    This was amazing!

This was so different from any other Vamp. dark romance I've read. It's really a very touching love story.. It's a gothic romance and that adds to the allure of this sweet tale...I think if I say too much it may ruin it for you...what I will say is how well written this is and how my heart ached for the vampire women, accept for one, in this book..it's truly about grief, sadness, overcoming past acts that were done to a child, and having to overcome fear of loss and although it seems hopeless one must just keep hope alive... I also felt such a love for the vampire who eventually softened his heart and found himself, his humanity, again through this very loving and strong woman! It's so heartwarming! Read this book!

I'd recommend this book for someone who is looking to start reading again. Decent pace (up until the ending anyway). It's a good book, not groundbreaking, but still good. The slow burn between Yelena and Dravmir was superb, in my opinion, when they finally kissed for the first time I was kicking my feet and giggling. The ending and plot twists, in my opinion, should have gone on a bit longer because the ending felt kinda rushed. But overall, it's a decent book.

I really enjoyed this book. It took me a few chapters to get into it but once I was there I was all the way there. It was beautifully written and probably one of the sweetest gothic romances I have ever read. My biggest complaint is that I wanted more. Right when I was completely invested in the love story it was over.

    Another Great Tale!

Ms. McClendon whips up the most beautiful fantasy stories! The characters quickly come to life & I find myself enthralled in their lives & stories! This one is my favorite thus far! Please keep them coming! Kudos!!

This was actually really good!! Despite the spelling errors I absolutely loved the writing. It was so descriptive and just ugh, it was good. An easy read as well if you're in a book slump and need an easy read! :)

I wanted to like this so bad, but trying to get through it became a chore.
Over 300 pages of repeating the same things over and over again. the story and characters had promise but the execution fell through and overall it needs serious editing.

just the gothic romance I needed

I’m so happy I finally found a gothic romance with all of the right vibes. Think Red Riding Hood meets beauty and the beast meets Dracula. The author did a wonderful job. Well done

    Very long-winded and slow.

  • Delani Monroe

This was such a good story. I truly felt like I was in this gothic world that the author created. I could visualize everything perfectly.

I don't usually like vampires, but I enjoyed this quite a bit. I felt like this had a really good mix of mystery as well as horror, to take away from the romanticism of vampires. I also enjoyed the fact that you really understand where the characters are coming from in their actions, because for a lot of the book, you only know as much as the main character, Yelena. But when the secret plot are reveals and secrets come to light, nothing feels like it came out of left field. All that to say, it evolved beautify, and wrapped up in a very satisfying way.
