The spring thaw has come . . . And murder is in the air.Connor doesn't even know he and Ivor are walking rage-murder time bombs, with implanted directives from the evil queen.Good thing the only other thing they have to worry about is how to survive the looming war against the indestructible Queen Dreokt. Despite a winter of frantic research, development, and training, fueled by bucketloads of thinking food, they're no closer to figuring out a winning strategy.Even if they can overcome the kill directive without all dying, they're out of time.Skirmishes, battles, and unprecedented destruction sweep the continent as Connor and his team lead an international coalition against the queen, united against tyranny and bound by ties of food diplomacy. But deeper truths lead to unexpected discoveries that shake the foundation of their understanding of magic and the final threshold. Their greatest hope might prove their worst nightmare.

The King's Craft (The Petralist #6) Reviews

    4,5 stars
Connor has learned a lot since he first used the magic of stones. In this epic book, he gets in a heap of trouble. Again. That seems to be his fate. What was once unimaginable, has happened; a united front comes together to fight the enemy.

The Queen is a formidable adversary, a deadly one. Connor, his friends and allies put everything they got into the battle. Although he is enjoying it, the mood changes when victory is close.

I like the growth of Connor and his friends very much, even if they sometimes make decisions that aren't smart. Don't we all? The interaction is great, and lots of humour is sprinkled around. Each character has his own flaws and things they stand out in, it makes them easy to like.

The last book of the series is much anticipated by me.

    Another great story

This was another great addition to The Petralist series. Full of action, adventure, and food. Can't wait to start the final book.
