I know I’m a Daddy’s girl. My family is oddly close, except for my kooky Aunt Betsy, whom I’ve only met a few times. She did a crystal reading on my 16th birthday, telling me that I’d fall in love with a wildly improbable man with a bent little finger, and green and gold eyes. Imagine my shock when her prediction came true! But I can’t let myself fall in love with Mason – he’s Dad’s boss and 14 years older. He’s cold but brilliant. Beautiful, but... I’m not the right woman for him.No matter that he seems instantly obsessed, and makes me his intern so that I’ll stay close. No matter that prickling sparks run up my spine every time he touches me. No amount of lust is worth risking Dad’s promotion... is it?*This steamy light romance is filled with feel-good moments, some heat, and of course, a HEA.

Mason is the CEO of a research company. His dedication to his business has brought him a lot of success but recently his business has been losing clients. When he asks why they didn't go with his company, he was told he was too cold. Mason is at a loss how to fix that. He was dedicated to precision and attention to detail. Mason is very business like but doesn't know how to smooze. Mason hired someone to coach him to be a better presenter but it was still a struggle. Mason has some other quirks like being a coffee fanatic. Then one day Mason runs into one of his long-time employees and his teenage daughter who just graduated from high school. Mason falls instantly for Emily and for the first time ever he is easily smiling around people. Mason decides to offer Emily an internship to keep her close and to help him come across as a warmer person. He wants to make Emily his.
Emily loves to do research like her dad. One day he took her to his office and she saw the CEO and was instantly attracted to him. She also noticed something else very important. Her Aunt Betsy had a vision of the man Emily would fall in love with. The features she mentioned that Emily's love would have is extremely focused, bent little finger on left hand, green and gold eyes, obsessed with coffee and cold with everyone but her. Her dad's boss Mason fits her Aunt Betsy's vision so when Emily is offered an internship, she accepts. She wants to see if Aunt Betsy vision will come true.

The couple: Mason and Emily
Romance trope: age gap; office romance; insta-love
Series: Billionaires
Length: 68 pages
Plot: Mason is a focused, driven businessman, and Emily is the daughter of one of his employees. When he meets her, he is instantly attracted and spends all of his spare time with her. But when he finds out she might not be as logical and sane as he thought, how will he react?
Commentary: So Mason is the one person in the entire world who either doesn't believe in or laugh off psychics/fortunetellers. I don't believe in psychics, but I don't generally get mad (unless they're scamming people out of money, which I could tell you stories about, but I digress.). I still don't understand why he was so quick to believe that Emily - sweet and naive - was somehow scheming to get into a relationship based on a prediction that her aunt made several years prior. His reaction did not make sense (without some trauma in his past via a psychic or medium). I was really mad at him for treating her like that, and he was lucky (although I don't think she was - she deserved better - money isn't everything) that she forgave him so quickly. This entry in the series was less sweet than the others, based on Mason's actions.
Next book in the series:
Daddy’s Billionaire Doctor -
The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with! By the time you’ve figured out who is who and who to like and dislike, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Emily and Mason were great it was push and pull always with the two of them. Emily wasn’t just going to be a push over like he assumed although Mason was loving, kind and sweet and oh so protective of her from the moment they meet they are drawn to each other. Will it or can it last seeing that he is her father’s boss and oh so much older than her, will the aunt’s prediction come true and is there a HEA for the two of them? -
I loved this story. It was entertaining and enjoyable with only a little angst that gets resolved quickly. The characters were interesting and likable. The way that Emily stood up to Mason and told him like it was, was pretty awesome. Mason's reaction to her standing up to him and telling him like it was had me smiling through most of the story. Mason was focused, attentive, and protective of Emily. He was a total sweetheart. I loved how he acted with Emily. Emily was sweet and focused as well. From the minute she sees Mason she is drawn to him. Mason was drawn to Emily. Together they had some major instalove going on. Mason was all-in. He made sure that he told Emily how he felt about her. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

This was a little boring and Mason's behavior didn't make much sense to me. He was supposed to be cold and detached. It was strange to me how willing he was to change and how quickly he managed to do that. I guess I can understand him being like that with Emily; she was supposed to be his 'one', but he was so willing to be nice and polite to everyone and it came so easily to him. I'd expect him to need some pushing and convincing to even entertain the idea of changing, considering he's over 40 and is pretty successful. It's also strange that his clients and employees didn't mind his behavior before, but now, all of a sudden, they need him to change.
With all that said, I did like the writing and I'll probably try another book by this author. -
I really enjoyed Daddy’s Billionaire Boss by Haley Travis. It was well written and the chemistry between Mason and Emily was sizzling hot. When Emily first meets Mason, her dad's boss, she is blown away. After all her aunt predicted the man of her dreams would have certain qualities and Mason definitely has those qualities. Mason knows immediately that Emily is the woman for him and he is determined to prove they belong together. 5 stars!

The connection between Emily and Mason was written well, as was how they completed each other. I enjoyed their interactions and how open they were with each other, it was fun to see his staff's reactions to the changes. I liked the respect Mason and her father showed each other and how neither Mason or Emily walked away when things got tough.

Wow. This is the longest book I've read by Ms. Travis and it was great! Such a beautifully written love story. The characters are passionate and tender with one another. Mason is the CEO and owner of the company. Emily us the daughter of one of his employees. He devised a plan to make her his intern and it turned out to be a perfect fit. Their attraction was was immediate and all-consuming. They complimented each other perfectly. A tender story about a insta-love romance.

This book was good and the storyline flowed throughout the book and will have you hooked from the beginning until the end
Emily's father works for Mason and he takes her a tour but when they meet for the first time sparks fly between them but is age a factor or her father working for him? Or will Mason think crystal ball is a joke? Its a good story.

Opposites ~
I enjoyed reading this story. He was cold, brisk, business only. She was light, life and love. Together they didn’t really make sense, so when he lost his temper over a silly thing, it was expected. What was unexpected was how well they balanced each other out with their love. Loved their epilogue. -
fun, over the top insta-love that you can't help loving. The writing is so engaging that I was smiling my way through it. I must admit I adored the slight bit of other-worldliness to their romance with the aunt's predictions.

I wasn't sure how I felt when I began this book, but it quickly caught my attention, and the author kept me hooked throughout the entire book! And I absolutely adored the age gap between the characters.
Highly recommend. 5 stars. HEA. -

If I could give it zero stars I would! It’s literally one of the worse books I’ve ever read. There’s no redeeming qualities at all it’s just shit and disgustingly cringe
