Excellent Fun and Educational Word Search Book
I was a huge fan of word searches when I was a child. In fact, I was doing puzzles meant for adults when I was in the age range suggested for this word search book. I would have found some puzzles here far too easy, but most of them fun. The author splits the puzzles into three levels, the first one has 10 words to find, the second level 14, and the third level 19. Each puzzle is themed. Some are just fun ones, like Chip Bags or Sushi Bar, but others are more academic (e.g., grammar words) or would be on a topic that might inspire the child to do more internet research, like Learn about Buddhism or Little Birds. I don't think I've ever seen a children's word search book that was at least in some part educational yet in a totally fun way. Some words, too, will add to a child's vocabulary. I like the way the author formats the answer pages. Each puzzle solution shows the words circled. Too many word search books just show the letters used in the words (the other spaces on the letter grid remaining blank), with no line or circle to show the actual words; sometimes it is hard to distinguish them! Not in this book, thankfully. If you have a child who loves word searches as I did back in the day, she or he would most likely enjoy this book.

What can you say about books which contain puzzles? Being a senior citizen, I love doing word searches to keep my mental acuity alert and active. However, since this book has gotten compiled for children between the ages of 8 – 12, I need to look at it from the POV [point of view] from my inner-child.
Being a child, I found this book and the many word searches it has to do to be a lot of fun to finish. Learning how to read is fun, and recognizing words spelled backward or written at an angle helps me increase my visual acuity. The searches are like a game that increases how hard it is to find all of the words listed. I can see myself spending hours having fun doing them. The only problem is I will have nothing to do once I finish doing all of them.
While the book has the answers to each word, search and looking at them will be like cheating, so I won’t; but, I will give this book 5 STARS. -
Its a informal way for your child to improve his/ her vocabulary. Its well categorised and increases in difficulty. Smartly done with the space between the letter has reduced considerably as well as the number of words to be found were more. A single book that caters to children from 8-12and can be used by both the older and younger sibling simultaneously.

Kids are going to have fun working puzzles. Hours of fun and many choices of puzzles. Good practice to learn words and help with spelling and vocabulary.

-This was such a fun word search book. Sure it is for kids ages 8-12 but I have to say that I really enjoyed doing these puzzles. I did a few out of each level so that I could see how they progressed. I have to say that I was really impressed with how they just went from fairly easy to a little harder to the hardest. Perfect for children of the age range suggested. I have to say that I think kids a little younger and older could enjoy them also. These are great to just help you pass the time during the day or while you are in the car going place or if you are taking a trip in the car and need something to help keep the kids busy so they don't get too crazy...LOL
