Esoterica 3: Liam's Corruption: A Lovecraftian harem dark fantasy novel (Esoterica Chronicles, #3) Reviews

At my request I received a copy of this audiobook in order to give a fair and unbiased review.

Genre: Harem in magic school where MC is only necromancer.

Power dynamics in harem: Chaos, everyone loves the MC and does what is best for him, but there are many strongwilled girls.
Explicit/adult material: Explicit. Vampire, Ghost, sexy girls.

    Summary:
An unexpected ally comes to the aid of Liam and his ladies as they reconnect and rekindle their family.

    Narrators
Voice diversity: Each character had clearly distinct and memorable voices making it trivial to follow conversation from narration alone.
    Pacing and intonation: Good.
    Sex scenes: Very well done.
Especially the female narrator does an excellent job.
    Overall: 4 / 5 stars.

    The book’s strengths.
    - The women have strong and distinct personalities. Though they are clearly into the MC they never feel like interchangeable hot bodies.
    - Maybe part of the above. But the characters are flawed. Everyone is fucked up, and it works.
    - Humour. Virgil always makes me laugh.
    - Great narration

    The book’s weaknesses.
    - It felt a bit short this time around, I would have loved for it to be a bit longer.

    Overall: 4.5/5 stars

  • Anga Kyla

My least favourite so far. Everyone and everything was annoying to me. The ending tried though.

  • Matthew

    Hardcore power builds

This book was amazing simply for the amount of power each character has achieved. Simply fantastic way to end the book as well.
