Super Fun How to Draw Book for Kids

What a fantastic how-to-draw book for children! Like the subtitle says, it has lots of “cute things” to draw, from animals to foods (imagine a smiling noodle bowl or juice box) to fantasy creatures to objects. Six steps take you from the first squiggle to the finished image. Each image, even the last step, is relatively simple, and each step has only a few lines or squiggles to draw. I consider myself to be artistically challenged, but even I can do this book! The images are relatively simple, but most are still cute with enough detail so that you know precisely what they are. I liked that the author provided brief instructions in the front that even included an idea for what to do if you find a particular step difficult. That suggestion could even help a child who doesn't consider herself or himself to be a good drawer, and it would allow them to practice tracing skills; it would even be a fun alternative activity for those who are artistically inclined. If you have a budding artist living in your home, this book may be a great idea to help her or him learn how to draw simple but well-done drawings.

I received a free copy of this book, but that did not affect my review.

I received a PDF.file copy of this book and the following is my inner-child’s honest opinion.

Like all other children, I want to draw different things so my mother could tape what I did on the refrigerator so everyone else could see what I did. What I did came from my imagination and never looked like they should,

I loved copying the easy step-by-step things to do to complete the finished drawing, because it was teaching me what to do in a way that I could understand. Once I drew the thing I was copying, I made several of them, until I could do it without looking at what I needed to do. I then used my imagination to draw them in a different fun manner, and I love seeing what I did. I then would color the drawings using different crayons.

I would then take the different things I was learning to draw and put them into one picture. The more I drew the items in the book, the better I became.

For teaching me how to draw different things, I am giving this book and the person who has taught me how to draw 5 STARS. It is a book I want like to see other children drawing things better than they could before.

This is a how-to-draw for a kid&'s book. I thought it was great. Even us adults that can't draw can use this book and learn how to draw. The step-by-step directions really help to make these directions on how to draw so much easier. Makes this a great book. I think the only thing I would have loved to see is a final picture of the final animal all drawn out. I understand they are trying to not use too many pages and get all the step-by-step drawings on one page so it was harder to do that but I would have liked to see the final drawing of the animal anyway. Other than that this was a great book.

I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

My kids loved trying out the different drawings. The directions were easy to understand and follow. I would recommend this book for the beginner artist in your family.
