What the actual fuck was that? Seriously, you have got to be kidding me.
The lack of development, the insane white savior complex of Luca and Aria — at some point you gotta stop hiding yourself with half-assed lies and just admit that you don't care about the other characters and that you just write about them to please your readers — and the downright DISRESPECT displayed all over the anthology?
I still had hopes that Matteo and Gianna's novella and Romero and Lily's short story would be somehow good or at least heart-warming, but this was just a clusterfuck.
I would state my points more clearly if I wasn't so fucking angry.
I mean, do your readers look like stupid people? Honestly that's how I feel everytime that the author thinks that we won't notice the lack of professionalism and fair commitment. Am I being brutal? Perhaps. But for the love of God, I AM TIRED ! OF ! THIS ! CIRCUS !
Do yourself a big favor and don't read this. I mean it, don't go anywhere near this... thing. Such a waste of time.
P.S.: The one star is pretty much because at some point Matteo punched Luca's ugly face.
P.P.S.: The author could bother to search better names for the next generation. I'm so sorry for the kids really. -
4 stars
This is a collection of short stories meant to give us another glimpse into the future of some couples that we’ve read of in the Born in Blood series.
I believe the author has mentioned that this will be the last time she writes about these characters because her next series will be focused on the next generation and other standalones will tackle side characters we have met along the way.
I believe this was a very nice way to sort of end a chapter and open the way for the future books. Considering that a lot of kids were mentioned, we can expect them to be paired up for future books and tbh, I love making correlations and speculations about who will be with whom and how things will change.
Every short story included follows the same recipe of being sweet and steamy while suggesting a happy ending and how each couple evolved to that point.
The only exception is Gianna and Matteo’s story which is longer and it deals with a certain issue (which I won’t divulge because it would be a spoiler). I loved how Cora managed the situation and how everything was handled.
Every couple got their version of happy ending but this statement is even truer for Gianna and Matteo, they stayed honest to their personality, their needs and their wants. They are perhaps the best representation of an actual couple with the ups and downs and with the way they accept each other for who they are. Gianna is unapologetically Gianna lol, and I see her honesty and her passion to stay true to herself as refreshing. Her character is one that doesn't have that many fans because she doesn't conform, she doesn't live by anyone else's standards, she makes no apologies for it and I LOVE IT. She is just very real in my opinion.
So yeah, I wanna reiterate how glad I am that Cora included this story and how she handled it. -
Re-read and Upgraded to 4 Stars

After reading this again, I am reminded how much I just love this world and these characters. I really enjoyed the snippets from everyone's life, especially Cara and Ryan's. I could give a shit about the Stella/Mauro story line. Their story felt unfinished anyway. I'm just here for my favorites.
Original Review
I enjoyed this because I love this series and this world. I didn't love a lot of the books in the series at first, but after numerous re-reads, it's just grown on me to the point where I love it.
That said, this collection does NOT stand on it's own. If you haven't read the rest of the books in the series, you won't like it. And if you have read them all, you still might not. This is definitely a collection of "slice of life" snippets. If you go in expecting more, you will be sorely disappointed. -
matteo and gianna’s short story
2/5 ⭐️
1. who told authors it was hot to put weird things in girls’ vaginas???? they need to be stopped that shit is disgusting, how many people he killed with that knife before that scene???🥴🥴🥴 and the fact that they licked it after just ew ew
2. I liked that through her whole pregnancy gianna didn’t change and that even if she changed her mind it wasn’t rushed or miraculously done, but at the same time i hated that she gave them a child because they didn’t want one so to change your characters just to be able to write about their kid is annoying, and pls authors have to stop thinking women can only have a happy ending if there’s a child involved 😭
3. what happened with marcella’s personality? ik it wasn’t a story about her, but i was hoping to see more of her, it makes me feel like maybe cora will change her personality out of the sudden idk 🧍♀️
4. I hate lucaria, god their presence annoys me so much, they’re always acting like saviors and their moral superiority is just so annoying, i mean they’re even doctors in this one wow
5. in conclusion the best part was matteo beating luca and calling him a cheater 🧍♀️ -
that was the most horrible thing I read this year
Believe me, it was
Really, this woman come with “I don’t have favorites, I love equally all my characters” but is clearly that she favor Luca and Aria in everything and oh gosh they are f*cking terrible (both of them alone and as a couple) and have zero development (just like all others characters, in fact) and the the plot?????? It was horrendous
I can’t stand how bad this was -
I cannot believe i wasted two hours of my life reading this book.
First of all, was there a point in dedicating more than half the chapters on the couples' sex life? And the rest of them were about them having kids, but I'll get to that in a minute.
What was the point in them fucking so much? Sure, this is a novella but people can do other things than fuck 24/7. We know they are always horny and but these are not the same characters I read about in the original series.
Every character seemed bland and boring. I don't know how Cora managed to make all her characters lose their appeal, turning this instead into some kind of fairytale. I only enjoyed Matteo, who despite everything is still my charming psycho.
Now, if i wanted to read a book about pregnancy and babies, I'd open a fucking parenting book. What the actual hell was that??? Not everyone's purpose in life is to become a mother or a father. And I didn't like AT ALL what she did to Gianna and Matteo. She should have left them be.
Seriously, what the fuck. -
me: i love novellas with characters just doing domestic things and being happy!!
cora reilly: what? what did you say?? novellas where the characters are ruined even more??? say no more girl! I have your back!!!
Also the writing... let's just say it was never spectacular, but this was downright bad... I fear for Adamo's book tbh -
The truth is a great DISAPPOINTMENT, I hoped that this author improves what she has been doing wrong and honestly that did not HAPPEN, I am so disappointed, I entered this crazy world of mafia because it was fascinating to see how the author could take you away with her exquisite pen (before it era) today I think he only writes to write and does not take the time to stop and reflect if it is something really good. I consider it disrespectful for us readers who follow her to give us something so BASIC, INSULSE AND WITHOUT A DROP OF EMOTION. The truth was I no longer expected anything from these books and still managed to kill the little hope that remained in me that something good would come out. If he wanted us to hate Matteo and Gianna more, he did it perfectly, two immature and bland characters.
I REALLY HOPE CORA WILL CORRECT THESE MISTAKES AND STOP WRITING JUST WRITING ...
CORA FOR GOD'S LOVE, TAKE A BREAK FROM SO MANY BOOKS, AND PLEASE STOP PROMISING BOOKS, YOU ARE NOT DOING THINGS RIGHT! I reread the anthology hoping to find something good in it, because maybe I read it so fast that I missed some things but sadly it didn't. I hate the idea that he gave a daughter to Matteo and Gianna, they did not want to be, they loved his immaturity, with this I verify once again that I HATE Gianna with all the strength of my soul, she is so selfish and so focused on She herself, who never thought she wanted Matteo, never insisted that he tell her what he wanted. JESUS! the birth scene was so pathetic, ridiculous and unreal, there was not even a flashlight shining on Gianna, Aria was suddenly Dr. Queen, and without the baby's head coming out I already knew that it came with two turns of cord around her neck , GOD! They cut the cord with a dirty, unsterilized knife. Cora do us a favor and better investigate the things you want to capture. The story of Lili and Romero just made me roll my eyes, unnecessary! Growl and Cara excited me and deserved more. I feel ripped off because he sold us Stella and Mauro again and didn't even take the time to add anything else, not to mention the history of the gym and the birth of Amo a TOTAL SCAM !!! I am very sorry and disappointed, you better take a breath or reframe yourself to keep writing ... One star for Growl and Cara -
Oh how many ways can I detest thee..
A tragedy, honestly, for I had high hopes.
I shouldn't have because Gianna was barely ever tolerable but this made her even worse. She remains unpleasant, extremely pretentious and downright fkn annoying so nothing changed there though I thought this novella might make me like the couple.
But..
Who tf am I kidding.
Dropped this barely halfway in because it was oh so bad. I kinda wish I had read reviews before diving in. I had wayyyyy too high expectations and as always the extremely overdone hype.
Give it all a break. -
I don't understand what the author wanted to do here. Make us hate all the Famiglia characters?
Even if Luca was never my favourite, i still liked him. But here, he was UNBEARABLE! The way he spoke to Gianna all the time and his arrogance...SO annoying!
Not to mention Aria, who was always annoying, now...Matteo said it best: Dalai L'Aria. She knew everything. She even had to tell Matteo to help his wife to walk when she was in labor. And a million other small things that don't really need to be said, but apparently, the author wanted to put Luca and Aria on a pedestal and of course, kick Gianna and Matteo down as always. She failed miserably though, because she only made me hate Luca and Aria.
Luca and Aria's offer to adopt the baby, like the angels they are (*eyeroll*), was so cringey for me.
Every dialogue felt forced and fake.
Gianna...she should've redeemed Gianna, as so many fans dislike her. Instead, all the time, Gianna complains about the pregnancy and not wanting to be a mom. Meanwhile, Matteo actually wants the baby but does he say anything? No! Because of course, the author has to fuck up Matteo's character as well. For 8 months Matteo shut up and didn't say anything about wanting the baby. For 8 months, they pretended as much as they could that Gianna was not pregnant. I am annoyed! Because as fucked up they were separately, they were great together. But apparently, they can't communicate on their own. Of course not. Aria and Luca have to get involved and talk to each of them so they actually realise they want to keep the baby. Like, they actually have to be told! Wtf?? And when raising the baby? Of course, Aria and Luca must be there, because it seems like they just have to be perfect.
Oooh...Gianna's birth scene. One of the most unrealistic birth scenes i've read. How the hell did Aria know that the baby was coming out right then?? How?? Or does giving birth twice makes you a specialist? And how the hell did she know the baby's cord was around her neck?? The head wasn't out!! Did she have xray vision? So dissapointing.
I rolled my eyes so much, i'm surprised they're not stuck in the back of my head.
Basically, the best bit of the book was when Matteo punched Luca in his arrogant stupid face and called him out for cheating.
By the end of it, the family dynamic was cute, i'll give her that. But it doesn't make up for the extremely poor and dissapointing quality of this novella.
Conclusion: if you don't want to hate Aria and Luca (more), possibly Matteo and Gianna, don't read their novella.
If you don't want to be dissapointed, don't read this book. -
You gave Lilyromero 26 pages. ARE YOU SERIOUS and gave their kid the worst name on earth. lilyromero, sara and flavio nation continue to lose. I won’t ever forget how dirty you did them. my family deserve so much better than 26 pages !!!!
-
Terribly terrible.
Gianna is one of my favorite characters and what Cora did to her here was horribly disgusting. She NEVER wanted to be a mother, NEVER wanted this kind of responsibility on her and it's sad to see that Gianna will never have her decisions respected in Cora's books. Congratulations Cora Reilly.
And, my God, Luca is really a piece of shit. -
- luca and aria are still the worst
- why give matteo and gianna a child when they didn’t want to be parents in the first place and then suggest luca and aria could adopt the baby??? she kinda ruined them for me
- lilyromero deserved better
- caragrowl were the only decent part of this book and I didn’t even liked them in bound by vengeance.... -
How do I say this nicely... this sucked. I just- oof it's really bad. Ok, I love reading sex scenes but, when does it get to be too much? This book just felt like it was all sex and a few cute moments. So, for me, this was just too much sex. Maybe it's because she's pregnant herself but geez. There was no development as well. It was just blah and no heartwarming moments. Nothing exciting happened. She's ruining her characters. Maybe she should stop after Adamo's book because she just keeps going downhill and nobody needs to read about their favorite couple in this series only for her to ruin them. Like seriously leave the kids alone, I don't want their books anymore. I'd rather imagine them being with who I want them to be with instead of Cora fucking ruining them.
Luca and Aria: I love my number one babies. The short story of Amo was cute but, I don't think the gym sex short story was necessary. I never expected them to have three kids but, I'm happy about that. Valerio is kinda cute.... it'll grow on me I guess.
Stella and Mauro: I couldn't give a fuck about them, sorry. Didn't even read them and, why the fuck were you in here? No one gives a shit about y'all. Also, step sibling's trope? No thanks. NEXT!
Gianna and Matteo: their novella was fine? I honestly don't know. I was happy to see them have and keep baby Isabella but then again, they never wanted kids so idk how to feel. Would it have been a better novella with how she wrote it or with them not having a child? But, do authors not know how to style their characters? Because wtf was her 'sparkly bitch' top. Did y'all like the pocketknife scene?
Lily and Romero: Please they are literally the best yet, Cora fucked them over with it being THAT short. Yeah, it's a short story but geez that was literally nothing. My poor babies. Also, the baby names? Started off fine with Sara but Flavio...
Cara and Ryan: They're so underrated and for what? Huh? Couldn't tell ya. I'm happy they had two little boys. I find the names Maximus and Primo cute. I didn't like how Coco and Bandit died though. Like how dare she!?! doesn't she know they're supposed to live forever. I'm glad she was close to Gianna and Aria though instead of being alone.
If you're thinking about not reading this, don't and save yourself from the disappointment. -
THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL
How dare he?
I mean how dare he to drag my standards higher.... it was already touching the sky man!!!!
Luca Vitiello!!!!!!
Seeing him asDaddyfather and now taking care of mami Aria 😖😖😖😖
Yeah I will have to pass my life as a monk and not by choice.....
Merged review:
Inevitable Fact 1:I will go on a hunger strike if I don't get Amo's book

Matteo frowned. “I don’t know. Do you think you can see the child every day and have it call someone else Mom?”
I wasn’t sure. “But it’s a good option.”
Eww 😒 that's plain idiotic girl, you are not 18 anymore
In my humble opinion, it would have been far more better if they didn’t have children but anyway I really loved their part cz it showed the genuine side of motherhood which is not all heart and flowers. So it is appreciated 💕
I wanted to read few chapters (okay chapters related to Luca and Aria), but I couldn’t stop reading 🥺 this is so addictive.
I was reading another book but I had to put it on hold bcz of not that the book (Dark Notes) is less interesting because this one literally pulled me in.“You needed sleep more than I did. You’ve been taking over most nights and now it was my turn.”
He did say that, Didn't he????
I mean.......
Luca.....I can't love you MORE than I already do 😢 But this is too much
Seeing him as Father and the way he treats Mother Aria.......
I can’t take it you are toooo much
Those "Principessa" "Love" 😭😭 Mannnnnn
I wanna be Aria soooo bad just so I can be with him 🥺
For the 100th time, Vitiello Brothers are Golden 💕
1.Luca&Aria 10/5
yeah sue me I am biased
2.Mauro&Stella 6/5
It was surprisingly soooo guddddd
I loveeee Forbidden 😋 why the Cliffhanger thoooooo 😭😭 will they end up together or what?? Man I need full-length novel on Forbidden Delights
It was the worst tease of the century 😖 in the best possible way. I need a novel on them
I love Mauro 🥺 he is so hawtttt 🤭 and Stella pulled off the perfect "Good Girl" show 🤫 Seems like I need to read more stepbrother romance now 🤣
3.Matt&Gianna 4/5
eww pls no knife 🤮 I am already traumatized by Mrs. Shen's infamous chisel that was really unnecessary 🤢, in their defense they used the non-sharp side 🤣🤣🤣 I can't....
4.Romero&Liliana 4/5
Did inspire me to pick up their book because Romero is sooo sweet and I really loved his pampering
5.Cara & Growl 3/5
it was OKAY Didn't inspire me to pick up Growl's and Cara's book any time soon
All in all a really really addictive read 💕💕💕 -
the obsession with lucaaria is getting to be a bit too much, gianna not wanting kids was fine and fit her personality but to go as far as to say she was going to give her baby to her sister like 🥴 only to have aria get pregnant again too like the dramatics
-
this has only L of lilyromero im so sorry my babies she did you so dirty again

✰ 4 stars ✰
this took me a while to read, not cause it was bad but I just needed to be in the right mood ig and I really enjoyed it! Since this series is technically over for the five main couples, I'll just say my overall thoughts:
Going into BiBMC, I was aware people had mixed feelings with this series but I think it's cause I was aware of it and went in with low expectations that I enjoyed it more than I originally thought LOL. The only book I didn't like/was disappointed by was the 2nd book (Dante/Val's first book) but I remember how much I (surprisingly) enjoyed everything else. Not really anything new that my favorite story here was Gianna/Matteo. I'm a bit biased, but I also loved how
It's a bittersweet feeling to know it'll be the last we'll see these couples as main characters, but I'm also super excited to read the spin off of the 2nd gen! I truly hope it'll be just as good. <33

I didn’t read this (thank u God) but I know one more time that Cora ruined her characters
I beg you stop writing -
HISTORIA 1 y 2: LUCA Y ARIA
No me gustó.
I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. There are so many kids now. I guess this series will go on for a long time if the author covers everyone's book.
Now that the anthology is finished I hope the author doesn't butcher any future books anymore. -
I want to scream 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am in love with Matteo& Gianna so much 😍😍😍😍😍 -
IM FREEEEEE THAT WAS A SNOOZE FEST
-
Please Cora, leave these characters alone and move on to the next generation.
😫😫 I'm so mad that I wasted my time reading this book, it was so bad, some of the stories, the writing, the characters, it was just a disaster.
So it's basically a compilation of little stories that aren't that bad, my favorite story was Cara and Ryan's, but what ruined the book for me was the novella of Matteo and Gianna.
Gianna and Mateo's novella felt like an episode of 16 and pregnant, with two teenagers who want to continue “party the night out” so they don't want the responsibility of a child so the responsible adults step forward and decide to solve the problem and take the baby.
Except that Gianna and Mateo are not teenagers, they are two adults (31 and 38 I think), they have been married for 13 years, who decided not to have children (although they never did anything definitive not to have them), which is okay, not all women have to be mothers, nor do all couples have children, so I don't understand why the author decided that it was a good idea for them to have a child when clearly they DON’T wanted a baby, especially Gianna who even at the end of the story says "If I cuold live my life again i'd still decide not to be a mom, it's not my mission in life and it won't ever be", so why betray the essence of your characters like that, I just do not get it.
The way they handled the pregnancy was so childish, after they decide not to interrupt it and that Aria and Luca will adopt the baby, Gianna and Matteo decide to simply ignore that she is pregnant, continue with their lives as if nothing happened and not mention or discuss anything related to the pregnancy between them, they refer to the baby as "it" and let Aria take care of everything, because they can't handle it, realyyy again they are two Adults grown a pair and act like that.
So when they finally decide to keep the baby, I was like really why, you've made it clear throughout the novel that they don't want a baby, it just doesn't make sense, Gianna and Matteo as parents felt so forced, the few chapters in which we see them as parents, I feel sorry for the baby, and in the end I can only say that they being parents and this novel should never have happened, sorry not sorry. -
I understand that the author is pregnant but why is everyone also preggers in this books. Everyone and their mother is pregnant or has 10 kids or is dreaming of having 10 kids.
This book was suppose to be about the couples not their maternal/paternal life. Yea it's cute that they have kids but man calm down. And why do they have such ridiculous names.... Flavio lmaooo. Tho Orlando still takes the cake for worst name.
I was excited for Matteo and Gianna but their story was just a long novella about a woman confused about her impending motherhood. A very boring one at that.
And why are men giving "appreciative" looks to a 14 year old Marcella. It's so creepy! Can Cora please stop with her borderline paedophilia!!? There are other ways to let readers know that she is growing up. How nasty does it sound that men are appreciating Marcella growing up into a beautiful women. Ew. And Gianna's constant thoughts of her newborn baby's future sex life was creepy too.
Also why was Romero portrayed as a loser sidekick. I felt so sorry for him and lilly.
And can we calm down with the Luca and Aria worshipping. In Camorra its Remofina worshipping and famiglia its luca and aria. So annoying. Like we get it, aria and luca can never do no wrong.
This anthology was trash. Even the step bro and sis story was bland and boring. Save your time and give this one a miss. -
Why Cora ?
-
y’all think that if growl went on an apology tour it would be possible for remo to let him back into the camorra??? bc he was the only person with the most decent novella in this and its a shame he’s stuck in ny. the others were a snooze fest.
also let us join together in a prayer circle for adamo’s book.
