When there’s an attempt on Barber’s life, Quain does what he’s been paid to do—protect him—but Barber’s uncle and cousin are kidnapped instead. In order to set things right, Quain must admit the truth to Barber about his undercover status and assignment. To Barber’s disgust, they need to work together to get his family back. By the end of this mess, it’s not only their lives at risk, but their hearts, too.

I’m reviewing the audio edition. This is almost funny for being a biker story. Quain is the funny part. My problem is I didn’t feel the narrator was able to capture the character. Barber, being the biker, is a complex personality. How these characters ended up together an author could pull off. There is a snarkiness and clash of personalities that made the story enjoyable. I really enjoyed the relationship between Quain and KC. Even though I enjoyed the story but I don’t think this narrator is able to meant to narrate biker stories.

I adored Barber and Quain, and I can't wait to write another book with M.D. Gregory. We're going to work on PD and Will's book next, folks!

For a series that had such a rough start, this series has become a favourite of mine and I wait impatiently for every instalment because I know it's going to deliver to my expectations. This was no different.
Since the very beginning, Barber and Quain have been at each others throats with their non-stop bickering and mutual dislike for one another. It wasn't until
The Assassin that we got the hint that there might be something other than mere dislike behind Quain's actions and this book delved deeper into those reasons.
I for one thoroughly enjoyed the story. I loved the new characters introduced and the dynamics they brought to the group.
Quain was an assassin yes, but he was such a bada$$ that I couldn't help but root for him. His love and care for the people he considered family was also admirable and I just loved how he was with KC.
For the most part,I liked Barber, but that man needed to shut his mouth some times. He was funny but I totally understood where everyone was coming from when they called him annoying. He certainly is an "acquired taste" for sure.
Let it be known that I'm seriously shipping Oli and KC as I foresee those two being adorable together. Also,I see some other potential pairings that have me more than excited for the future of this series. Can't wait!!

Kings MC serie is one of my favourite book series ever and I re-read the books all the time. I love them all.
King's Barber is perfection on a book! This book has it all: humor, sex and amazing MCs. I love Barber's sense of humor, so different from the other characters. Quain's bitching about Barber is everything. They are so perfect together. My heart stopped the moment Barber found out that Quain is an assassin, so glad he move pass the lies and found their happily ever after.
Ps: I need KC book ASAP! Cant wait for this one! And also for PD and Will book (crossed finger for them to be a couple).

Killer
Is it weird if I say assassins are some of my favorite people? I love them and when you pair them with a member of a no-holds barred MC, I’m sold. “He was one of a kind and kept me on my toes in ways others hadn’t.” I’d say that goes quadruple for Quain and Barber and I loved every dangerous, sarcastic, droll bit of them. Apart they’re fantastic but together they thrill. If I wasn’t so scared, I’d want to move in with them—eh, I’ll risk it. They’re scorching, smart, skilled and my eyes couldn’t look away from their shenanigans or chaos. From their incredible connection to the way they fight, everyone else and each other, I was hooked. They’ll steal your heart and my guess is you’ll be wrapped around their fingers in no time. -

This book is eight in the Kings of Men series, focusing around Luke "Barber" Booth and Quain Beaumont.
Luke is a barber as well as a King, just running his business, till a prissy uptight hair stylist opens up a shop next door. Quain is a certified hair stylist/assasin that has been hired to protect Luke at all costs. Entertainment ensues.
I definitely found this book to be the funniest in the series. Quain is so upset at times that he finds his mark attractive, especially someone like Luke. Then you add in that everyone around them knows they want each other, it just makes it ten times funnier.
The story did not disappoint. It was well worth the read. We not only get to see Barber's evolution throughout but revisit with previous couples.
My only continuing criticism per Say is the connective plotline between the Clubs that runs in all the books. I would like to see that get more focus, see more fruition. The turf was war is interesting butit is just Kinda hanging there. -
**ARC Review** Crazy Sexy & Cool...
WOW...this was good. High heat/action..no weepy/sappy moments and nicely paced. Off the bat, Barber and Quain grab your attention and you know this is gonna be fun there on out. I absolutely love Barber. He had me laughing out loud so much with his antics. He's ruthless when needed but all around a fun dude with a good heart. Quain with his cool sophistication is the right balance to Barber craziness. All throughout their budding "relationship" I was on pins and needles waiting for the shoe to drop on Quain's secret... bracing myself for the fall out. The guys chemistry was off the charts and I knew any hurdle thrown at them they would be able to get over...the bond was too strong to break. All in all this was a fun ride in the world of Kings of Men and New Gothenburg. A satisfying ending for the guys and I can't wait to read more. -
I was given the absolute pleasure of reading the ARC of King’s Barber. What a wild ride. From start to finish it kept me interested. The main character Barber, is almost childlike in his excitement of being a King. He’s an annoying brat that would drive the most sanest person nuts. Quain Beaumont is an enigma wrapped up in a turtleneck. It’s all fun and games until someone gets shot and as the story moves on you honestly think at one point it will be Quain shooting Barber 🤣. Quain, who is tasked with the protection of Barber without him knowing at the start falls by the side as they become closer and inevitably end up together, no matter how much Quain protests. It’s also great seeing the club members from earlier books crop up as well. I highly recommend this book as well as the previous ones in the King’s of Men MC series. King’s Barber is an exciting roller coaster of barbs, quips, guns and love and it well deserves 5 stars.

This is the latest in the Kings of Men MC series. It can be read as a stand-alone but if you haven’t read the others you will want to after reading this!
Barber was a lot different to what I expected - he made this fun!
MD Gregory has a writing style that pulls you straight in. I get totally absorbed in her books (and Ki Brightly) and love all her characters. Even when they are bad they have redeeming qualities that you can’t help but love.
I enjoyed the banter from Barber, the danger and suspense and the relationship between all the main characters and the last chapter was one hot sauna of steam (you know what I’m talking about).
If you like MM I Recommend this book unreservedly.

Barber was the loud, troublemaker of the MC. He was the joker who always had a quick word and ready to stir up something.
Quain was his total opposite, the calm one who watched and calculated his every move as was suited to his assassin profession perfectly.
Brought into Barbers life under false prentenses, Quain and quickly finds the lines blurring for him between his profession and his personal life as he can’t seem to shake his attraction to the loud man.
But, danger is lurking and secrets will be exposed as Quain will have to reveal his true self, how will the MC and Barber deal with it all.
A really good addition to the series, Barber was a steady character throughout the series so far and he so badly needed his story told. This opposites attract trope worked so well in this story.
The plot is packed with humor, action, some really kinky scenes between the main characters, fantastic supporting characters and a lovely ending.
An entertaining read overall. -
Loved Quain and Barber
Oh, how I loved Quain and Barber. Another Kings book I’ve put off reading and I’m not sure why. I really loved both of these characters.
Barber was such a goofy character. It seems to go against type: big MC guy who would kill you for the slightest infraction against The Kings. But he really did keep a fun outlook. He was nearly always smiling and he was filthy and sexy all rolled into one.
Quain, while posh and debonair, was hiding this trained assassin under his turtlenecks. I loved the tension between him and Barber. There was no doubt it was gonna spill over at some point. He and Barber were so sexy together.
KC was a great side character. And, of course, we get to see several other Kings throughout. MD and Ki always say they have trouble letting their characters go. I, for one, am grateful. I love seeing the other couples and getting snippets of their lives.
This was a fantastic edition to The Kings. -
Quain Beaumont is an assassin. Hes literally paid to kill people. The one and only job hes ever taken to protect a person, is the one where he falls head over gun for a man that drives him to either kiss him or shoot him, to shut him up.
Barber, has a massive secret from the Kings. Huge. But as he hasnt spoken to his father in years, he feels like the man is dead. Pity, that his father is the reason the cartel is after him. On the otherhand, his father is also the reason Quain is in Barbers life.
With Barber, Quain, does something hes vowed never to do, he introduces him to his family. Brings him into his life. Finds someone else to love, to crack open the wall around his heart..
Typical Kings story. Brilliant from start to finish! Loved the interaction of the Kings and introduction to KC, and KCs introduction to uncle Errol. -
Barber was an absolute riot and breath of fresh air, don't get me wrong he was still a King and terrifying loon but he bought a certain charm to the role. Barber and Quain have been sniping at each other for ages and the OST is just crackling away when the inevitable happens. When the truth came out about who Quain was I just about fell off my feet as I could just imagine the fallout. Such an explosive scene when the cards are on the table and a rescue is needed, a fun and tantalising read about secrets, grudges and adorable sleep talk. I'm not positive how Barber is still here to be honest, his guardian angel must be working triple time to combat his casual lunacy. I loved Quain as he was so cool headed and snarky, gave as good as he got yet kept coming back for more. I think my favourite bit of this book is when King's bedroom is violated and he finds out what happened.

A great series, but I hated the narration.
I have loved this series, and this book was so well written. The MC Barber (Luke) and Killer (Quain) are well described and have great lines that made me laugh. However, in my opinion, the narration for Quain let the whole book down. The tone, accent, everything about it made me cringe. I also have to turn the speed up to 1.35 on audible as he reads too slowly for my ears.
Saying that, I still listened until the end as I love the writers and the series, and yet again, they do not disappoint. Full of snark, violence, love and hot sex, what's not to love.

Can we say HOT, because that is what the read was between Luke and Quain, they bring out the darker side of sex of each other that fit together perfectly that is if they don't kill one another first. Luke was a nightmare of an assignment the guy was always leaves chao in his wake and for Quain that was a hardship to witness. A job was a job know good came from mixing business and pleasure only lines was blurring in the middle. The King's MC crew didn't take betrayal lightly how would they handle the truth of just who the hairstyles really was. Quain's sleep talking was so freaking hilarious, I mean come on an assassin saying some of the craziest things ever. -
I used this review for the audible book. Story was a 4 star, narration was a 3 star.
Luke is a barber (hence his nickname). Quain is an assassin. His latest job is bodyguarding a pain in the butt, endearing, gruff, motorcycle riding, playful barber. I liked their give and take. Snark was off the charts, as was the sexual relationship.
I haven’t read (or listened) to any other books in the series but I didn't feel lost. There are a lot of characters and relationships to navigate though. KC definitely needs his own story.
This is one book I should of read before listening to the audio. I felt that maybe this was the wrong narrator for this story.

This is another great addition to the Kings of Men MC series. The interactions between Barber and Quain are hilarious! So much so that you honestly wouldn’t be surprised if it’s Quain pulling the trigger at Luke himself. He has to shut him up some way and if it’s not going to be with a bullet, it’ll have to be with his mouth. Their banter is a lot of fun, the steam factor is through the roof, and the tension is exciting and had me completely hooked on them. I love characters who can keep each other on their toes - it’s chaotic in the best way! The biker and the assassin are just perfect for one another!

I am normally not a fan of biker books but this one I really liked. as I did not read the other books in this series, I had no concept of Luke, which was maybe a good thing as I think I would have been annoyed by him otherwise.
I really liked Quain - but not in the audiobook, there he sounded like an entitled ass. but I had some troubles with Luke as I thought he was over the top sometimes. also, sometimes he was portraied as not very bright and sometimes as bright but presenting himself not so. all in all not something I prefer in my characters.

I am reviewing the audiobook. Quain and Barber were hilarious and I loved the snarky relationship they had. I thought everyone overreacted when they found out why Quain was hanging around Barber. 🤔 Yes, something bad happened, but it was unexpected.
I am also intrigued by KC and Oli. Don’t know if they will be together or separate, but I want to read about both of them. Loved the story and would highly recommend it! I am so glad that more stories about the Kings of Men will be coming. I adore all of them! -
Quain is an assassin that’s been hired to protect Barber. Barber is a member of a MC club. Barber is a troublemaker, loves to stir the pot. He also is insanely attracted to Quain who he thinks is a hairstylist and owner of the salon next his barber shop. I freakin loved these two, they were hot and steamy, off the charts fire together! The tension rolled off the pages, sooo good!! The writing was fantastic, so well written. I’m voluntarily reviewing from an advanced copy that I received.

Not gonna lie this was a harder read for me. I'm not a huge fan of characters lieing about who they are. But with that said
She has done it again. I love this world and the characters in it. Barber and Quain together *chefs kiss*. No spoilers, just to say the story is everything you expect and more. It's always nice to see other characters come together to make this story.

Bah, humbug!!
Why do bad guys make for such amazing reads?!?! LOL!!! Quain, a Society assassin, and Barber, a MC biker are two bad guys who make quite an interesting couple. I loved the banter and quick snark of Barber and how no matter what Quain couldn’t resist his charm. Hot guys and equally hot sex...loved the thrill of the knife play!! -

Yet another amazing book in this series. Barber has always drove me batty and he is no different in his own book! But I still love every bit about this MC and the cast of characters. Every time I finish one Kings of Men book, I’m dying for the next one. They are amazing. -
Barber and his Protector
The family of King’s Men just got gets stronger and bigger by adding a quiet dangerous killer who keeps Barber out of hazardous situations and keep him alive. The two MCs are so different from each other yet make a good couple. LoL. It is also really good to see other key characters of the series. It is an enjoyable read and would love to read more.
