  Halloween book during summer why yes!!!
  Now this one I had mixed feelings I liked it but the h got on my nerves.. James really had me sticking.
  
  Both have been friends for ever and both have been pinning after one another, now that Scarlett was stood up on a date James is finally going with his plan to tell and show Scar he wants her but it's not that easy when you have a best friend like her being stubborn as heck and fighting the feeling every step of the way. But I was glad that James never gave up he kept showing her he is 100000% all in plus he was a spicy talking man. Between haunted rides, a ex and creepy dude kidnapping his woman James is done with that mess... he's showing scare how obessed and crazy he is about her.
  
  I think this would have been fine as a novella or cut out some things (flashbacks) cuz it was little long..

  If you want a quick short read with a lot of spice, a bit of drama and no cheating attractive…Come for me is it. James and Scarlett have been best friends since they were kids. James has had feelings for Scarlett for a long time but little does he know she feels the same way. What happens when her date stands her up and she calls James to come for her? When he decides he can’t stand by and watch her go with another man because she’s his?
  
  James decides to take the opportunity of her date not showing to his advantage. To go on a haunted house ride and proposition her to just one night of absolute pleasure. Letting her live out her fantasies through him. But James wants more than just one night, he wants forever. Soon enough confessions and truths start coming out. Are they willing to risk it all, their entire friendship?
  
  I loved James. I felt for him and all the little things he has done throughout the years to show Scarlett how he feels. Not wanting to feed into his playful flirting, Scarlett brushes aside everything and buries her feelings so her best friend.
  
  It was sexy, steamy and passionate. I adore how James despite being dominant was shy with showing a side of himself to Scarlett. The little graphics that add to each chapter was great.
  
  Recommended for anyone looking for a quick spicy read.

  James (H) has been secretly in love with his best friend Scarlett (h) for years and things have finally reached a head on a Halloween night when they're trapped together in an amusement ride. Their forced proximity makes them really talk to one another, even if James is having to drag things out of Scarlett. She just frustrated me so much and I nearly wanted to cry for James with the NY trip and the karaoke. While the 'drama' allowed Scarlett to showcase her intellect and James to be her rescuer, it honestly felt a little distracting and didn’t add that much to their James and Scarlett's story. The hot, sexy and intense passion for one another was fantastic! I loved that they were willing to share and act on one another's fantasies. On a formatting note, I also like the graphics at the beginning of each chapter, as well as the fact that each chapter has a title – they add to the work!

  I usually read short novellas about stalker BFFs but this was longer and meatier and just really over the top! Lots of quality seggsy time and real character development. Can’t wait to read more Julie Thorn!

  This is my first book from Julie and I really enjoyed it. James and Scarlett were perfect and I’m so happy they got their HEA . If like me you will sit through the rest of the book wondering what happened to the Kitten , but don’t worry you will get the answer near the end of the book 😊

  3.5 stars for Julie Thorn's newest edition. This is a dark romance but I would say it falls into the light grey on the scale. It's a great little novella full of plenty of spice, a little drama, and suspense.
  
  It is a friends-to-lovers story at its heart but has an obsessive/stalker type as one of the leads.
  
  I really enjoy Julie Thorn's books, they are a great quick escape with interesting stories and HEA for the characters. Don't have time for a full novel? Then I recommend giving Julie's books a try.

James finally has Scarlett's undivided attention and she can't get away, he'll make her open her eyes and see what is right in front of them.
  
  Scarlett is sure she is wearing out her welcome with James and that she should get out of his hair but stuck in the haunted house he's making her rethink everything. While he pushes her to see what is right in front of them all she can see is the fact they are at risk of ruining a lifelong friendship.
  
  Convinced to give it one night, they get off the ride only for Scarlett to get caught up in a dangerous encounter. James won't lose her now that he finally has her where he wants her. After he gets her safe he plans to turn their one night into forever. He will just have to convince Scarlett.
  'She's running, and now so am I. Wherever she goes, I go. She's my favorite person. She's my favorite EVERYTHING!'

  This is the first novel that I have read from this author. This was quite a quick easy to read little feel good OTT romance with a some steamy scenes but probably wouldn’t categorise this book as being erotica.
  
  The main characters, James and Scarlett have been best friends since they were little, but unbeknownst to either one, both of them having been harbouring a secret attraction for the other.
  
  After Scarlett’s date to the carnival goes a wrong, James decides to take the bull by the horns and ‘shoots his shot’, do his little possessive alpha thing and take Scarlett to the carnival himself. As they end up getting stuck on the haunted house ride, in the near dark, all alone together, under a blue moon, those hidden feelings and desires start emerging. The sparks fly and there is definitely an obvious chemistry between these two. And when James offers Scarlett a night filled with sensual pleasure, the question remains, will one night be enough for Scarlett? Can James take this chance to convince Scarlett that he is in fact in it for long haul?
  
  This HEA is a good one for a quick easy read on a lazy afternoon or a night in with a nice glass of wine. Would definitely recommend giving this best friends to lovers romance a go.

  I really liked this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable for the most part. Jackie was unhappy and so she struck out. She unfortunately found Carl and the two of them together were not a good combination. Candace was a great friend for Scarlett as she was supportive but also willing to give her a push when she needed it. James and Scarlett had been best friends for most of their lives. At some point, how they felt about each other changed and became more. Unfortunately, neither of them were willing to tell the other about that change. After a separation James and Scarlett were reunited but they still hadn’t revealed their feelings to each other. James was determined to change that and took steps to make it so. Little did they know but they were meant for each other in more ways than one. There was some drama, angst, steam, and sweetness. I loved their happily ever after. I recommend reading this book.

  Hummm...I a bit short of words right now...this story is beyond scorching hot...it even made me search on Google on what did a Prince Albert piercing looked like...tattoos I love...piercings?...not so much, well I had seen it just didn't know what it was called.   I really enjoyed James and Scarlett's story. There was so much chemistry between them and the steamy scenes were very good! I liked how they've both been secretly in love with one another since they were younger. Yet they were so afraid of letting things go in the romantic direction, in fear of losing each other as best friends. It was a great short story that you just don't want to put down.
