    Trigger Alerts: Death, violence, murder

Oh My God!!! I am still keeping myself stable from the scary tales discussed in the book by Sourabh Mukherjee. I say scary as all the murders are based on real-life situations. Like most people, I also never thought that women were capable of such gruesome actions of violence. Plus, when I explored on google for one of those cases, placing a profile on the accounts had me in goosebumps which denies going away.

This crime thriller is clearly not for the faint-hearted. The author's portrayal of the accounts is very spectacular. The prologue sets the background as to how all the reports were developed & sketched. The scandals & mysteries have you stuck to the book. The study that the writer has made gets displayed so thoroughly in the references part.

The cover is quite different & really apt for the overall content. The blurb shares the appropriate amount of data which thereby stimulates one's curiosity. I had never read any non-fiction titles that dealt with crimes by women as the mastermind. If you are a crime thriller fan, do read this one.

Generally women are considered soft and fragile and no one even in their worst nightmares can relate as gruesome activity as murder with them. We have seen them reaching the zenith even in the most difficult of professions which are generally not deemed fit for them but this book totally shows a different horrifying side to them : the criminal intent.

Being a regular viewer and huge fan of Crime Patrol this book felt like one with all police investigation and heinous crimes at the forefront of it. The only difference is here the culprits are all females. Also all the tales are based on true story which further engages the readers .

The book is very well researched. Infact the author has mentioned all the sources of information which further increases the relatibility factor. The only downside was I was so glued to the stories that I wanted them to be more elaborate and detailed . As the book is a collection of seven different stories and not like a novel based around a single tale , once you find yourself totally lost in one ,it is finished. The cover is impressive and narration is decent too.

Overall a different kind of book.

How often you come across a nonfiction documentary book on some gruelling murder cases? Not often I guess unless it's your favourite genre. 'Death Served Cold' is a well researched collection of seven such gruesome murders committed by women over the last three decades.

Defying all stereotypes these ordinary women have committed some heinous crime for love, lust, greed and money. This is a documentation of those true, blood curdling accounts from author's perspective.

One thing for sure this book is definitely something different. A dark collection of some dangerous crimes. But the stories are really dark and the scenes are really gruesome. Some facts are so disturbing it took some time for me to digest everything. The stories are not something new, some are even two decades old but they can still give someone chill through the spine. Each story is equally violent and I was pretty shocked even though these are the crimes I grew up listening.

This book can negatively impact some readers because of the fact that these are true stories and I would suggest readers who does not like grotesque scenes and violence to avoid it. I enjoyed some stories because of the planning and genius solving of the case by police but it would have been a better experience if the stories were written from different perspectives. Pretty much it's a mixed experience for me.

" Death served Cold " is a collection of 7 true stories of women being murderers. The theme of the story is shocking. The writer wrote these true stories in a little fictional way so that they can reach the readers and keep their interest intact.

I Loved the book very much. The author took a lot of effort in writing this book. Stories aren't just about murders the author has also well written all the circumstances that caused these murders to be executed and incited the murderers to be murdered.

The author knows very well how to write a perfect page-turner where a reader is not getting bored with these stories, or thrilled with too many turns.

The language used in the book is simple and easy to understand. The cover stands out very much. It is quite tricky to actually touch the heart of the readers and the author surely did a good attempt at it. You just enjoy reading it out of curiosity and juiciness. I would let people buy their copy and judge. Grab this book if the blurb excites you.

I have always been a sucker for a good mystery novel. But thatโ€™s not what made me pick this book up. My intrigue was due to the fact that this is based on true incidents and the perpetrator are all females.

I am sure that I am not the only one here, but rather there are many more like me out there who are morbidly obsessed with the concept of the female murderers. Maybe it is because we have seen that it has always been stereotyped that violent crimes are much more likely to be committed by men.

Or another reason for this infatuation might be because of quantity. Theย relative scarcity ofย the female murderersย โ€”both in real life as well as in literature, interests us on a base level.

So, reading something out of the box is always a breath of fresh air, same which happens in the case of โ€˜Death Served Coldโ€™ by Sourabh Mukherjee.

The novel has seven different stories about distinct women, who are not only extremely sharp minded but their stories are also very well researched by the author, which empanels the readers to take a look into their intellect and see what makes them tick.

All the women in this book did not only represent merely a subversion of expected gender roles, but it was quite evident to see a pretty significant reversal. What I also liked was that their existence was a vicious and intense transgression against our ingrained social notions of femininity.

This book serves as a great treat for its readers, particularly the female readers in commissioning and grasping the very delicious sense of vigour seizedโ€”power, specifically, of the body, of which they are so frequently deprived.

This book was also a good wake up call and rebuff to those who still think that women are something to look pretty and not someone who can actually have a mind of their own. Hence, I am going to give this book FIVE COLD STARS โญโญโญโญโญ

    Death served cold
    Sourabh Mukherjee

Death served cold is a book based on true incidents which tell us about some of the dangerous women murderers. There is an usual practice of thinking that a man might be behind all the horrible crimes and murders. But that is completely wrong, there are many bone chilling crimes attempted by women and even children.

This book consist of such seven stories, the only common link between all the stories is that all are committed by women. The book is an outcome of well researched work of the author. Some of the stories are really disturbing as well as intriguing.

I loved all the chapter titles and the narration was also spot on. There is a story of a teenage girl poisoning the entire family for her love. Seriously?? Yeah, murdering for selfish emotions, love, lust, greed, money and so on. I enjoy reading crime thrillers and this book can't be any better.

I recommend this book to all crime and thriller lovers.

Women with sadism, aggression aren't that common.. right ? Criminality and violence can only be synonyms with masculinity? The idea that a woman can kill, not just with a smile, but also with a knife, is beyond your imagination?

What if I oppose your popular stereotypes ? What if I divulge some gruesome murder in our country committed by the female psyche that can caused chill in your spine.

    Book : Death Served Cold

    Author : Sourabh Mukherjee

Anthology of 7 different selected authentic retelling Mukherjee proficiently explores the crime history of Indian women who had committed heinous homicides over the years. And here's the catch, these women are not extraordinary; just like some nice lady who lives next door. But the wrongs they pull off implausible to take in. This is exactly what I have a soft spot for. The unique concept.

" The fact, however, is that gender has nothing to do with the propensity of a human being to commit a crime. " and women can be monstrous as well, is something new and out of the box.

"Death Served Cold" by Sourabh Mukherjee has been a 'whodunnit' read for me. And not to mention I have a whale of a time. The book is very well argued with its facts and figures. The reference of the stories is also mentioned in the end so the reader can easily go through the depth if they may. Which I did and genuinely appreciate for its originality and bona-fidelity.

Having said that, there also have been some put downs that piqued me at the same time. Let's discuss the narration, the portrayal in the first story and fifth story felt quite stiff, rigid and monotonous. Adding up to that, the fast track of the book ruined the emotional flow. The book felt dry. Apparently the crime- thriller opus fell short of expectations as the author questionably revealed the mysterious part, as soon as the story started, making the recitation collapse, which is really disappointing.

Regardless of everything, I must admit how fascinating the stories are. Each is different from the other, beguile, occupying and absorbing. The stem-winding collection of events will rouse you up and there's no benefit of doubt.

    My Ratings: 3.5/5

    Review

The story the book has is fully analyzed and is based on true incidents of crime done and planned by most destructive women's.

In our daily lives, we only see women in respectable places but in this book, you will come across some lethal women's who can end lives without blinking eyes and kill ruthlessly with lots of planning that we never expect from women but you will see it getting true in this book.

The story is thrill-packed with crimes that we couldn't think of doing and ruthless killing.

Every protagonist of the story had made a powerful plan and they also executed it but there is saying that one day the truth will be out whatever you do to conceal them, uncovering the truth behind the murder the police did a marvellous job I am impressed by there investigation how they found the simple fact and solved the case.

Death Served Cold by Sourabh Mukherjee is based on true incidents

How a person's greediness can lead to murder.

The reasons of homicide in all of the stories is one of a kind, however all these are done by a woman which is common point among all stories who's answerable for the homicide. She is one and only person who plans and executes. These stories discover the different aspect of a woman and exhibits few such components like aggression, anger and ruthlessness which can be hardly ever related to the woman . The book throws mild on a totally one of a kind aspect of a woman , a woman who's taken into consideration because the epitome of affection and care can turn out to be heartless and cruel additionally whilst she is overshadowed through greed or lust. The creator has given a totally crisp and sensible description of all of the murders. Legit studies is executed and the facts furnished through the writer compels you to suppose that crime isn't some thing that you are born with . Different instances are accountable to make someone criminal. Honestly talking I were given a chunk disturbed at the same time as studying this ee-e book. The horrendous description of the incidences gave me sleepless nights. now no longer omit this one!

An amazing and well researched book. This book let us know about the fact that a woman cannot only kill by her smile but can also kill by knife. The plot is absolutely unique and interesting. It is a collection of 7 real stories based on woman murderers. This book tell us about the crimes which are even hard to imagine for a human being. The author has portrayed each and every detail so neatly which actually made the book more interesting. Book is written in a very simple language which is an another beautiful point. Woman's nature can change from kind and loveable to a murderer for several circumstances. It has been proved that the concept of going for looks is absolutely a wrong thing. But i wished the suspense would have lasted a bit longer.
Cover of the book is beautifully designed and appropriate as well.
I was always fond of reading mystery novel, but that was not the only reason for picking up this book. This is based on real life stories, that is what made me think to pick up this. Although a very good read as this was a unique plot.

    A highly recommended book.

PLOT: To think that smile is not the only weapon a woman can use is still a foreign idea. Death Served Cold is a collection of seven, well researched incidents where crime was committed by women of different ages dues to different motives.

REVIEW: โ— A book with a unique concept which made it is page turner of me. All the seven stories are very gripping and will keep the readers on their edges with plenty of questions.
โ— The narrative is another plus point in the book. The deep research is clearly visible in the authors impeccable narration. I didn't like the cover much as I found it a little dull but, the title is absolutely on point.
โ— The cherry on top of the cake would be the part where not only the crime but, the motive/ reason was mentioned too. Even the part where all the references are mentioned really hyped up my curiosity.

Overall, it was a great read which was very different from what I usually read and proven to be very engaging.

At a sight of a man smoking at the chai ki tapri no one bats an eyelash. But, a woman puffing away a cigarette while sipping from the paper cup, especially in small town India, makes many heads turn.
A man and a woman can be different from each other in many things, but one wonders, why it should be based on the smoking habit? Smoking is equally enjoyable or hazardous for both genders, isn't it? But, stillโ€ฆ. It is just thatโ€ฆwomen smoking on road has not been an acceptable norm in Indian societyโ€ฆ.not yet.
We live in a society of broad stereotypesโ€ฆ. Unwritten normsโ€ฆ.so whenever we see an exception to an accepted norm, we flinch. One of many such norms is - women don't commit heinous crimes. As if, that prerogative belongs only to men! Women are nurturers, not murderers, you see. Of course, there should be some psychological explanations for it. Statistically, majority of heinous crimes are committed by men. Hence, when we hear a story of a woman committing those, it becomes a sensation. Like the one where a woman has killed her 4 year old son, apparently not to allow her estranged husband to meet him, has shocked the nation last week.
Woh Stree Hai, Kuchh Bhi Kar Sakti Hai.

Sourabh Mukherjee picks up some sensational gruesome crimes of recent years where women were the prime perpetrators and presents those in dramatized fashion, with some erotica and added suspenseful backdrops. Most of the stories are quite well known - Jolly Joseph serial killing, Maria Susairaj's crime of passion, Poonia massacre, Neha Burma robbery and murder case, etc. Reading (actually listening on Audible) those accounts are still chilling.
However, Mukherjee fails to create that eerie atmosphere that a good true-crime podcast or documentary does. Probably, limitation of the medium.

Whenever we read a news of any crime like a murder, there is a deep seated belief in us that the perpetrator must be a man, however, gender has nothing to do with the propensity of a human being to commit a crime.

Death served cold by Sourabh Mukherjee is a collection of seven bone chilling true crime stories. These accounts of gruesome crimes committed by women over the last three decades is very thrilling, engaging and interesting to read.

Crime can be committed by any gender, these true stories prove this fact. All the stories have a different plot and motive to kill but the common thread running through all these stories is that these are true stories of crime committed by women.

Some of the stories are really unbelievable like that of a 15 year old girl poisoning her family for love of her 51 year old tutor. This unpredictability is what makes this book worth reading. You just don't know what to expect from the next story and you keep flipping pages. It was an engaging and interesting read for me.

  • Aarti Arora

Death Served Cold, a documentary by Sourabh Mukherjee, presents 7 murder cases involving women as the prime accused.

The chapters feel like reading episodes of Crime Patrol or Saavdhan India. Just like these shows, the crime is solved majorly with the help of call records & cell phone locations. The only difference is that those TV shows don't reveal all the puzzle pieces at once & save at least one for the end, however, this book doesn't. It reveals all the actions taking place instantly, leaving no space for any surprise element at the end.

The language is pretty easy & the scenarios became easy to imagine with a smooth narrative. The cases are thoroughly researched and the author has cited all the references related to the criminal cases. Though I feel the book needs some editing to make the writing crisper.

Sourabh is known for writing a crime thriller ..Now he come up with collection of stories where women not only kills with smile but with knife and dirty minds too...

    Death served cold
Has shocking facts in each case the convict is a close relative/friend of the victim l. The message that one should never go with looks and trust anyone blindly, had been conveyed well.

The drawback is that the suspense element has been revealed too soon .
Sourabh has to work more on plot when he chooses real life incidence ...
Cover is very attractive and my verdict is 3 out of 5

The book has interesting cover and title that instantly made me pick up. I have read this authorโ€™s work before and I absolutely loved it so I was fascinated to read it. The tagline of the book is โ€œIndiaโ€™s most dangerous women murderersโ€ plus itโ€™s based on true incidents so I couldnโ€™t resist. I will superficially summarise the blurb to avoid spoilers. The idea of women can kill is rare. The book started with professor Dibhakar Dutt. He is a clinical psychologist. Dev is columnist. He wrote about crime. They had their eye on certain cases. Later on the backstory starts. I will discuss only one or two to avoid spoilers. Mahua saw her husband Nirupam dead. Her lover Sujit murdered him so that they can be together. The other women have some similar kind of backstories too. I liked the way Nidhi the beautician ganged up with Raj to rob a house. The book consists of several such gruesome incidents. This was something new for me. These all are based on true incidents and I havenโ€™t read about it till now. Author has tried to cover almost all briefly in the entire book. The narration style of the author is crisp. It almost gave me chills while reading some of the incidents. The language of the book is lucid so that everyone can pick it up. Overall quite interesting read.

  • Riju Ganguly

This book is a major myth-buster. It establishes, with clinical detachment and precision, a simple fact.
    Women also kill!
Patriarchy takes women for granted. Even others treat them unrealistically. But women, just like men, are capable of killing others out of greed, lust, and rage. And yes, they can do so with meticulous planning, to evade the law.
This book proves this fact with seven cases. They are actually fictionalized accounts of true crimes. Therefore aficionados of that genre should grab and read this book.
The writing is clean and sparse, befitting the sobriety of the subject.
    Recommended.

It's a collection of thrill stories which are based on true incidents associated with women over the last three decades.
The book is well researched about the incident and has explored the dark recesses of the female psyche.Such as Murdering her own husband, a kill the members of the family for this love for her tutor, a girl killing her family , greed been hover over the women which destroys everything.
Each story has different motives which will make you understand a lots of things being a part of crimes by women who even being unbelievable but yet true.
The book is interesting to read and will comple you to read till the end.

Death served cold is a collection of seven true murders committed by women over the last three decades. I really liked how the author has written the incidents. The research and the details really enhance the reading experience, giving the readers chills every few pages. Also, the
the best part is how the author takes us to the minds of those ruthless women and helps the readers understand the psychology behind their thoughts and actions, whether they are justifiable or not.
Personally, I found it slightly disturbing when I read about some of the most inhumane things one can do for greed, lust, and power like killing their loved one or literally a child. But something that bothered me was how some killers just got away with minimum punishment, especially for the murders that happened in the previous decades, when they could just find loopholes on anything. I can't really say which "murder" is my favorite, but To Sir with Love, A Family Massacre, and the habitual murderer are very well written.
I'd highly recommend this book if you love reading or watching about real life crimes/murder and the psychology behind it.

Death served cold by Sourabh Mukherjee

It's an anthology of genuine blood turning sour records of horrifying killings submitted by ladies. the possibility that a lady can kill, with a grin, yet in addition with a blade is regularly unsatisfactory in our general public well this book simply breaks the generalization thinking on the off chance that you have any. At the point when I picked the book, saw the cover and read the snippet I was very charmed to know what episodes lied in the middle of these pages and on a melancholy evening I started my read.

It's anything but fiction it's dependent on evident episodes. The book comprises seven stories, to be exact seven risky ladies killers across India. It's a well-informed book and best of all, the wrongdoing, as well as the thought process behind it, is referenced as well and keeping in mind that my interest was provoked the part where references are referenced aided me quiet it.

The account style is basic and more narrative style which keeps you held. Your interest in every story makes it an exciting read. I wouldn't mention anything about any of the narratives as I could like all of you to get your copy and find out about them. The book is something other than what I have been perusing.

Ps - a few sections are very savage and grim as it is an assortment of some hazardous wrongdoings so may take you a short time to process the reality essentially it took me some time to acknowledge it.

  • AANVI WRITES

Death Served Cold as the title reads is a collection of stories based on true incidents which has some of the most gruesome murders by women.
A Woman is always considered to be loving, caring and kind. But sometimes these qualities get replaced due to circumstances, greed and lust into she being cruel and merciless. The author Sourabh Mukherjee, in this book has brought out the dark side of women who not only planned the grisly crimes but also executed them perfectly.

The shocking fact in each case is that the convict is a close relative/friend of the victim who plotted against them. The message that one should never go with looks and trust anyone blindly, had been conveyed well.
The author has included references to the stories at the end of the book, for better understanding.

The only drawback is that the suspense element has been revealed too soon which forces the reader to lose interest. Also some of the descriptions about the crime didn't go well with me.

    Overall an engrossing read

  • Srikkanth G

"Death Served Cold" by Sourabh Mukherjee is a riveting and eye-opening book that challenges preconceived notions about women and violence. The author skillfully portrays unsettling scenarios, such as a teenage girl willing to murder her entire family to protect her love interest with her older teacher or an aspiring actress resorting to murder to safeguard her career.

The book's exploration of the darker side of human nature serves as a reminder that violence is not confined to a specific gender. It defies the traditional roles typically associated with women, like being a wife, mother, or sister, and delves into the depths of their capacity for heinous crimes.

Divided into chapters, each presenting its own self-contained story, "Death Served Cold" unfolds with a compelling structure. The chapters begin by introducing the crime that has taken place, then delve into the underlying reasons behind it and the individuals involved. The book's narrative style reads like a crime drama, capturing readers' attention with its gripping storytelling.

One particular story that stands out is that of the teenage girl accused of murdering her entire family. As the trial progresses, the narrative takes unexpected turns, shedding new light on the case. This captivating storyline exemplifies the book's ability to keep readers engaged and eager to uncover the truth behind each crime.

For fans of crime novels, "Death Served Cold" is a must-read. However, it's important to note that the book primarily focuses on narrating the events rather than delving deep into character development. While this might slightly diminish the joy of reading for some, approaching it as an investigative journalist's account will allow you to fully appreciate the gripping nature of the stories presented.

Overall, "Death Served Cold" offers a captivating and thought-provoking reading experience. It challenges societal assumptions about women and violence while delivering thrilling narratives that will keep you on the edge of your seat. Immerse yourself in these chilling tales and let your imagination run wild as you uncover the secrets within.

Women are often misjudged as the weakest race in our community both physically and mentally. Though weโ€™ve read books where the female protagonist is portrayed with passion, compatibility, determination, unshakeable wits rather being helpless when itโ€™s dealt with power. Itโ€™s been the same from the time of classics to the modern fiction that we read almost every time. Here is a book about murders and killings committed by some vicious women. The author has won a couple of literary awards for his works on psychological thrillers and his short story collections. This is one such novel.

โ€œThe idea that a woman can kill, not just with a smile, but also with a knife, is often unacceptable in our society. And it is because we have conditioned ourselves to look at women as nurturers over the ages.โ€

Death Served Cold is a narration of 7 real short stories about the crimes committed by hard-hearted women murderers in India for the past three decades. The story commences when Dev Rathee, an editor in 'The News of India' decides to write about the heinous crimes done by women and meets Professor Dibakar Dutt, an eminent psychologist in criminal psychology. He passes on the evidence and studies collected by him to Dev where he discovers that they are not all ordinary women outside. A woman killing her husband for lust, love and greed is unconventional and a 15 year old murdering her entire family to attain the love of her life is ainโ€™t normal. These true stories may be ones you heard or seen in your life where you could obtain answers for the questions you had at that point.

    What I loved??

The authorโ€™s method of organizing each crime, scene by scene from the past, the cause and to the present occurrences helps to put forth a better picture to the reader of what exactly is happening, happened and why. The chapter names for each story were found to be accurate and connected without letting a guess to the reader. The efforts taken to write this novel could be evidently seen from the research the author has done in completing this book. Finally, attaching the references and studies the author has gone through is something new for me, personally.

    What could have been better?

As it exhibits true crimes, the story holds through a series of brutality and violence where it makes one feel anxious occasionally. Felt quite disappointed with the publishers for the first time as the few pages of the book werenโ€™t printed.

    Would I recommend it?

If youโ€™re a fan of true crimes and thrillers just go for it.

    BOOK REVIEW
    Title: Death Served Cold
    Genre: Non-fiction
    Rating: 4/5โญ๏ธ

From reading the title to looking at the cover I was immediately interested in reading the book. I want to start by talking about the effort that went into research along with presenting different facts and figures and putting up an interesting read before the readers is what I liked the most about the book.
The author has covered gruesome murders committed by women in the last three decades.
I was wondering why only the cases of women are put forward?
With my understanding, I figured out that the author brings out the ugly face of women which contradicts the idealistic picture we have painted in our minds about women for years.
We have usually been across this side of a woman where she is soft, innocent, kind, full of love and joy. We have seen them as mothers, daughters, sisters, or a loved one. Reading this book on facts and reality will bring you towards an idea of acceptance that crime is not gender, religion, or race-specific.
While I am giving you the book description, you might be able to understand its similarity to the popular tv show, crime patrol or Savdaan India. In a raw sense, it is similar because it is about real-life crime stories.
    So why read this book?
One, because if you are reading this review then let me assume that you like to read more than to watch.
Two, the author has set a stage for stories to unveil. The choice of words and the way the author has written the cases, one for instance, โ€˜ The law in her handโ€™ was not a cruel murder but was interesting because it was well written.
And that makes the book unique. Gives us, the readers to explore the literary essence of the book.
The story named, โ€˜To Sir with loveโ€™ was a story about a teen named Sutapa having an affair with her teacher and she successfully masterminds a plan to kill her entire family.
This leaves a question mark on the education system, parenting, and society.
There are many such stories which will make you question.

I felt the editing of the book required a quick last-minute polish.
The book can be read by anyone who needs an opening to enter into a crime thriller or wants to read different non-fiction which is based on crime.
For the people who like to read and explore, this book came out as โ€˜interestingโ€™ to me because the different cases were a mixture of love, lust, greed, temper, and other human emotions drawn to a whole new level of toxicity which resulted into heinous murders.

    Happy reading โค๏ธ

Today's book in focus is DEATH SERVED COLD by Author Sourabh Mukherjee. Based on actual incidents, the book focuses on India's most dangerous women murderers. The book starts with a conversation between a well-known journalist Dev Rathee and eminent psychologist, Professor Dibakar Dutt. Dutt goes on to state that "๐“๐ก๐ž ๐ข๐๐ž๐š ๐ญ๐ก๐š๐ญ ๐š ๐ฐ๐จ๐ฆ๐š๐ง ๐œ๐š๐ง ๐ค๐ข๐ฅ๐ฅ, ๐ง๐จ๐ญ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐š ๐ฌ๐ฆ๐ข๐ฅ๐ž, ๐›๐ฎ๐ญ ๐š๐ฅ๐ฌ๐จ ๐ฐ๐ข๐ญ๐ก ๐š ๐ค๐ง๐ข๐Ÿ๐ž, ๐ข๐ฌ ๐จ๐Ÿ๐ญ๐ž๐ง ๐ฎ๐ง๐š๐œ๐œ๐ž๐ฉ๐ญ๐š๐›๐ฅ๐ž ๐ข๐ง ๐จ๐ฎ๐ซ ๐ฌ๐จ๐œ๐ข๐ž๐ญ๐ฒ." A curious Dev probes further upon this line of thought, following which Professor Dutt proceeds to hand him some files of crimes committed by women. The stories are the incidents that had been documented in those files.

It has been stated time and time again that true crime has no gender. While it is true that the statistics lean towards the male population when dealing with crimes, but it is also true that some of the most gruesome crimes have been committed by women. And yet, the general perception is that women are frail creatures who can only nurture and never kill. The truly twisted minds take advantage of such thinking and thus escape suspicion at first glance. Some women are quick to cry "Wolf" if they do not get their way. And some takes it even further in the form of manipulation and murder. To hammer the nail to this effect, the author has picked seven stories that will either leave you disgusted or have you double think about your gender perceptions.

I will spare you the contents, as I highly suggest you pick up the book and read it yourself. I have watched enough "Crime Patrol" and "Saavdhan India" that nothing surprises me anymore. In fact, I could imagine exactly how the stories would play out if they were relayed to one of the aforementioned shows. What truly amazes me every time is the reaction of the women criminals. They are either cold and distant as if the crime had simply been an act of nuisance, or they will justify it by painting themselves as the victim. The author has compiled a notable collection of such crimes and exemplified them in a way that borders on storytelling while staying true to the non-fiction vibe. As I stated earlier, this is a book I highly suggest to include in your reading list.

Women are always considered as the most beautiful creation of God & always worshiped but sometimes women became cruel they became brutal & can do anything that never expected. The reason behind the changes can be anything like anger, ignorance, self respect, lust etc.
    .
This book is just like this. It's a compilation of 7 short stories moved in different storyline different characters but more importantly one thing that just hold all these stories is a woman murdered her close ones due to certain reasons.
    .
If we talk about the first story it's the story of Mahua who has lots of dreams in her eyes but forcefully married with Nirupam without her consent. Soon after she found herself in a state of frustration where she was happy or pretend to be happy to the outer world but from deep inside she is just like a bird prisoned in a cage who has wings to fly but couldn't use it.
    .
She was so depressed & frustrated that she finally murdered her own husband just to have the pleasant satisfaction she was looking for since her marriage day.
    .
    It's not intriguing?
    .
To know more about such stories grab the book & give it a try.
