I received this book through a goodreads giveaway! This was this author's first book, and although the story was charming, the writing did seem simplified. Also, this is definitely a book where the ending really feels like the end of the exposition, and you don't really understand the entire story and motivation until the book ends. I think my biggest critique is that for a book that was written in a way I believe was for younger readers, there were some advanced romantic and serious topics covered (sorry that's the best I can do without spoiling). I hope this author continues to write, because I did really think the story was a very original concept, and I am excited to see her improve and expand her work. -
