Thor
Tobias "Thor" Langley was seventeen when his entire life changed in one night—a car accident he was responsible for that killed one of his friends and paralyzed another. Eighteen years later, he’s the vice president of the Norse Lords MC and estranged from his family, when he receives a call about a friend’s suicide. As Thor prepares to travel home to Washington for the funeral, the club president’s adopted son decides Thor can’t go alone and invites himself along.

Loki
Loki Ward has been part of the motorcycle club since he was born—the Norse Lords MC is in his blood. He’s been loyal to his adoptive father since Odin took him in after his mother’s death, but sleeping with Odin’s vice president is forbidden. Loki can’t stop himself though. Thor is irresistible and Loki wants more than he’s allowed to have. Going on a road trip will give them more time alone and Loki thinks he can convince Thor he wants this as much as Loki does. When their family and the past get involved, their relationship becomes a lot more difficult.

Author note: Thor and Loki make a brief appearance in The Assassin (The Killough Company - book 3). You do not need to read The Assassin to understand this book.

    Thor and Loki !
    Can t wait for more

I love M.D. Gregory's work to bits, obviously, because I write with her, but this book was really well done and I can't wait for everyone else to get to read it.

    Love grenades

I have to say that going anywhere with Thor and Loki is an experience all its own. They could liven up even the most staid of events, in ways you wouldn’t even imagine. I love these two and have wanted their book since I met them in the Killough series. They’re pure emotion, pure chaos, pure fire, and I need more. “‘You’re mine,’ he growled out, biting particularly hard against the side of my neck, in a way that had my knees giving out under me. He held me up, ramming me against the cave wall. ‘You’re mine, Loki. For-f******-ever. You will die and be buried in my grave. Am I clear?’” *Fanning myself* I think I need to take a cold, cold dip in the ocean. And don’t discount Loki and his possessiveness. There are reasons these two are made for each other, just saying. While I love the gritty sides of this MC, I’m glad we got to see the other dimensions to Loki and Thor and how much they mean to one another. The depth of their feelings, the extremes they go to, and the love they have is a true example of ride or die. I can’t wait to take another ride with Norse Lords MC.

    3.5 stars. It was fun.
The breeding kink could have been explored more😉, but overall, a good read. Loved the connection between the MCs.
I really hope Odin gets his book!

This is the first book that I have read by this author and I have to say that I am really glad that I took a chance. This book is well written and the story just flows along smoothly. I wasn't expecting a lot of depth of character as it is a motorcycle club story (yes I know my bias is showing) but the author proved me wrong. This book has action but it is filled with emotions. This is the story of Tobias "Thor" Langley and Loki Ward. Thor is the VP of Norse Lords MC. His young adult years had a lot of drama and guilt. He believes he has it all put behind him until he has to go home for an old friends funeral. You may leave a small town and change but the people there will usually just see you as you were. That is part of Thor's problems. Loki is the adopted son of the president of the Norse Lords MC. He has been in love with Thor since he was a teenager. Now that the two of them are together (even if it is in secret) there is no way that he is letting Thor go back home alone. He knows that he needs support and back up. This is their story. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Loki and Thor. This was a great start to this series.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Nothing is sexier than an unapologetic antihero and this book gives us two!

This isn’t an instalove story as Thor and Loki are an established couple, albeit a secret couple. The only person who knows about their relationship is Loki’s brother Hoor. Loki and author have been together for two years when Thor gets some bad news from home. Destined to support Thor, and get to know more about him, Loki invites himself along to the funeral.

The story tackles issues of survivor’s guilt, family secrets, difficulty dealing with a loved one’s disability, fear, and redemption. M. D. Gregory weaves an intricate story of vulnerability in characters afraid to show weakness. I enjoyed watching the interplay between Loki, Odin, and Hoor. I can’t wait to see how the author explores this in Hoor’s upcoming book.

Although the author explores the conflict between the Norse MC and the rival group, the part of the story with Loki at the end seemed rushed. It was a great addition to the story, as it allowed Thor to express his true feelings about Loki, but it lacked any real resolution.

Overall it was a good book and I would definitely recommend it. I am hoping there is more exploration of this conflict in the next book.

I really struggled with this one. I wanted to like it more than I did, and it came down almost evenly. I liked that it wasn't an overly-sweet or instant relationship between the main characters. However, I felt like it was very flat in some ways (such as undeveloped characters or throwing in a bunch of named background characters for no reason), and very problematic in others (the violence, some of the vocabulary describing the groupies, etc.) I especially did not like the concept of Thor forcing Loki to hide their relationship. The dynamic between them, especially when it came to the maniacal way Loki acted, kept reminding me of deeply disturbing Harley Quinn (and not in a good way.)
These characters are sociopaths and they're not particularly nice people, either. When they visit Thor's hometown, which was an interesting exercise, I felt the plot weakened significantly, but it left me wanting. The whole book kept me waiting for more that never materialized.
The sex was hot- sometimes- when kept short, but when it was pages and chapters long it got boring. Then the author brought up (more than once) how Loki would bleed after sex. That was completely unsexy and so completely wrong. It threw me out of the story completely. This bit knocked down a 3 star rating to 2 stars. Sorry, but that's just not right.

Thor and Loki for the win

I have been waiting for this new MC series from MD for the longest time and it didn’t disappoint at all! Goodness, she knows how to write a juicy anti-hero.

Loki and Thor were everything I wanted: brazen, unapologetic and downright sexy. This books starts with these two already together, but on the DL. I really liked that we didn’t have to have this big will they or won’t they build up. It takes off running in so many sexy ways. This books also set us up for future books by showing the growing conflict with the Souls and some interpersonal conflict between Odin, club Prez, and his son Hoor.

I will say this, I really wished Thor’s breeding kink had been explored further. This would have been a wonderful book even without that, but it nearly felt like Thor still didn’t want to go all in with it. It was like breeding kink-lite. Just an observation, not a complaint.

I am stoked for the rest of this series and can’t wait to start my love/relationship with all the Lords.

This is steamy, entertaining and dramatic. Loki fell in love with Thor when he was just 7. When he turned 18 he began a campaign to get Thor into his bed. Thor did not have any intention of ever getting together with the MC President's adopted son. But when Loki flaunted one too many conquests, he snapped and claimed Loki for himself. 2 years go by and nobody knows that they are a thing, but don't bat an eye when Loki insists on going with Thor when he needs to go back to his hometown. Thor never planned to go back and face his past, but when a friend dies, he can't not go. Neither was expecting the way the people treated Thor, so neither knew how to act. Except for Loki to be is usual crazy self. Facing his past changes Thor's whole outlook on life, and with Loki by his side, Thor can face anything, even gun toting angry people. This is a book that you will find hard to put down, you just have to find out what these 2 wild men are up to next.
I received a complimentary copy of this book from the author. This is my honest and voluntary opinion of it.

I’m reviewing the audio version. I really enjoyed this start of the series. Thor (Tobias) life was changed by a teen auto accident that cause him jail time. This story is eighteen years later and Thor is really no longer the kid Tobias. He has grown to be a responsible, caring vice president of the Norse Lords MC. He has tried his best to ignor Loki who has crushed on him for years. Loki is another story all together. He was adopted by Odin the president of the MC club, after his mom died. Loki’s relationship with Thor I really liked the guy. His relationship with almost everyone else feels like he is more than a brat. He likes to push everyone’s buttons usually in dangerous ways. Yet his attraction to Thor overrides his bad behavior. I liked the author’s description of Thor’s hometown and the secondary characters there. I think the author does a great job describing the situations so I felt like I could see what was happening. I am anxious to see what comes next for this series. I also feel Kaydn Lukakis’s narration also helped me visualize the story.

I was so excited to see there was going to be a Norse Lords series after I listened to the High Audio book!! Which I LOVED by the way! I was very curious about Odin and his club.. and this first book is about his adopted son Loki and Thor!!! I loved that during steamy times though.. Loki called him by his real name Tobias! This one starts out with them already in a hidden relationship because of Loki being Odin's son.. there is a prologue that introduces you to the first time Thor claims Loki as "MINE"!!!! The real story here is about Thor trying to put to rest demons from his past. Poor little blonde Loki just wants to be able to show the world and the club that he belongs to Thor!!! Thor is rough and rugged, but truly does love Loki.. Since they are already a pair.. this book has kinky steamy times throughout!! I received an ARC of this book and I recommend for those who love mystery, action and some dirty steamy times with an underlying Possessive love story!!

We got glimpses of these characters from past books of the author and to have these characters get their own story was a real treat.
Thor is the Vice President of the Norse Lords MC and Loki is the Presidents adopted son.
A relationship between them should not be, but the attraction and chemistry between them is too great to ignore.
When Thor’s past calls, Loki will not let his man face it without him by his side.

This was an engaging read about forgiveness, acceptance, making peace with oneself and learning to move on.
The main characters complimented each other well and the sexy scenes were steamy.
I would have liked the kink to be a bit more developed though as that’s what made the characters unique for me.
We do get to meet a lot of characters in this one and the author does leave us with a bit of a suspense arc, so I’m hoping we get the next book soon.
    A recommended read for sure.

    Thor and Loki's Story . . .

Right from the start, Loki Ward knew what and who he wanted… Thor. Loki flirted with others to tempt Thor into making a move, and he finally got them together. However, Thor insisted they remain secret.

But when Thor gets a phone call from home that one of his friends has died, he needs to return home for the funeral. He has avoided going back for years. His past is very painful and he dreads this trip. Thor loves Loki but still needs to make peace with his past and his guilt. So he is surprised when Loki insists on accompanying him. For Loki, this is a chance to solidify their relationship by spending this time with each other. For Thor, it could free him from the past that holds him back. Or he could lose Loki completely. Can Loki still want him once he discovers what Thor had done? Or could he help Thor take another look at what happened with new eyes and let go of his survivor’s guilt?

  • Dawn

This one is hot, hot, hot. Thor is a take no prisoners kind of guy. He is VP for his MC. Loki is younger and has been taunting Thor for years. Thor finally can't stand it and he and Loki embark on a hot, torrid, secret affair. They have to hide from Loki's adopted father and Pres of the MC. Odin would never approve of the relationship because he doesn't want Thor to break Loki's heart. Thor gets a call that a childhood friend has died and he wants to go home to the funeral. Going home means opening SO many cans of worms. Loki wants to go along. It will give them some alone time and time for Loki to get to know Thor. Thor claims Loki publicly and works through many of his old issues. This story of Thor and Loki's love will scorch your eyeballs. You can see how their relationship progresses and matures. Terrific read!

MD Gregory is a one click author for me and I’d being eagerly waiting for this book to come out.
I love her Kings of Men books and I wasn’t sure about how I would feel about her writing about another club. But after reading this I know this series will be just as good.
Think she misplaced Loki though with a partner with a breeding kink he needs a permanent gag! Oh my goodness he is trouble with a capital T.
The story was quite emotional as Thor has to face his past but Loki is so awesome by his side and is 100% committed, never doubting him for a second.
The author has started the series perfectly - set it up for lots and lots more. I cannot wait to read Hoor’s story but I’m teasing myself as I will have to wait a little longer for his story.
Perfect combination of heat, love, loyalty and action.

    Thor by
M.D. Gregory is the first in the Norse Lords MC series. To say I have a fascination for All things Thor and Loki is an understatement. And in saying that, I was definitely looking forward to listening to this audio book.

This was an amazing story, with the right amount of smut, plot and storyline. I loved how it took the Norse gods and put a modern spin on it as well as taking the stories and making it their own. The author drew me in and kept me engaged. The narrator was also just as amazing. I look forward to the other books in this series.

    Must read 5 stars.

I have just finished the audiobook it was perfect!!!
The narrator Kayden Lukakis brought the story to life, I could not get enough of Loki and Thor.
Both bikers are overprotective of each other, and their love for each other is written beautifully.
Loki, pretty and a little crazy but so much fun attaches himself to Thor.
Guilt has been gnawing at Thor for a long time, an accident from his past haunts him, he goes home and confronts the situation, with Loki of course!
I love the kink between them and listening to Kayden Lukakis talk about “ Breed me, Thor “
I listened to that chapter again!
Kink, extremely sexual, wonderful banter between them, don't forget the violence!
Perfect words from M.C. Gregory added with fantastic narration by Kayden Lukakis...
    His voice is perfection.

While I generally liked this story, I felt it was too weak to be the first volume in a new series. It needed to be much longer and needed a better balance between action and character-development. But, it wasn't all bad. I did like the main character, Loki, who was a fun antihero.

On technical merits, there were a lot of typos and misused prepositions. There were a few laid/lay errors, but not as many as this author has previously made. There continues to be instances of testicles doing things no testicle has ever done or even has the capacity to do, a problem this author usually has in her books.

  • K-Me

This audible is fantastic! The narrator brought out these two bikers personalities spot on! Even though Loki is young and "pretty" these two guys are both badass and possessive of each other! Loki's crazy obsession and uncontrolled need to blow things up is somehow hilarious! His antics and everyone in the club's reactions to them are perfection! This story has it all from sexy, kinky times, to sweet emotional feels, to outright violence! I love how these authors have woven so many different series together into one big world! Keep these coming! I highly recommend them on audible as the stories and the narrators are fresh and original!

    Heartbreaking but Worth the Wait

I’ve been anticipating this book since the main characters were caught in The Assassin. It certainly did not disappoint! The only reason I didn’t give it the full 5 was because it was hard to read at certain points because of Thor’s trauma and having to face it head-on and work through it. This is definitely one of the heavier books in the New Gothenburg world in that regard. However, the writing was amazing as usual and the characters, of course, are perfect for each other and get their own happy ending. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the rest of the Norse Lords and I hope Hoor gets a book because I love him!

  • Kat reads romance

I’m excited for the next books in the series, but as for this one, I was rather disappointed that I didn’t see enough of the connection between the two main characters. Seemed like we were dropped into the middle of the romance rather than see the development of it which would have made everything more dynamic for me. I also never found myself warming up to the two main characters, especially Loki, who came off like a psychopath most of the time. Oh well. On the bright side there were so many interesting side characters introduced throughout that I’d love to get their own books.

  • Aimee

Absolutely loved this story!! It was so good to finally get some more about the Norse Lords MC and Loki & Thor are the perfect ones to start with. We all know MCs are violent and deadly so it was refreshing in a way to read about Thor’s painful past and what he considered a weakness. It was good for Thor to see that he wasn’t weak at all but that it just helped him become who he was meant to be. I absolutely LOVED Loki’s vibrance and crazy chaotic mess. He brought laughter to a sad time and light to Thor’s dark moments. He and his grenades…lol!! The ending was just PERFECT!! Amazing story!!

  • Rowena

A great start to a new MC series!

What a great start to a new MC romance read. Loki knew that Thor was it for him and when he finally got a chance to prove that they belong together it was hot! Loki’s character was feisty and fun perfect for the VP of the Norse Lords MC. Their story was fast pace with lots of steamy loving and a past that is brought to life when Thor finds himself back to a place that brings back bad memories. I enjoyed how their relationship grew as Thor showed his love for Loki. A swoon worthy MC romance read!
