Issues of representation continue to hound many industries in media--from film, to television, radio, and many acting gigs. Particularly in the USA, where more than half of the inhabitants of the large continent of North America is composed of Hispanics, yet, they continue to be treated as secondary citizens, prone to stereotypical renderings on visual media. This work by Gary D. Keller collects nearly every Hispanic actors and actresses from the Golden Age of Hollywood using a picturesque presentation using their studio portraits, with a bit of information about their filmography. What this could have benefitted from is the short critique and additional facts about their participation in the production mentioned here, wherein the usual silences rendered for these bit players and some lead characters are often delayed and normalized by the society and times that enabled misrepresentation.
