Absolutely loved this book. Highly recommend. I listened to the audiobook first (read by the author and it is EXCELLENT), then followed up with the written copy because I loved it so much. There is so much to take away from this book. Her authenticity shines through - she is open and brave and you will find yourself in these pages. I came away with so many insights, strategies, as well as just a general feeling of being seen/heard/not alone in this world. I laughed out loud, cried, nodded my head in agreement, exclaimed, etc. while reading this book- repeatedly ;) I had read her previous book about Denmark and really enjoyed her "voice" -she is funny, real and relatable. This book is different from that one, but still her voice shines through. I also found this book to be quite a "cozy" read actually - just when I was feeling isolated and overwhelmed during yet another covid lockdown and a very stressful time at work, this book about being sad was exactly what I needed to soothe my nervous system :)
