Times are challenging right now and getting more complicated with unemployment, sheltering in, and fear. How can you live a smaller, more humble, affordable life and still thrive and live in abundance? What is true abundance? True wealth? This is our life that we have whittled down to what is most essential and valuable to us. We live well on little. We have built our wealth over time in a humble manner with very little income. Let me share just a part of our home and life to inspire you.

Small Budget Home: Living Small And Thriving Big Reviews

    Quick read

Reads like a series of unedited journal entries... but in a good way. The lack of structure keeps it honest and real as the author shares her ideas on frugality and experiences with saving money in her day to day life. Her decisions seem extreme (and not things I would do) but set up their life as they wanted. The major takeaway for me is to consider what I would live without in an effort to save money.

    Slice of life

Interesting slice of life. I thought it would be more about managing the space itself. It's about the authors gratitude and view of her habits. And a detailed account of those habits. The key? "Putting away the first paycheck each month." An interesting account. I'll look for her YouTube channel. If you have a similar family structure the advice might be applicable. If you don't I'd categorize this as memoir.

    Kate's best book yet

I think I have all of Kate's books and they keep getting better. Kate writes like she is sitting in your kitchen telling you how to live a creative and resourceful life. I feel like I have had a nice trip to California for a visit with her.

I can't recommend this book more. If you take any of her advice it will pay for itself.

Some of it is practical and helpful advice, some of it is admirable if unrealistic, but overall it is a useful and inspiring example of one way to minimize and live a fulfilling life.
