Terror in the Shadows Vol. 12: Horror Short Stories Collection with Scary Ghosts, Paranormal Supernatural Monsters Reviews
-
The newest collection of eleven short stories from various Scare Street authors, never to be read at night!
"Karen": The female of the species...is far deadlier...
"Caskets": Might seem odd to find love and compassion in a ghost story, but deep amidst the gore, it is present. Oddly heartwarming.
"St. Anne's Episcopal Church": Truly imaginative horror! SO SCARY!
"Song of the Mountain":. Horror so implacable! So otherworldly! I'm afraid to turn out the lights!
"The Zodiac Of Death": well-constructed in its framework, but sad. Nobody really wins.
"Holly Jolly Farm": tremendous terror here! Such implacability! I'll fear Christmas trees for evermore!
"Seed Money": Some people are just fools. Well-meaning, but don't consider consequences. But then, what's the sense in grave-robbing anyway?
"What Lives In the Deep": I adore Marine Horror; it's almost unfailingly implacable. This story is a fine example.
"The Beautiful Ones": If it's too good to be true...Beware the Aliens.
"Hobbyist": An arsonist who burns for pleasure fixates on an old Victorian that is far more than a long-abandoned dusty residence.
"The Bottle": Beware what looks good because inevitably the consequences are drastic. -
