Darina isn't magical, or special, but she feels a kinship to the people of Westboro. Maeleigh's instincts are telling her to keep the new girl close, even while they search for the remaining members of the Cearer, who disappeared in the magical vampire attack months earlier and try to make contact with her mother, the Goddess Danu, again. Things will get sticky and lives will be at stake when someone tresspasses on their territory. Will the pack be enough to withstand the threat? Or will more lives be lost?
Bounty (Aftermath #2) Reviews
-
I was lucky enough to read an early draft of the next book in the Aftermath series, and it picks up only a short while after the last book. With an intriguing new character - complete with her own set of issues - and the problems that have been building for Maeleigh and her pack since Truce, the story is an interesting mix of healing, problem-solving and finding your place in a family of your own making.
This is by no means a standalone - book one should be read first, and the trilogy prior (The Hunt series) does introduce the characters and plot that we're seeing now, so it's worth looking into before diving into this one.
This was definitely an enjoyable continuation of the world Alainna Macpherson has built. -
You need to read book 1 called Truce before reading Bounty to get the full scope of the story. Bounty is a great sophomore read in an action packed, drama, romance series. Job well done Alainna!

Truly this second book in this series intrigued me beyond infatuation and am hoping to continue with this author and series as one of my now favorites.
