The Kiss that Saved Christmas Reviews

You'll love Claire and Zach's story. Fate brings two people together. Both have heartbreaks in their past and are trying to move forward. Do they give each other the strength and love they each need? A sweet, Christian romance that will warm your soul. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review it.

My Review: I received a complimentary copy of this book from Pump Up Your Book. The following is my honest review and opinion. Phew! This was a lot more book than I was expecting! Definitely an emotional tale that had me crying within the first few pages. It was a much heavier book than I was expecting for a Christmas story, there is a lot of dark emotions throughout the story and the characters go through a lot of internal turmoil. It was pretty slow moving, so if you are looking for a quick little romance, this may not be the book for you right now, but if you want a book you can completely immerse yourself in and get all the feels, definitely pick it up! I enjoyed the characters, Claire was such an emotionally loyal person and has a strength to her, it was great to see her slowly emerge from her walled in fortress. Zach was everything you could want in a hero, strong, loyal, helpful, honest, and so much more; I have to admit that I fell in love with him right away! This story also had some great side character, I absolutely loved Zach's family and want so much more of them! All in all, it was a bit slow moving and full of emotional punches but worth the time and heartaches.

SUMMARY
I received The Kiss that Saved Christmas as an advanced reader copy in exchange for my honest review. Claire is grieving for her husband who lost his life in the service. She tries her best to go on without him, while still making his dream come true. Her business, Briar Ridge Venue and Conference, is in trouble due to money issues and a lack of good help. Claire interviews and hires Zach, a former military man with a checkered past, because she is desperate and his resume is the only response to her ad. They work together to keep Briar Ridge open while dealing with the pain of their pasts.

This was a very touching, lovely story. It had so many different parts of love, life, loss, sorrow, forgiving and living. Claire is having a hard time letting go of her husband’s passing and Zack is trying to get his bad boy reputation back with a lot of hurt from the past with him. They met and both are just living day by day. After working together, they start to get their lives back. This is a sweet, Chrisitian romance that really moves you and starts you believing in the miracle of Christmas.

This is a wonderful, heart-warming holiday romance. I received an ARC of this book, and flew through the story. I didn't want to put it down. It's an easy read with a touching romance in a beautiful setting. The characters are fun, especially as they start to open up to each other and we get to see the sides they've been hiding from the world. I'd recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean Christmas romance.

I absolutely loved this heartwarming Christmas romance. Claire lost her husband, Stanly, two years ago and she’s barely surviving. Zach is a former Marine and he’s still dealing with mistakes from his youth to this day. When Claire hires him as her assistant at Briar Ridge, will they breach other’s saving grace. I’m not going to leave any spoilers, but if you enjoy a terrific story, then you won’t be disappointed with this book.

Grief is hard to get over and sometimes you think you never will. But all I it might take is meeting someone who needs you as much as you need them. -

I received this as an ARC for my honest opinion.
Oh wow! Ms. Strife had all the feels in this story and it made for an excellent clean Christmas story. The heartbreak and loss that Claire suffered is hard to overcome, but she slowly does with Zach's help. And the judgmental looks and talks of Zach's misspent youth is never overlooked from the town until one eventful day. It's so wonderful to see two people lost and alone slowly find a new purpose and life with each other.
