At the event, Pierce is shocked to see people from his past. Dominic and Scarlett are not who he wants to see again. They walk over to Bonnie and Pierce. Dominic is upset with him over Pierce not doing what was requested to do. Dominic tells him that he has to do something, if not then Dominic said something would happen to Bonnie. Pierce is told to come to Dominic's motel room for a meeting at midnight. Bonnie doesn't know what is going on and she lets Pierce know she is not happy. She wants to know what is going on right then but Pierce tells her he will tell her everything when they get back to the motel. She tells him that he is better because it would be his last time. Pierce tells her everything that he did while working with Dominic. Bonnie wants Pierce to get help but he tells her that he doesn't want to get anyone else involved. She tells him that he is a fool, there are people who are there for him and would help him. He tells her that it is something that he has to do on his own. He tells her to stay in her room and he would see her later. Pierce goes to the meeting and finds out what Dominic wants him to do. After the meeting, Pierce goes by the Inn and wants to check on Bonnie. He finds her sitting out on the porch. He gets upset with her. She wants to know what happened in the meeting. After he tells her, she tells him they are going to go get Brian for some help. Brian gets going on a plan but things happen that they need some more help. Bonnie tells them that she knows of someone that can help with that part of the plan. She goes to call her friend Steve, who is a hacker. Pierce doesn't like part of the plan where Bonnie is involved. Bonnie goes with Pierce when he goes to do what Dominic wants him to do. When it is done, they are on the way back home when Pierce gets a call from Dominic and tells him he doesn't like to be crossed and tells him that he has Bonnie's daughter, Susie. Dominic wants his money and has taken Susie to make sure he gets it. What Dominic doesn't know is that he is messing with a dragon.
  Will Bonnie and Pierce get to Susie in time?
  Will Dominic get his money?
  Will things work out for Bonnie and Pierce?
  This was a wonderful book and I would recommend it to anyone.

  This is the second book in the paranormal dragon shifter series Cowboy Dragon's Inn. It can be read as a standalone but I think it's best read in order. Each book is about one of the six owners of a ranch and inn left to them. Dean's will stated that they were being given the ranch but they had to fix up and run the inn. I loved Pierce and Bonnie's story. It pulled me in and kept me turning the pages to the very end. Steamy and entertaining, definitely a great addition to the series. I can't wait to read everyone’s story.
  
  Pierce has been living on the run, never letting anyone get close to him. Pierce and Bonnies lives both changed dramatically when they were younger when Bonnie is attacked one night on her way home from work. Pierce doesn't regret helping Bonnie when she was attacked but he does wonder what would have happened if he would have never run after that fateful night. Bonnie is widowed, with a young child and back in town for closure. She doesn't remember what happened that night or that Pierce saved her. Is it possible for these two to find happiness with each other? Will Pierce finally let Bonnie in or will he shut her out and keep running? Will his past finally catch up with him?

  Bonnie returns to her hometown and finds that her high school crush has also returned to town. She doesn't know why Pierce left town all those years ago without telling her goodbye, but she immediately feels drawn to him. She has come back to town for a job interview and to decide if she wants to return here to live with her daughter. Pierce is an unexpected bonus, but he has secrets that he seems reluctant to part with and she doesn't need any more complications in her life.
  
  Pierce left town after saving Bonnie from a sexual attack. He was sure he had killed the rapist and didn't find out until he came back to town years later that the man was not dead. Bonnie never knew he was following her and witnessed the attack, much less that he saved her. He was happy to find her again but knew he had dangers from his time away that threatened not only his happiness but Bonnie's as well. Then there is the little fact that he and his friends are dragon shifters and Bonnie has no idea. Too many secrets....

  This is the second book in the Cowboy Dragon's Inn series and tells the story of Pierce and Bonnie. This one is just as great as the first. Pierce thought he was killing the man who attacked Bonnie when she was walking home at night years ago, so he dragged the body into the woods. He left town the next morning so as not to be arrested for the man's murder. He only found out he didn't kill the man when he came back after Dean died. Bonnie is in town for a job interview for the new town librarian. She is looking for a small and quiet place to raise her daughter after her husband passed away. Things are going well until Pierce's past hits the town. If he doesn't do what he's told, they threaten to hurt Bonnie. He is sure of one thing, nothing will ever happen to Bonnie again. Will he be able to fix this and keep Bonnie safe? Read it and experience it. Can't wait to read the next one!

  Bonnie, was embarrassed when she ran into her high school crush, the gorgeous Pierce. Not wanting to returns home to Alma after years of being away, but the pull to be gone was too great. If only she knew who save her that night, Bonnie needs to know.
  Pierce is being pledged with dreams and memories of his past, if only he stayed, instead of running away, things would have been so much better for him. But now his past is starting to catch up to him and he must keep everyone he loves safe.

Pierce has a secret that has to do with Bonnie but he isn't sure how to talk to her about it. They start seeing each other again while she's in town and its not long before he tells her. Will she forgive him for leaving in the first place? Can they get their second chance to be together?
  
  This is an amazing story that will hook you in the first chapter on. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

But now that Bonnie has come back to Alma, her hometown, for an interview for the position of library administrator and almost as soon as she arrived the two of them meet again. It's an enjoyable story featuring two nice characters who have great chemistry and generate lots of steam but will they be able to share a future together?

It’s different, I’ve read many shifter stories before so there were part where I knew would happen but the one thing that stood out to me is that possible the whole town knew that Pierce and his friends were dragon shifters but Bonnie never knew, she thought it was a game that the guys played with the mentor, she was shocked

  This was an interesting tale of life's mistakes, condemnation of a way of living by society, and strong friendships. Pierce grew up with a mother who had mental issues, and Bonnie grew up with a drunkard of a mother. They managed to make a go of life despite society's judgement.
