They killed my protector; drove me out of my home, and now I have nowhere to go. During my escape, the hunters injured me. No longer able to fly, I stumbled upon a cabin in the woods seeking help. The man I met wasn’t happy to see a naked woman with hunters hounding her. All I wanted was medical attention and some food.
All I wanted was to live my life in isolation and enjoy my retirement in peace. But then a naked woman approached from deep within the forest, needing my help. I knew I shouldn’t help her, she would only bring trouble. The men after her would arrive soon, and I should chase her away. But I couldn’t.
Lady Hawk and her Mountain Man is a stand-alone HEA shifter romance.

Lady Hawk And Her Mountain Man is a modern PNR about rare Hawk Shifters being hunted for their golden feathers and their healing abilities.
Jane escapes her captors after her protector sacrifices his life for her to escape. In the process she is hurt and seeks refuge with Byron.
Byron lives a solitude life after leaving the army, where he hunted and killed evil shifters.
He agrees to help her, despite his suspicions, but it is not in his nature not to help.
Then he finds out Janes story, that she is a rare shifter, being hunted to not only supply feathers, but also the evil Rhett wants to breed with her to have an endless supply of feathers and elixir.
I really enjoyed reading this book.
The characters were well developed. Both Jane and Byron are working well with each other, Jane being the Queen of her people and Byron the veteran loner, looking for a quiet life. The chemistry between the two is palpable throughout and going down with a blaze of glory rather than leading a non-life is what brings them together!
The reader immediately gets drawn in and you're desperate to find out what's going to happen.
Everything about this book is just so well written and the setting of Byron's cabin is just pure bliss!
Enjoy this highly recommended book!! -
I just love a great shifter story that really pulls you into the whole adventure that the characters are facing. Jane is a Hawk Shifter who has golden feathers that have healing properties and she has been captured for these feathers and also so the evil man Rhett, who is doing it, can use Jane who is the Queen of her kind, to impregnate her and forever have her children to keep producing the feathers. She meets Byron when she escapes from Rhett. Byron is ex armed forces, who was trained to take down evil shifters and supernaturals, he saves Jane and rescues her people. There is some hot scenes between Jane and Byron, but they eventually have their happily ever after.

Good well written story with an interesting and appealing premise, I would have liked a longer story that had a more in-depth feel but otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the book. I will definitely be reading more of this authors work. I received a complimentary copy from Storyorigin and am leaving a honest voluntary review.

Jane and Byron's Story . . .
Jane is a golden hawk shifter whose golden feathers have the ability to heal. Because of the value of such a thing, the evil Rhett has captured her for the feathers. He also plans to breed her to have a steady supply of the feathers.
Her protector gave his life so she could get away, but she was shot with a poisoned arrow and was in bad shape when Byron found her. Byron removes the arrow embedded in her shoulder and helps her to heal. Could he keep her safe? Would Byron be able to help rescue her people?
This was an intriguing story line with a “new” type of shifter. The added suspense kept the reader’s interest. Who will become Jane’s protector now? Grab your copy and find out how it all resolves and whether the evil Rhett is defeated. -
Good read with strong plot and character development. Loved that the shifter was not the usual shifter animals.

This was not my normal choice of read and yet I enjoyed reading this one, maybe because I love the film that inspired this story. I felt a connection to the characters and believed in their connection and chemistry. I enjoyed the strong characters, the suspense, the emotions, the passion, the friends and family and the paranormal world it was set it, I liked it so much that I could have happily continued reading on.

Intriguing Read
Jane, A rare hawk shifter, escapes captivity but is injured. She comes to rest near Byron's cabin. Byron, an ex-marine, is living in seclusion due to his reaction to all the horror he has been through. They become attracted to each other. Will they be able to deal with the evil men trying to recapture her? Will Byron be able to protect her? I like the action and romance. -
Jane
I think this is book 3 but I only found out after at the end of book, so maybe characters was in past books? The storyline was good a little different to most supernatural but I think James Patterson wrote something similar (he has a supernatural series to maximum) it reminded me of that But still is different. -
I loved this story so much I think I read it twice. Jane is a golden hawk shifter. The last of her kind. She has been kidnapped by some very evil people wanting to use her for breeding. They want to extract something for the healing properties. She escapes and is found and protected by Byron. He helps her with his marine expertise as well.

Hawk Queen
Throw an injured Hawk shifter in to the path of a burned out Marine and danger follows. Who better to protect the lady -
Lorks. A sort of medieval/evil geneticist plot with the very minimum of character development and presentation. My suspension of disbelief was very unwilling.

Good plot and an enjoyable read.

It wasn't bad, but the ending felt quite a bit rushed.
