The death of friendship: A Cyprus memoir Reviews
-
Poorly written as though bashed out quickly on a keyboard, this memoir veers off course on several occasions wandering about without cohesion. An unfortunate spelling error on the cover removes the letter 'o' from 'country'.
-
Distortion of the truth, one-sided, biased and disrespectful. Just Turkish propaganda, full of hate.

As others have said, this is not a great literary work. It is a sincere memoir written by an elderly Turkish Cypriot woman about her experiences during a violent period in the history of Cyprus and is a useful contribution to that history. Many of the experiences she relates are shocking but I think are accurate.
