Never Too Old
Regina aka Clara Mae is left alone after her husband of 28 years dies. Sadly she discovers her was unfaithful which leads her to leave the lie sgeshe had known. Holt was a widower who life & kicked in the teeth & heart. Holt & Regina both are at the place in their life where they want more & to discover who they really are. They have great sexual chemistry & a good friendship. Will that be enough with real life issues intrude? The story has a few side lessons but love finds a way. Great read. I leavea HEA 😍 -
Great Plot....
This story had a great plot. The idea was good to. I wish she could have been a little younger so she could possibly have a child of her own. I feel she deserved that. The typo's are what was a hindrance to this authors spoke. She has been at it long enough to know that just proof reading her own work would have tremendously. ( hence the rating) -
Regina and Holt
Loved, loved, loved this book. The details of Regina’s life and how she lost herself for more than 28 years due to her father’s and then her husband’s dominance is heartbreaking. Bettina thought that Fred was going to divorce ‘Clara Mae’ and marry her. As a pastor, that would have been the end of his ministry...and it should have been. He was to be the Word of God to his church followers but he acted like the devil. Everything done in the dark comes to the light; his reckoning came with his death. Betinna’s came when Regina confronted her in Fred’s old office and told her that she would have given him a divorce if he had asked. He, Fred, had it good; an obedient wife at home and a slut at church.
Then there Holt. To me he was a Godsend to Regina. They needed each other and love was the benefit. This book reminded me that we all should “To thine own self be True”. Regina be Regina and not Clara Mae. Holt be Holt for himself and not for this mother or his family. This book had a racial undertone in his mother’s speech to Regina and to Holt.
