Her Holiday Secret Reviews

I enjoyed HER HOLIDAY SECRET by Jolene Navarro very much. There's more depth than in a lot of LI romances. Lots of relational drama, culture, and emotion. Spiritual themes involve pride vs. letting go and trusting God completely. Forgiveness and the blending of two families separated by cultural and social status would be difficult to overcome, and the author handled this very well, in a way that captures the reader's heart. I couldn't help but think of the Scripture reference that "a little child shall lead them," for 5-yr-old Willa did indeed show the way for two families.

There were also some memorable scenes, such as Cat teaching dance routines to the family at Thanksgiving, Christmas decorating, and the Snowball Christmas dance. I look forward to more stories by Jolene Navarro.

Within the Love Inspired genre, 5 stars.

This is a heartwarming story of pride, faith, and forgiveness. Catalina Wimberly left the ranch several years ago to protect her childhood love, Andreas Sanchez. Now she is back with a young daughter, a child Andreas doesn’t know he has. Can the Sanchez and Wimberly families get along for young Willa’s sake?

I really enjoyed this clean romance. I bought this at a local store and I voluntarily chose to review this story. I've given it a 5* rating. This poked at my heart strings a bit and kept me turning the pages. These two were once, school time friends and made some bad decisions. The family dynamics pushed at them also. Can they work through this or not? I liked the ending a lot.

I’m a huge fan of Jolene’s so I was thrilled to get the chance to read this story. Catalina left home as a teen & came back to town so many years later with a secret - a baby secret! Andres is obviously shocked to learn he’s a father & as their love begins to rebloom, life tosses them another curveball…can their faith guide their broken hearts back together again or tear them apart for good?

One of the many reasons I love Jolene’s storytelling is the beautiful family dynamics that blossom within her stories. There’s a Christmas tree decorating scene - oh my heart yearns for those amazing memories & I get to live vicariously in the book.

I truly loved this story. It’s a beautiful holiday story that reminds you of the true power of the season…& reminds us that love, your family, is the greatest gift of all.

I don't always like the trope of woman comes back home with their child. They are always surprised when the father of the child would want to be in their life.

Catalina left home as a pregnant teenager trying to protect her childhood sweetheart, Andres. She comes back home 6 years later to tell Andres that he's a father. Andres desperately wants to be a part of his daughter's life. They both realize that they still love each other and get married. A great story about love and forgiveness.

Two families come together, while their children reunite. It was interesting how the author brought all the people together.
