Oh my, I'm not crying it's just a bit of dust in my eye.
She bit her lip hard all the way there, trying not to cry before she was somewhere safe. With a gasp, she rushed into the room. It was empty. A flood of tears erupted, her hands unable to hold them back. Her heart fractured, grinding down into dust. She locked a stall door behind her. The sobs were too loud and she tried to quiet herself - she didn't want to be the girl that made scenes in public restrooms. It's okay, it's okay, she kept telling herself, frantic to calm down before they came looking for her.
The very title hints to the quirky humour in this wonderful, BDSM-themed romance. The book focused more on the emotional and mental aspects of kink, with fairly "gentle" play in most of the sex scenes. Personally I would have liked a few more scenes of them just "being" in one another's presence, a chance to see the relationship build and their emotions develop. Some of this was done "off page", and it very occasionally left me playing catch-up on being convinced of the depth of their feelings. However I can't complain about how the characters were shaped and developed through the story. I'd rather have that personal growth, which is why this still hit 5 stars.
For me, the biggest strength of this book was the realistic feel to the relationship, regardless of it being an MFf one. Something that often leaves me dissatisfied with BDSM romances is how the D/s relationship seems to be the only connection the couple have, or at least the feel that it is more important than the romantic one. The dynamic between Jude, Q and Sabrina always felt natural, always felt real and always felt believable. Each character was distinct, strong, consistent and I loved them all, imperfections included. She'd always adored the hint of humor in his eyes, and his mouth that turned into a grin at unexpected moments. It made him a man and not just her Dom.
I really appreciated how Jude allowed the girls to be themselves, how these three were a romantic triad as much as a kink one. That being together was the priority, not protocol and calling Jude "Sir". It felt much more like a sustainable relationship than those found in books by more popular and well-known "BDSM authors". This was a relationship where there was no attempt to change or alter the sub to fit the Dom(me)'s desires, where the Dom didn't claim to know the sub(s) better than they knew themselves. (I HATE that trope!!!!!!!) This ticked boxes for me I didn't even know I had. I have to admit to having previously steered away from ff, but the scenes in this one were incredibly hot.Q put her hands around Sabrina's shoulders and tugged her closer. "Thank you for trying to distract Nico." She lowered her head and kissed Sabrina. Not hard and sexual, just the kiss of a woman appreciating the one who held her heart. As quietly as the sun rising at dawn, he felt peace drift down on them. Magic.
One thing I really do have to mention is how seamlessly the author's writing and voices blended together. I discovered partway through reading this that each wrote one character, though I still swear blind Cari Silverwood encouraged all the brattiness! I'm pretty certain Q and Sabrina personalities are very much based on the three authors themselves. The story is unlike the majority of books you could read by Ms' Silverwood and Black. It's very consensual and contemporary, with quite a gentle feel. That said, it's full of the snarky humour and great writing that I've come to expect from this pair.
We got to see the individual dynamics of the pairs within this triad, and I loved how it never felt as though the third person were being left out. Their presence was felt emotionally and mentally even when they physically could not be present. I bought the box set, so I shall soon be jumping into the follow-up book, and will be interested in seeing how the authors deal with issue of prejudice and family expectations. When they went out to eat, she could predict what the others would order, they picked off of each other's plates, and there were so many inside jokes it was like they had their own language. It made her feel important, valued, loved.

If there's something strange in your neighbourhood, who 'ya gonna call?
How could you not love a book which opens with a quote from the title song from
Ghostbusters? That little, seemingly inconsequential quote serves well to set the tone for the proceedings because this book is a curious creature. It's giddy and exuberant... and it's contagious.
Most of the intimate things we do are, at best, a tangential to procreation. We kiss, hold hands and make out because they're fun. Sadly, somewhere between real life and the written page, that understanding gets lost. Most books treat us to descriptions of acts and arousal and orgasms, but what's lost among the sea of words is the feeling that the characters are enjoying what they're doing - that they're actually having fun. That is something which this book gets oh-so right. There's kink and steamy sex aplenty but never any doubt that the characters are enjoying themselves, and each other. And it's that atmosphere which makes this book a joy to read.
I usually like to counterbalance the 'niceness' by telling you what's wrong with a book. Well, I don't like the title (yeah, that's about all I've got). The notion of a dom needing a safe-word is imposing and intimidating. The title is scary but, rest assured, this bunny doesn't have fangs.
You know the fluffy rom-com you won't admit to liking but secretly love to pieces? That's this book. I'd say it's a guilty pleasure read but to hell with that! Sometimes it's good to relax, take a deep breath, and smile. :) -
I quite liked this story, light hearted at times, serious at others, romance and bratty subs and a Dom with amazing tolerance and a sense of humour.
It is a ménage story with supposedly straight, Sabrina, encouraged into her submission by bi switch, Q, and an adorable Dom to both girls, Jude.
Needed a light BDSM and a HEA end read right now, yet still with some angst, and this has these elements. It also reflects what for some is a difficult step...coming out of the closet to close and extended family, and also reflects two views...the intolerance and prejudices of Sabrina's family and the unexpected acceptance by Jude's mother. I like how this was portrayed.
I know some dislike bratty subs, but the quick witted comments and actions of Sabrina and at times Q was refreshingly different. It also has a scene that shows the need for safety when playing scenes with unknown people and how some claim they are BDSM practitioners but are abusers hiding behind the BDSM umbrella and give real caring BDSM practitioners bad press.
There are a few typos and I rate this as borderline 3/4 stars as stands, and I will get the rest of the series. -
50% in I was still unsure if I going to like this story or not. The constant use of some 'cute' names irked me however I got used to them and found they lessened further into the story. Likewise probably due to the names I didn't overly care for Q or Sabina (intially) however the last 1/3 of the book was great and I came to really like the girls and Jude!! Well I liked Jude throughout the entire story :)

The collaboration of authors Cari Silverwood, Leia Shaw, and Sorcha Black is a three-some made in literary heaven. They do a fantastic job telling a great story that I loved.
Best friends and roommates, Q and Sabrina, constantly live with their attraction for one another. The two, sexy women meet Jude during a night of ghost hunting. Jude is only in town for the summer. A friendship begins and the three quickly agree to explore a BDSM, three-some relationship (FFM). Can they keep their hearts out of the mix? Or will someone get hurt at the end of summer?
The three main characters (Jude, Q, and Sabrina) are wonderfully written. I cared about them all, yet felt an extra connection with Sabrina. Her antics and humor had me laughing throughout the entire book.
Q was funny in her own right. She was also a tortured soul and my heart still breaks for her. When I began the story, I questioned her knowledge of the lifestyle. As I learned more about Q, her behavior made perfect sense. I cried for this tough and lovely woman. At times she was self-destructive and others she was gentle and loving.
Through most of the story, I felt like I knew Q and Sabrina quite well. Although I really adore Jude, he seemed to be the third. Kind of just there. Oh, he was a very active participant in the smokin’ hot sex scenes. I knew he was a great guy throughout. I never questioned that. I was so happy when we learned more about him. However, I do wish it would have been a little sooner.
The three weather many ups and downs – together and apart. Abuse that will make you cringe and seemed all too real. Questionable choices, self-destructive behavior, beautiful friendship, off the charts sex and, finally, love. I will be waiting impatiently for the next book these three fabulous authors are currently writing.
Dom with a Safeword is a fun, sexy read that will make you laugh, cry and need a cold shower… all at the same time!!

Jude just wants to spend a relaxing summer by himself before he has to start med school when he discovers two girls trespassing on his property in the middle of the night. Doesn't anyone understand that he just wants to be left alone?
Sabrina and Q, roommates and best of friends, are searching for concrete evidence of ghosts when they're caught trespassing and sent on their way. Q doesn't want to disappoint Sabrina so she finds a way for them to get back into Jude's home only to discover that he's a real life BDSM Dom who doesn't have any problems handling two bratty girls who want to explore a D/s relationship with him and each other.
This light hearted but highly erotic tale with a mff theme was just what I needed right now. I have been reading some intense, complicated, and emotionally draining reads lately so just letting a story take me away and experience the journey surrounding the three central characters was so refreshing yet stimulating enough that I was never bored. It was interesting to see how each role in this relationship developed over the course of the story and how that affected the climatic ending.
The only letdown I had was that parts of the story were not developed enough to suit me. First, the girls were amateur paranormal investigators yet when actual evidence is obtained this part of the story dropped off. And I did have concerns with the way that was addressed. Then there was a bad guy slant in the story which really irked me. I sooooooo wanted to see more to highlight this part of the story too but, alas, I didn't get my wish. Sure the erotic BDSM action had me taking a few convenient breaks to cool off but I am one who wants the plot to also shine.
Overall this book was a success with the authors putting out a book that had laughs, sexual tension, awesome mild/medium intensity BDSM play between a Dom, switch, and sub, and a story that will appeal to both women and men readers. -
The first in the Badass Brats boxset is off to a very good start!
But what else did you expect from Cari?
Sabrina and Q are ghosthunting.
And the house Sabrina picked happens to have a new resident.
Jude catches the girls as they try to get in,and that is the start of something beautiful.
Because he’s a Dom,Q is a switch,and Sabrina is a closet sub.
Not only that,Q is bi and she loves Sabrina.
But Sabrina was brought up with traditional values and even though she has feelings for Q,she’s afraid to do something with them.
She ís protective of Q,though...and acts upon it when her a**hole ex harasses her.
With Jude added to the mix, boundaries are crossed, and possibilities explored.
But Jude has to leave after the summer....he feels obligated to follow into his father’s footsteps and become a doctor.
Does he really have to?
Why can’t he find his own way in life?
With Sabrina and Q?
Loved it,and left me wanting to hear more of this delicious trio! -

SOME SPOILERS
I really like this...a lot! I'm not really a fan of BDSM books, mainly because most, in my opinion aren't well written or I can't get into the characters heads.
In Dom with A Safeword, I really enjoyed the characters. At first, I was a little uncomfortable with the relationship between Q and Sabrina. I'm not particularly a fan of FF type stories - because like many BDSM stories, I don't find them to be well written or relatable. But any awkwardness I felt melted away when Jude entered the picture.
Ahhh, Jude...I loved him. I loved how he explained everything to Sabrina and with each step, reminded her that it was okay for her to stop. Also, that he was very perceptive to Q's need to control and feel needed by both he and Sabrina. He was very loving, careful and sensitive to both of the girls desires and needs.
Other similar themed stories just seemed dark in comparison. He was the complete antithesis to what I've experienced in the genre. I loved when Q called him Sunshine. To her that is what he was because she had only experience darkness in any of her previous relationships. He was aware of this and wanted her to feel beautiful and loved.
Although there were definitely moments that I was completely annoyed by Sabrina and the story was very slow in the beginning, there was more right than wrong.
Well done! -

If you are a fan of BDSM or Ménage books I recommend checking out these three authors because you won’t be disappointed.
Sabrina and her best friend Q are out ghost hunting and happen to end up at what they think is a deserted house. They are surprised to find Jude is living there and spending the summer fixing it up before he goes to medical school. Jude is a Dom and worried medical school will get in the way of his kinky side. Q is bisexual and a switch and secretly in love with Sabrina. Sabrina is scared and confused about her feelings for Q and curious about the lifestyle. With all of the obstacles they have to overcome can these three find love together?
I loved this story, it has a bit of everything, it is sweet, funny (love the brats) and all three characters have scars that make loving each other hard and scary. Oh and trust me you won’t forget the super-hot sex! If the weather is cold where you are this book will keep you nice and hot. Looking forward to starting the next in this series. Enjoy. -

Cari Silverwood is one of my favourite writers. This one is a little lighter than her other works (possibly as it is co-authored) but I still devoured it in one sitting. I loved all of the separate characters but I adored Jude for allowing these two women to finally allow themselves to express their feelings for each other. Yes there is FF contact in this book, in fact there is a lot of it, but the emotions that are apparent in every word, make these scenes incredibly hot. It is clear that they are all exactly where they want to be.
Q is probably the character that I liked the most in this. Both Sabrina and Jude had a definite end point for the relationship in their head but she was truly dreading it. Just out of an abusive relationship, Q is a Switch who has to be Dominated roughly. She has to be chased down, has to be pinned and had to be beaten; Jude stepped up to the plate in this book. The other side of her wants to Dominate Sabrina. For a while, I hated Sabrina. She knew about Q’s feelings and really did little to discourage them. It was selfish behaviour towards someone that she counted on as her best friend and it truly pissed me off. It never deterred Q though, and she saw her opportunity with Jude and grabbed onto it with both desperate fists. It was she who instigated the IM chats, she who instigated all of the meetings and she who was the driving force of the direction that it took. She had so many emotions riding on this relationship, I knew that she was going to take their end badly. It was like watching a disaster unfurl on the pages in front of me. On a side note her ex is a douche. Like a horrible character to read about....I really wanted someone to kick his ass.
Jude doesn’t want to give up being a Dom but he feels that he should to be a Doctor. Someone needs to sit that man down and tell him how kinky Doctors can be. When he meets the two girls, he feels all his Christmas’s have come at one (a FFM ménage with whips, handcuffs and fetish wear? It’s like it was written by a man!!). He is so considerate to both of their needs, so conscious of pleasing them both that he is truly awesome to read about. He didn’t balk at the lengths he would have to go to Dominate Q but also was a conduit for the girls to be with each other like they really wanted. He was just *swwoooon*. I laughed out loud at the scene where they are all at the club and someone wants to take a picture of Jude proclaiming him his hero; men are crazy creatures! Sabrina was the character I had the most problems with. I understood her reasoning, but it made her selfish. The only time I truly liked her was towards the end of the book. She kept it together in the face of pure craziness from everyone else...she grew stronger and it made me a happy bunny.
The sex scenes in this book are of the standard that I expect From Cari. They are emotive, tense and panty-drenchingly hot ... I fricking loved them. I’ve read enough GLBT erotic fiction to know that the FF scenes were not going to bother me and they were some of the hottest in the book; the forbidden love that exists between these two is so beautiful to read about.
This book is fun, captivating and hot, hot, hot! With a Dom strong to take on two subs and a pair of subs who love to sass their Master, it’s exactly the kind of read I was looking for. Well done Cari, Leia and Sorcha....you’ve wrote a blinder J -
I loved this story.. the characters were so real. My only complaint was I would have like them to do a few more things together (besides having sex) - more day to day activities, even though they were not officially living together. I also wanted to know more about Nico's & Q's relationship and why Q needed so much "pain" to be happy.
I was so happy with the ending I was proud that Sabrina was not going to let her family / upbringing spoil a chance at this opportunity / happiness.
Great read - would give it 4.5 starts if i could -
This is an incredibly well written story about two girls; one bi, the other is convinced that she is not only straight but hates sex. They fall in love, with sweet perfectly hot and Dom-y Jude and each other. Just a great story, and a wonderful read. I would recommend this to anyone, and will be looking for more like this

Fun Polyamory
This is a fun story with Polyamory as a basic plot point. The whole point to the story is that Q is figuring that Sabrina will be more comfortable in some sort of relationship with her if that includes Jude. Jude for his part is happy to have two girlfriends and Sabrina is hesitant but is willing to give it a try. There is a lot oh three some sex and it was well written. They set out with the the intention of it being a temporary arrangement, but at the end there is a HEA. -
I usually read anything that Leia Shaw publishes. I like her writing style. I love her dialogue. I enjoy her characters. However, when I saw this book I decided against reading it as the idea of three authors working on one book sounded like a disaster and I didn't like the previous book she co-authored in the same genre as this one.
However, a few people recommended it and I wanted a light book to end my year's reading challenge (especially as the previous book I read was a bit depressing). Unfortunately, this book was not for me. The ratings of this book are really odd. A few 2 star ratings and lots of 5 star ratings. It is quite bizarre the polarity that exists.
So why didn't it work for me? It actually had nothing to do with three authors writing it. It read as if there was only one author and flowed quite smoothly. What didn't work for me was the following:
1) The title. It is dreadful. I mean DREADFUL (and yes that is IMO). There is that whole issue with wanting a bit of privacy in your reading and I usually am reading while I am looking after my kids and don't want to get into the whole "What does that mean mummy". Thank-god for Kindle! But mainly, it is just cheesy. It makes me grimace and think they are trying too hard with that title. Eeek. Again - most people seem not to mind it.
2) The characters. Sabrina was beyond painful. Seriously bad character. Was she over legal age? I tell you what....she was mentally and emotionally delayed if she was. Sorry. Some of the stuff she said and did just makes me wanted to throw the book (again...kindle ensured that did not happen). The dialogue she was involved in was just cheesy and so so so not what I expect when I pick up a Leia Shaw book. Where is that witty, MATURE sarcasm gone.....:-(. Jude was average - but an overall weak lead. Q was probably the most interesting - but maybe I just thought she was the saving grace in a lot of cheesiness. I tell you though, as much as I like Q, if I hear the word "Little Girl" one more time - AHHHHH. Again. Bad bad dialogue.
3) Sabrina being a Ghost Hunter.....hmm. Don't get me started on that one. I get it. This book was suppose to be light and cheesy and poking fun at itself. It just could have been so much more. It could have been edgy and ground breaking....why bring this in?
4) It had an unfinished feel to it. For example:
"She changed her settings so she appeared offline to him. It was either that or they'd keep chatting all day"......ONLY THREE SENTENCES LATER....."She thought of ignoring him, but he could see she was online". Is it just me that finds that confusing? There are a few of these that just give it a bit of an unpolished feel.
5) I hate the term BRAT. I know this is now the name of the series - but it just has that teenage, UNDERAGE feel. So actually it probably works with Sabrina. And yes, I know that is terminology relevant to the genre (well I didn't know it when reading it, but looked it up as it was annoying the crap out of me and realised that it has a set meaning - see...I learnt something ;-). Just annoyed me.
Given the very high rating this book has received, I would say I am in a minority with this one. I just can't do cute and fluffy and silly. Congrats though on a great group effort. It really did seem like one author. I have been meaning to track down some of Cari's work as I have heard good things - so feel free to recommend a starting point with her work).
Oh and thanks for being the book that completes my reading challenge :-) -
I’ll come clean from the start and say that I was a beta-reader for this novel, and loved every minute of it. Three authors might seem like a bit of a handful when it comes to writing one story, but Leia Shaw, Cari Silverwood and Sorcha Black certainly have chemistry and sparks in all the right places.
Although there were a few times where I did notice a bit of an unevenness in style, the ladies hold everything together masterfully. What I especially appreciated was the authenticity of the characters' voices. Each has a history, has hopes, aspirations. As readers, we walk with them on a path of self-discovery.
Jude must decide whether to follow in the footsteps of his father, and study medicine – and put an end to his somewhat bohemian lifestyle of renovating houses. Sabrina learns to step beyond her somewhat conservative upbringing and taste forbidden pleasures. Q’s dark past casts a shadow on her future happiness.
If you thought a couple had its complications, try a threesome – but this combination also tantalises the senses, and Jude, Sabrina and Q create a beautiful dynamic as they explore the boundaries of their relationship. Their interaction is an absolute treat to experience, and this is tempered also by a touching romantic subplot. The ladies have paid attention to detail to their setting and the support characters – and these small details help to cast their world into three dimensions.
I must make mention of the dialogue, and the instances where the characters to-and-fro comments made me smile. Another added quirk was Sabrina’s obsession with paranormal investigating, which added a fun, light-hearted angle, especially in the séance scene. I almost wanted there to be more of a mystery theme to the story, and further development of a narrative, but that would have driven this into the realms of a doorstopper, and not the hot, tasty bite this novel is.
The Dom with a Safeword is a sweet yet kinky read, and if this sort of stuff blows your hair back then I recommend this title whole-heartedly. Scorching hot at times, yet with a gentle touch. Perhaps what I appreciated about the novel in its totality is that the ladies kept it real. Jude, Sabrina and Q could be that curious trio living next door to you, while you had absolutely no idea what goes on behind closed doors. -
Though I started out frowning about the premise, I absolutely loved this book. I've read a lot of BDSM erotica over the years, but few of them have managed to make me both laugh and cry. The thing is: I'm not a big fan of Silverwood's writing. So I did not expect much from this novel. And boy did it surprise me.
The characters are likeable and believable, the BDSM scenes are hot, and the paranormal elements would satisfy both believers and non-believers. But this novel manages to do much more. There's warnings about different kinds of "bad Doms," and it talks about in-community protection as well as stereotyping and discriminating (against bratty switches, for example). Also: fear of repercussions in the vanilla world when it comes to both triads and BDSM relationships plays a huge role in this novel, making the obstacles to true love more than just a simple romcom plotdevice. For anyone who has experienced this type of relationship, or anyone who considers or fantasizes about it, these are real concerns that are hardly ever addressed in this way.
The ideas Q, Jude and Sabrina start this relationship with are problematic though (using a man to "turn" a straight girl? Using a woman she trusts so you can play with an inexperienced sub? Flirting with and teasing your best friend/roommate who has been in love with you for five years even though you have no intention of going against your Catholic family? Frowns all around). BUT, the frowns disappeared pretty quickly. Though the dangers of these motivations are never actually addressed, the motivations seem to vanish as soon as the kinky fun starts (also: more than just kinky fuckery and more than a focus on the penis and orgasms. Yay!). And trust me, consensual fun was had by all. Fun of both the naughty and nice kinds.

This book hit me at a great 4.5 stars. I rounded up for Goodreads scale.
Are your batteries charged ladies? Seriously. It was that hot. I haven't found a book with F/f scenes that rang as true to me as this one did in awhile.
We are told this story by the three members of our trio. The POV jumps from person to person, allowing us inside each of their heads. This has the making of a really disjointed novel, but I gotta say, I was rapt. I could not believe there were three authors here. The voice and pace flowed beautifully.
There is a scene that might be a trigger for abuse victims involving piercing and a Dom not obeying a safeword. So anybody that triggers to that...here's your warning.
This was just what I was needing to get back into the swing of things reading-wise. I was sneaking reading time in wherever I could, and I loved every stolen moment.
We get F/f, M/f, and M/F/f. Every scene had it's own brand of naughty that brought our characters closer together, and the story told us a world that they couldn't not be together in.
The reason this wasn't a COMPLETE home run for me involved the wrap up. I wanted to see more of Sabrina interacting with her family regarding her decision, and I think the way we had the ending with "3 months later" in there, it would have been nice to see that play out a bit. Maybe that's coming in a sequel? (HINT HINT *cough* HINT HINT)
I also wanted to see Niko get his payback, more so than a threat and a spraypainted car. Seems like the bastard was really determined and I wanted to know where he went off to.
The ending drew me out a bit with the gaps in time, but I understood why it was done, and it let us get a more complete story.
All in all, this was a HOT story, and made me remember why I love M/f/f. Adding in the BDSM threw the tale into scorching. Highly recommend. -
The story revolves around Jude-the Dom and his submissives Q and Sabrina (Q also is a Domme to Sabrina). They meet Jude during a ghost hunt and gradually get to know each other and eventually they all agree to a summer relationship.
Jude cannot say no to dominating such bratty subs, he takes on the challenge and boy does he have his hands full. He cannot believe some of the comments they throw his way, so of course he has to find ways to punish those infractions that will end up pleasing at least one of them…mainly him.
I had such a good time reading their interactions, I giggled, I outright laughed and...I also cried. You could tell the great friendship between Q and Sabrina, they really care about each and Jude ends up completing that friendship, in only a way a Dom can. What is going to happen after the summer ends, does Sabrina find a ghost…pick up a copy to find out yourself. -
This was good fun, as an MFF with a good amount of BDSM thrown in. The characters had interesting personalities, and their relationship developed naturally - well, if you consider tied up and spanked natural... Plus, there is a nice introduction to bondage and submission, with the Dom being a really nice guy, so he's not too scary. I wished that he would really react to all the sassy backtalk and really be dominant for one scene.
Each of the main characters gets a turn to drive the story, which worked well. My only complaint here is that the authors seemed to turn away from the internal feelings, especially with Sabrina. It's her POV when she gets her first real spanking, but she never describes how it feels. Q's anguish was much deeper and was brought out nicely.
The ending is a bit typical, but it worked. -
What do you get when you have a ghost hunter and her best friend trying to investigate a haunted house, only to find a hunky guy in residence instead? You get a threesome that will have you reaching for the ice water and going back for more.
The dynamics of this book are stellar. You have a Q who is a rebel with a questionable cause, Sabrina the girlie girl who is questioning her sexuality and Jude, the Dom who is about to leave for med school. There are some very intense scenes with Q and Sabrina that will have f/f enthusiasts thrilled. The three of them together in a menage is hot enough to fry an e-book page. Add in some paranormal activity and you have yourself a story that will keep you up nights. Excellent read! -
I enjoyed this book more than I thought I would. I'm not into menage at all but I thought I'd give it a chance and I'm glad I did! I absolutely adored Q's character... I related to her from everything to attitude, physical appearance, and likes/dislikes. I would love a spinoff or another book with her in it!! I thought the relationship between the three was very realistic and believable as well as the sex...I wasn't rolling my eyes like I normally do reading romance books. The only complaint I have was Q always calling Sabrina "little girl" and "woman" ...it was just irritating.
"Be gentle, little girl. I'm not a conquest. You already won me." AWWW-my favorite quote. -
I love love loved this book.....It is one of the hottest books i have read in a while, The dynamic between Jude the Dom, Q the Domme/ Switch and Sabrina who will their help discovers her Bi/ sub side, works really well.....There a is lot of Hot scenes but it is the love that develops between the three that also keeps you hooked , also the cheeky side of the two bratty subs is fun to read..If you are a lover of BDSM books then i would recommend this as a must read.....

This book starts out slow but once it heats up I really liked it I wish would gotten why Q was the she ways

These three authors: Cari Silverwood, Leia Shaw, and Sorcha Black, are a forced to be reckoned with! I can't begin to tell you how happy this book made me. The Dom with a Safeword is one of my favorite books that I have read this year.
As a HUGE fan of the TV show GhostHunters, you can see why Sabrina instantly became my favorite character. When Sabrina and Q find the perfect house to start their ghost hunt, they find that it's occupied by a gorgeous, sexy man who is too beautiful to be a ghost. Jude is just staying here for the summer before he has to go back to a life that was planned for him. Who knew that the two beautiful trespassors would end up making his summer complete.
Q, or brat #1, is a tough smartass bi-switch, who has been in love with her best friend Sabrina for a long time. Q is no stranger to the BDSM scene. She craves pain as a release and she was let go by her previous Dom because she was too much to handle. Sabrina, or brat #2, had a very conservative upbringing. She doesn't know what to do with the feelings she develops for her best friend. I mean, she is straight....right? She handles it the best way she can by shooting off her mouth and being a tease. Jude is a Dom that wants to spend a summer doing what he loves, fixing up houses, before he has to go back in to the real world and follow in his father's footsteps.
It wasn't hard to love these three characters. The authors gave us an in depth look in to each of there lives, telling us their history and sharing with us their hopes for the future, as well as bringing up their demons. When you know so much about a character, it's easy to relate with them, and then it becomes impossible not to cheer them on, and hope they find happiness with one another. You always wonder how a story written by three different people would fit together so nicely, but it does. I never once was confused with the story line or the dynamics of the characters. Well done ladies!
The Dom with a Safeword is a fun, emotional, kinky read that will leave you grinning from ear to ear, and maybe blushing a little as well. This was my very first F/F, M/FF Menage read and I absolutely loved it. The sex scenes were extremely hot, and yet at times very gentle and tender. Jude is the perfect Dom in my book. How can he not be? When he wanted to brush both the girl's hair, oh my god, can you say "SWOON." You could tell that he really cared for these two brats, even though they drive him to call out his very own safeword. I smiled, laughed, cried, and I must admit, got a little angry, but all in all this story and these characters warmed my heart. Have you ever read a book where you know what's going to happen, and you prepare yourself for the worst....but when it happens a little piece of you wished you were going to be wrong? That happened twice to me in this story. I love it when a story can make you feel SO much, even if it breaks your heart a little, beacause you know, you just know that everything will turn out just fine.

I absolutely loved this book!
The Dom with a Safeword was a really fun, sexy, emotional and HOT read! Q is very blunt, crass and bi, mostly for her best friend Sabrina. When they run into Jude, a gorgeous and kinky Dom, while on an amateur, and non-sanctioned, ghost hunt Q learns that Sabrina is very submissive.
While she knows Sabrina has always done what she said, she has never really pushed it, trying to hide her attraction from Sabrina who is says she is very straight.
When Jude invites them back to his house for a ghost hunt it is not long before he find both woman had found his kinky closet while he was gone. But he realizes his instincts about the two might be right on the money when a demonstration leads to a sizzling display of Sabrina’s submissiveness and Q and Sabrina’s attraction to each other, and Sabrina’s submissiveness.
This is Jude’s last summer free before he has to follow in his family’s footsteps and go to med school, a perfect summer for a no-strings-attached-fling with Q and Sabrina.
After the deal is made the story really kick’s into high gear as they learn about each other inside and outside of the bedroom.
Q is a brat switch, she can submit but it takes a fight to get her to; which she loves the most. She also loves domming Sabrina.
Two Dom’s one sub, two sub’s one Dom. The relationship is very complex but they all fit together so seamlessly that the relationship is pretty much perfect from the start.
Sabrina is new to kink and feeling her way but she is a natural submissive and brat (though not in the league of Q’s battiness) she comes from a family who would never accept her relationship with another woman. So she fights her attraction to Q, but when she was offered the no-strings summer fling to experiment with Q and Jude, with the promise of Q and her still being friends after the summer is over, she agreed pretty quickly.
It is not long before all three of them are falling for each other and the summer is coming to an end. Will things go back to normal? Will Jude be able to leave for med school?
OMG! I must have more of these three characters! I love Q, Jude and Sabrina! They are perfect for each other and one book is just not enough. I hope there is going to be a follow up book. I would love to see how the relationship is growing and how Sabrina is going to deal with her family, etc.
I HIGHLY recommend this book to anyone who is interested in BDSM romance and looking for a fast paced sizzling read. The Dom with a Safeword is definitely a keeper!
*I received a hardcover/paperback/eBook copy/ARC of this book for free to review from the author/publisher/tour site; this in no way influenced my review, all opinions are 100% honest and my own. -
This was my first F/F/M menage book. I can't quite put my finger on what was missing but it was missing something. Maybe it's that I wasn't attracted to any of the characters-not sure exactly. Theoretically, the D/s was impressive, all things that normally get my motor running but it just lacked something for me. Sabrina is your typical ditzy blonde who's main concerns are about fashion & how her hair looks; she does have a thing for ghosts but even that didn't interest me. Q is a goth kid from born of an abusive past with all the typical bells & whistles namely a penchant for reckless coping skills that I'm assuming at some point led her to BDSM. Jude is… hmmmm how to describe him… meh? Parsley? I appreciate his ability to dominate these two brats & his sense of humor but he just did nothing for me. I think all the characters were never fully realized, they just stayed two dimensional rather than becoming three dimensional. Maybe… hell, I don't know! I didn't connect, that's all I'm saying.
Jude's in town remodeling a house for the summer before he enters medical school which he is loathe to do but feels it's his duty to carry on the family tradition. One night he finds these two in his yard trying to investigate paranormal activity at the house. Shortly thereafter they decide to give the triad a go for the summer. Q is thrilled because she's been in love with Sabrina forever. Q's also got a dominant side. I wouldn't call her a switch per se but she definitely has the ability to dominate Sabrina. Q is surprised by her almost immediate response to Jude's dominance as he seems to instinctually know that she needs it rough & likes pain. A lot. Sabrina is just exploring her sexuality but comes from a rather repressed family that would not respond well to her being gay or bi for that matter. Nevertheless, they all agree to give this thing a go for 3 months under the guise that they'll go back to their "regular" lives afterwards. Yeah right… cause that always works.
