Paul Henderson has never been happier in his life, his girlfriend Jenna is pregnant and Paul has alway wanted children and his job is going well at a prestigious school where he teaches and is also in administration temporarily, hopeful that he will get promoted permanently. So, Paul is just over the moon with how everything has finally balanced out in his life until the day he receives a text message from his gorgeous ex-girlfriend, Nicole saying she's back in town and looking forward to seeing everyone again. Needless to say Paul is dumbfounded, shocked beyond belief. "This is impossible" he says to himself. Nicole can't be back in town or anywhere else for that matter because Paul should know. He Killed Her!
What an entertaining and enjoyable mystery book this was for me. There were so many good little red herrings scattered throughout the story and a unusual surprise at the ending. A wonderful stalking mystery by a supposed dead person, while other readers had to wonder if Nicole was really dead or could she still be alive While I did enjoy the book I found too many repetitions of words and thoughts by Paul and Jenna that could have been left out especially the word "Glacial". Glacial in itself was a good word but it was used way too many times. Other than those minor grievances the story itself was very good with interesting and fun characters especially Paul, he was very complex and just when I thought I had him figured out the book took another good turn and I really did enjoy this story.
I want to thank the publisher "Boldwood Books" and Netgalley for opportunity to read this digital copy and any thoughts or opinions expressed are unbiased and mine alone!
I do recommend this book to any reader who enjoys domestic thrillers and have given a rating of 3 1/2 MYSTERIOUS 🌟🌟🌟 🌠STARS!! -

2.5 stars. Ughhh I hate writing reviews for anything under 3 stars because I honestly do believe that just because I didn’t care for a book, doesn’t mean that someone else won’t end up loving it. I don’t like to think that my review might be the reason someone would pass on a book. Anyways, let me start with what I did like. The synopsis of this book grabs you right away. It really had high potential to be a 4-5 star read for me. The first few chapters were really good but then I don’t know what happened, it just slowed down drastically! I felt like for 50-60% of the book it was going no where. And then the end….wasn’t a fan of that either. It was just sloppy and all thrown together. I felt like some of it was predictable but yet some of it was just so over the top that I was rolling my eyes and couldn’t wait for it to be over. Sadly, this one just wasn’t a hit for me.
Thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books for an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review. -

A twisty-turny roller-coaster ride of emotions and, dare I say, confusion?
You're going along, thinking you're on track and, BAM! Nope. Over here you go. . Is that a bad thing? Nope.
How a life or two can be thrown into chaos and we just follow along trying to stay on track or fall into the abyss.
A great read that takes you to the very end.
I've been a fan of Sally from the start and was anxious(?) to see how a collaboration went. I was not disappointed!
I received an ARC of this book from the authors and I am giving you my honest review. -
Unreliable narrators can make or break a book. There’s no in-between, it’s either a huge success or a huge failure.

If there’s one thing that I like doing, it’s discovering new authors. Amanda Rigby is certainly a new author for me although perhaps I should say that ‘Amanda Rigby’ is a new writing partnership. Amanda Rigby is the nom de plume of Sally Rigby and Amanda Ashby and what a partnership it promises to become! I read the synopsis of ‘Remember Me?’ and it certainly appealed to me. So without further ado, I grabbed a cup of tea, grabbed my Kindle and settled down for what proved to be one hell of a read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Remember Me?’ but more about that in a bit.
I started reading ‘Remember Me?’ and I just couldn’t stop reading. I mean my Kindle wasn’t exactly glued to my hand but it might as well have been because it travelled everywhere with me. I had my own suspicions as to how each character was going to turn out and so I had to keep reading to see if I was on the right lines or if I was completely wrong. I wasn’t quite sure who or what to believe as each of the characters seemed to be acting rather suspiciously. The pages turned over increasingly quickly as my desperation to find out what happened and who was telling the truth steadily grew and grew. All too quickly I reached the end of ‘Remember Me?’ and I had to say goodbye to the characters. I found ‘Remember Me?’ to be a gripping and tense read, which certainly kept me on my toes and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.
‘Remember Me?’ is superbly written. This new writing partnership has a writing style that is easy to get used to and easy to get along with. The story hits the ground running and maintained a fairly fast pace throughout. This was one of those stories that had more twists and turns to it than you would find on a ‘Snakes & Ladders’ board. I loved the way in which the authors make the reader feel as though they are part of the story themselves and at the heart of the action so to speak. ‘Remember Me?’ is a tightly plotted, well written thrilling story.
In short, I thoroughly enjoyed reading ‘Remember Me?’ and I would definitely recommend this book to other readers. I will certainly be reading more from this writing partnership in the future. The score on the Ginger Book Geek board is a very well deserved 5* out of 5*. -
I've not read Amanda's books before but always read anything Sally writes so really wanted to see how this collaboration turned out. I wasn't disappointed. Sally kindly sent over a preview copy and I've just had an entertaining couple of days reading it.
The premise so appealed to me as well.....an ex-fiancee turning up when our "hero" had thought he'd finished her off a couple of years ago !! I couldn't wait to get hold of my copy.
There are some really interesting characters featured and I liked Jenna a great deal and was really pulling for her not to be messed about or hurt by Paul, especially as her boss was a cow !! Lots of little phrasing throughout let us know that there were secrets that were going to be (hopefully) exposed as we progressed. I got it wrong as usual as to how things were going to turn out. Most of the guesses I made were way off !
I loved the line "It's not rude if it's the truth"......I totally agree.
I only marked it down 1* because of the very ending.....but that's a personal thing, as I wanted something a little different to have happened there. I'm saying no more. I never do spoilers. And this one isn't part of a series and does have a proper finale. I do hope they will be writing another novel together. They're friends so I would think they will. I will look up Amanda's books, too, now we've been formally "introduced", so to speak.
I had wondered who Christina Phillips was in their dedication and feared they'd lost a friend but then she was mentioned in the Acknowledgements and I'm happy to say is alive and kicking......
I really like this cover as well. Any errors I spotted I will forward on directly to the author. -
Like so many thrillers this book started off with a gripping premise. Paul, an unreliable narrator, now living with his girlfriend Jenna receives a message from his ex-fiancé, Nicole. He is gobsmacked because he knows she is dead and he knows this because he killed her.
From here the story builds with bits and pieces meant as red herrings but because I cared for neither Paul nor Jenna I wasn't invested in the outcome. My lack of concern for both characters is based on each being both ridiculous and stupid. What type of person finds a box of clothes belonging to her boyfriend's former fiancé and wears the clothes? Even less credible is Jenna finding Nicole's diary and instead of reading it cover to cover repeatedly climbs up to the attic despite being pregnant and photographs a few pages at a time to read on her phone.
Paul levitates between telling everyone he is not drinking while swiging from a vodka bottle even while at school (he's a teacher) and popping pills. In line for a promotion as deputy head, his behaviour is bizarre with him breaking into Nicole's former therapist's office to read Nicole's file. This becomes farcical when he chooses to become a patient of the same therapist. Her technique is more in keeping with a herbalist than a medical professional. 3 stars. -
Rating: 1.7/5
Amanda Rigby is the nom de plume of authors and long-time friends, Amanda Ashby and Sally Rigby, who decided to team up and write a psychological thriller. Sometimes writing partnerships can work very well and bring together the strengths of both writers to deliver an outcome that is greater than the total of its constituent parts - Nicci French and Ellery Lloyd, for example. On other occasions it works less well and just results in a bit of a mess. Unfortunately, "Remember Me?" belongs in the latter category.
There are elements of the story that have genuine merit and potential - hence the reason why I have resisted the temptation to give this a 1-star rating and opted for a low-end 2-star rating instead - but "Remember Me?" really needs stripping back and reconstructing in a more considered fashion that hangs together better. As it stands, this is little more than a hotchpotch of implausible plot ideas.
There are so many writers out there producing books in this genre that might not win any awards, but are, nonetheless, perfectly enjoyable and entertaining pieces of work. That being the case, I suggest that your time would be better spent passing over this one and seeking out an alternative piece of reading material. -
Couldn’t get past the third chapter. The protagonist is written as if he’s God’s gift to all women. The descriptions of each new female character were tiring and focused mainly on how long their legs were and how beautiful they were in comparison to one another, with their personalities a definite second. I found it unnecessary and dull. The author clearly has strong attitudes to abortion and women that I don’t agree with and I cannot bring myself to read any further. The actual story sounded really intriguing but unfortunately not enough for me to continue reading.

She’s baaaaack!!! I had a lot of fun reading this fast paced story. The plot is seamlessly written and tightly plotted filled with secrets, lies and so many twists. Paul Henderson is living his best life. His girlfriend, Jenna, is pregnant and he loves his job. While on break one day, he’s scrolling social media and sees an update from his ex girlfriend, Nicole, who is back in town and wants to catch up with everyone. But how is that possible? Paul is fairly certain he killed her 2 years ago. Or did he? Thank you Netgalley, Boldwood Books and the author for this eARC in exchange for my honest review. Available now

Remember Me is a twisted story that has it all: secrets, lies, red herrings and some really nasty characters which I just love.
There is also the naive character just like Jenna who at the beginning believes everything her boyfriend says about his ex fiancee.
Even though the hints are there, the ending still manages to take me by surprise.
Great collaboration between the two authors and it is no wonder they won the thriller contest for Boldwood books.
I just loved the story.
Thanks to NetGalley and Boldwood books for an intriguing page turning story. -
Paul is working at a private school and his girlfriend is expecting their first baby. When he sees on social media that his ex-fiance is back in town he is aghast. She left him standing just before their wedding for a new job in Australia, a long way from Leicestershire, however he knows that she not only didn't take the job but cant be back in the country as it was he who buried her. When his girlfriend Jenna loses a necklace and receives notes, there could only be one person responsible. But how?
OMG!! Where do I start? Once in I felt spun around, thrown around rather fast and catapulted all at the same time! What a rollercoaster! A true psychological thriller where there is an air of mystery from the beginning and that chill and tension of something not quite right- just how I like a book to grab me and draw me in. Several twists and turns so you really don’t know who, why or how- brilliant. I understand that this is a collaboration- I would love to have been a fly on the wall! Wow! A very clever, incredibly well thought out plot and one that made me race through the pages. Stunning.

This is a excellent physiological thriller written by Amanda Rigby (the name of co authors Amanda Ashby and Sally Rigby)
Paul Henderson is having a sweet upswing in life with a chance at making Deputy Head at a prestigious boarding school. His girlfriend Jenna is pregnant with his child and life is going great. That is until he gets a message on social media from his ex fiancé Nicole who is coming back to town after a long absence in Australia. The problem is Paul killed and buried her years ago.
What follows is a well written, perfectly paced thriller that is mostly told in alternating POVs from both Paul and Jenna. How is Nicole doing this? What really happened? The book really brings you in and kept me turning the page to find out.
It’s mostly a clean book with a small number of supporting characters ands honestly the ending seemed too tidy but the superior execution and pacing keeps me at five stars. In a sea of average/mediocre thrillers this one is recommended

Remember Me is a new psychological thriller. Paul leads a normal life, working as a deputy headteacher. He's living a normal life with his girlfriend Jenna and expecting their first child until Paul gets a message on social media from his ex fiance Nicole. The only problem is that Paul killed and buried her.
I was very excited to read this book, however, I am going to be that person who did not like the book and do not understand the high ratings. This book was just too predictable for me and a plot line I already saw coming.
Rating: 2.5/5 -
So many authors, so many books...and yet so little time to discover them all! And yet here I am delving into another unknown author to me for a psychological thriller with a completely unreliable narrator. To be honest, unreliable narrators can either make or break a book...and while I did feel REMEMBER ME? lacked a little something (I'm not sure what), for me, it was still an engaging read from start to finish that I completed in almost one sitting.
Meet Paul Henderson. He's currently deputy head at a prestigious school where he teaches, his girlfriend Jenna is pregnant with their first child and he has never been happier. He is looking forward to a promotion that will see him as permanent deputy head and the prospect of fatherhood...and yet something is holding him back. You see, Paul is hiding a deep dark secret...something so big it could destroy everything.
And then one day his world comes crashing down when he sees a social media message from his ex-fiance Nicole claiming she is back from Australia after a two-year long absence. There's only one problem...Paul killed and buried Nicole two years ago.
And so Paul's carefully constructed life and new-found happiness is threatened by whoever is playing this game with him. It can't be Nicole, surely? He vividly remembers the fight they had; the one that saw her end up dead; and then driving to the forest and burying her in a grave. He even went back to the grave-site to see if she was still there...but all he found was the crucifix she wore. Could this be another one of Nicole's nasty little jokes? She was, after all, a master manipulator.
And just like that, Paul's works is turned upside down.
He then stumbles along popping amphetamines and diazepam to get him through the day, with the added help of a bottle of gin his predecessor left in the bottom drawer of his office desk. He desperately searches his memory for clues as to what really happened two years ago...but all he comes up against are various versions of his own nightmare which tell him nothing except that he has something to fear.
One major mistake Paul makes is to not share this valuable information with Jenna. She is, after all, his girlfriend and carrying his child. They should have no secrets. When on the day that denotes the end of their first trimester, he buys her a gift to mark the occasion, and upon arriving home presents her with the little box. Jenna is speechless and a little excited, thinking that at last he is going to propose...and then fights to hide her disappointment when she opens it to find a delicate necklace with a daisy (her favourite flower) on. Paul sees her disappointment and realises she thought it was an engagement ring...but he cannot marry her. Not with the secret that he carries or the burden that he bears.
Jenna knows the reason why he won't propose. Nicole. A shadow from his past that continually lurks in the background. She hurt him terribly. Left him just days before their wedding and emigrated to Australia. And then Jenna starts receiving messages from Nicole...some threatening and some disturbing. Then her necklace disappears and reappears with a disturbing note. She confronts Paul about them and he is forced to reveal the fact that Nicole is back. But what she wants, he doesn't know.
What then ensues is a cat and mouse chase between fantasy and reality, truth and fiction, real and imagined. Threats are delivered, ultimatums given until things get out of hand and begin to threaten lives; the lives of those who Paul truly cares about.
And as the race is on to find Nicole before she can deliver her final blow, they receive some news that changes everything. But before they can relax into their false sense of security, another blow is dealt in the form of a twist they don't see coming...although I did from waaaaaay back...and suddenly lives are on the line once again.
It's really difficult to review REMEMBER ME? without giving too much away because it really is a rollercoaster ride of emotions as we witness Paul's internal fight with what he perceives and what he is unsure of. He is a terribly unreliable narrator in the sense we don't even know what is real or imagined. But it makes for an absorbing read that really pulls you in. The fast pace keeps you turning the pages as each new twist is revealed and yet you are left questioning the reliability as well as the truth.
What really happened to Nicole two years ago? Did she really walk out? Or did Paul kill her as he imagines he did? He remembers the grave; and he remembers burying her. But did he kill her? But even if he buried her, shouldn't she still be there? So why isn't she? Or did he just imagine the entire thing, confusing what happened with Nicole to what happened to his parents when he was a child?
REMEMBER ME? is a tightly-plotted, carefully constructed tale that is as thrilling as it is addictive. You want to find out what really happened. You want those answers and you keep delving further into the mystery that is Nicole and the mystery of Paul's past.
I thoroughly enjoyed REMEMBER ME? and, while I did find something was lacking (as mentioned before), it didn't ruin my enjoyment of the tale that I found completely engaging, thrilling and addictive.

This one was a wild ride and I enjoyed it. It centers on Paul, who has everything going for him with a promotion and a new baby on the way when he receives a message from his former fiancée Nicole, who he thought was dead. Nicole continues to terrorize Paul and his girlfriend as the book continues, leaving him to try to untangle what is really going on.
The pacing of the book is fast and the author gives you a multitude of characters from which to choose when identifying the villain. I did figure out what was going on before the characters did, but enjoyed the process of eliminating potential "bad guys" the whole way through. My only small nits were that I had to suspend my disbelief a bit when all was said and done, as the turn of events and the character's motivation didn't seem all that realistic; and sometimes I was frustrated with decisions the characters made and felt they could have cleared up some issues by reacting differently when first confronted.
Overall, enjoyable read that I'd recommend to those who like mysteries and psychological thrillers. I'll gladly round my 3.5 stars up to 4. Thanks to Netgalley for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. -
A real mind-twisting thriller – and I loved every single sentence!
Paul Henderson has reached a happy point in his life; his career is progressing well, he has a wonderful relationship with girlfriend Jenna who is pregnant with their baby. Then, out of the blue, there is a blast from the past which seems impossible – and yet it’s happening. His ex appears to be back on the scene – and yet, Paul knows she can’t be. As with all secrets and lies, it begins to eat away at him affecting his everyday life. Can Paul and Jenna pull together before this pulls them apart?
I loved the style of writing in this one. I was drawn to the characters from the very beginning and must admit I was surprised to discover that it was written by two authors in collaboration. I have read similarly written novels previously and they don’t always flow as well as this one. The story is quite compelling – I was really focussed on what was happening and, giving the matter some consideration when I wasn’t actually reading (always the sign of a good book, when you continue thinking about it after putting it aside), I employed the Sherlock Holmes’ method of deduction ‘when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth?’. I was convinced I had worked it out and I had – but with no idea why! Luckily, the authors had the good sense to include a full explanation. Engrossing and enigmatic, this one definitely has my recommendation and 4.5*. -
Paul and Jenna are so excited to have a baby. When they start getting communication from Paul’s ex- fiancée, their lives are turned upside down. Paul is convinced it not really her because he killed her. Did he really kill her and if so, who is tormenting them?
I was very intrigued by this book. It is a great psychological thriller with many twists and turns. I’ll admit I didn’t not pick the villain until it was revealed. The characters are very different. Jenna is a lovely woman but she has no idea what world she is living in. Paul had a terrible past that drastically affects his current life and makes him question his own memory.
I highly recommend this book to anyone who looks a good psychological thriller. -
Paul is working at a school which has recently had a lot of bad press. He is working hard as acting deputy head to turn the school around. As well as having a good job Paul and his girlfriend Jenna are also happy and are expecting their first child together.
Things couldn’t be going better for Paul until he realises his wife Nicole is back however that can’t be possible, she’s dead and although Pauls memory is vague he seems to remember that he was the one to kill her so how can this be possible.
With Nicole’s return Pauls life seems to be going from bad to worse him and Jenna are both receiving threats from Nicole which they are both hiding from one another which seems to be pulling the couple apart, and Pauls been told he has to reapply for the job he is currently doing. As time moves on Paul and Jenna realise that Nicole doesn’t want them to be together and that they are going to have to face things together in order to stop Nicole having everything her own way. Paul is scared to go to the police afraid that the truth of his past may come up however with Jenna and his unborn baby in potential danger in the end Paul is left with no choice but to.
There’s a nice twist at the end of the book I did have a vague idea it was coming but I still enjoyed it just as Paul and Jenna think all their problems have come to an end something else is thrown up which throws them completely off course. At times I found this book a little slow and predictable but I did still really enjoy it and will be on the look out for more books by Amanda Rigby.

I received a copy of this book via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.
This is the story of Paul acting deputy head teacher in a private school. His girlfriend Jenna is pregnant with his baby and his life is going well until the day his ex girlfriend Nicole pops up on social media. Paul is shocked because he killed her in an argument. He starts to wonder if he doesn’t remember the events of that night correctly because of a condition he has suffered from since being a child in care. Then Nicole starts targeting Jenna. Soon both Paul and Nicole’s lives are in danger,
I enjoyed this story. It was very fast moving even reflecting on the book not too much happened. I felt very invested in both Paul and Jenna’s characters. I loved how the traumatic past of characters had a direct effect on their current lives. There were lots of twists and turns throughout the story and plenty of suspects and red herrings. I will definitely be looking out for more books by these collaborated authors. -
Intense! Exciting! This book will keep you on your toes with lots of suspense and red herrings. I didn’t want to put the book down and read it, flipping pages as fast as I could. Can your past come back to haunt you? Can you block the horrors of your childhood? What if what you remember isn’t true?
The author has created some wonderful characters, that are likeable and believable. I couldn’t help but like Jenna and Paul, even with his patchy memory. When they both are stalked by his ex-girlfriend things start to change and they both start to question their relationship. The author has written a story that twists and turns, leaving you confused and wondering just what is real and true.
If you love mysteries and intrigue then this is a must read for you. A huge thank you to Boldwood Books and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this amazing book. -
The synopsis of this book drew me in right away. There is a happily pregnant couple living their best life when the man’s ex-fiancé suddenly shows up to stir the pot - the ex-fiancé he thought he had killed a few years ago. Who wouldn’t be interested in that? There were a few twists that you may not see coming, and there were multiple characters I suspected throughout the book - a plot mechanism I always enjoy while reading. If you read enough thrillers, you may possibly guess the ending about halfway through the book, but there was still some ambiguity which is what made it interesting. There are a few well-crafted twists that leave the reader surprised and wanting to continue reading. I do feel that in the first half of the book, there were chapters the book could have gone without because not much seemed to happen in those particular chapters. However, the second half was more fast-paced and revealing details emerged which kept the reader hooked. Overall, this was an enjoyable read and I look forward to reading more by this particular author(s). I believe the book was a collaborative venture by two different authors.
-
Oooh what an incredibly twisty plot this is. I mean first off you read the blurb and have already established before you even start reading that this guy Paul sounds like he’s a murderer. But then you think, no, it won’t be that simple - maybe he killed someone accidentally……”with his own bare hands”? That doesn’t really sound accidental.
So you begin the book, already intrigued. And Paul does seem like a really nice person. A school teacher who seems to quite enjoy his job. He has a perfectly pleasant girlfriend Jenna and together they’re expecting a baby which they’re both delighted about. Perhaps Paul seems a little over protective of Jenna, and especially of her pregnancy. Paul really wants this baby and he’s going to make sure they do everything by the book. Perhaps Jenna feels a little insecure as Paul seems reluctant to commit to actual marriage, he’s quite happy to jog along as they are for now.
It’s difficult to say much more about the plot as you really do need to read this yourself but suffice to say Paul didn’t have the best start in life growing up. He lives with guilt, he tends to have rather a low opinion of himself and as the book moves on we realise that Paul’s mental health is suffering. So that is all I’m going to say.
As the reader you never quite know which way the story is going to go. Paul is a very complex character who throws all sorts of spanners in the works with his memory full of holes. Then there’s Nicole, a constant thorn in the side of Paul. A very tense, very twisty story. I did wonder about one of the characters, and was right to wonder but would never have guessed the outcome which came as a complete surprise.
A very gripping, very tense read which I thoroughly enjoyed and a story which definitely kept me on my toes - brilliant! -
This was definitely a psychological thriller. It took me a while to warm up to the characters, but there was so much mystery and intrigue, I ended up really liking it. Paul has had a traumatic childhood. He has memory problems because he blocks out anything that stresses him. He's currently working at a prestigious boarding school and his girlfriend is pregnant. Then, his previous girlfriend comes back and is trying to wreak havoc in his life. Paul also has a secret that he can't tell anyone because he could go to jail... The twists and turns come fast, and keep you guessing but they make the book so much more interesting. I enjoyed this one.
