A good start, but needs some polish, the core storyline is lovely to follow, Colton and Jasmine have to work at getting to know each other. I enjoyed that part of the book. However, I did skim more than I was comfortable with, the author had pages of detailed inner monologues and descriptions that worked better than jasmine tea in helping me fall asleep. I didn't think it was awful, but more of 3.5 stars than 4, just because they distracted from the enjoyment of what was an exciting premise and threw me off my reading game. If she has an editor, they need to pay more attention to this habit and suggest a few changes. I'll read more in the series, but I hope this habit gets tightened up in the future. I'm left with questions like where are Jasmine's parents? Why all the lone wolf activity? Where is the pack mentality? I have so many questions.

To be honest, when I started this one I was worried it would not be my cup of tea but I soon become engrossed, to the point that I read it in one day - not quite one sitting though!
It is engaging and a good read overall but the story, while good, was fairly brutal in it's theme.

Jasmine wakes tied up in a cave. She recognized the man sleeping on the floor. After several escape attempts, Colton showed her the truth. His pack doesn't trust her. Trauma follows with hopes of reuniting.

I give this story a four star rating. Jasmine had to learn to accept change in her life, which is not as always easy to do. Colton is as very brave man and has a strong convention of his station in life. -
