More Anger…
Another great story of Jimmy Hsu. A boy who lives in the town of Anger. Jimmy wants to search for a ghost so he asks an old neighbor for help.
Old Mr. Arnesti doesn’t have the best smell, but his house is shielded with the best protection against ghosts, demons and vampires.
They gather the weapons they will need and set out for the haunted Rose Hall. But although they came looking for a ghost, an ugly witch is what they find.
Ron Ripley tells another wonderful story about Jimmy Hsu, the little boy with a bit of autism who’s also a savant.
The other stories are wonderful, too, but this one is my favorite, again. -
Latest in an unfailingly good series, a delight to the horror mind. I have a couple of favorites especially in this collection, both of which amply demonstrate that fine narrow line which divides human insanity (or the descent into same) from Supernatural terror. Don't get me wrong, I adore these two seemingly disparate modes of Horror; but when a story elicits the question "Is This a Supernatural event? Or is this character seemingly going insane? Or is it both?" That's the best, for me! I give you in particular "Black Mold" (gotta have my Fungus Horror fix) and "In Rose Hall."
Come on, horror goodies for everyone to be found right here! -

A Great Series Of Books
This whole collection of books is very good. I have yet to run into a story that disappointed me. I find that I really like the Jimmy Hsu stories; I hope I run into more of them. -
This series is an excellent way to showcase authors new to Scare Street, and to this reader, and this batch of stories ranks right up there with the best. Frights can be generated from lots of different things, not just the traditional ghosts, monsters and the like. I am always amazed at the level of talent these writers possess.
If you have never read any of Scare Street's offerings, do yourself a favor and do it. You won't regret it. -
No bad stories here, only good ones. And a few excellent ones.
