Jackson of the dark chocolate eyes, the perfect hair, the bad-boy reputation, and family name on the company letterhead. I can’t wait to fire his perfect butt.
Jackson: With a twitch of her too-tight skirt, a flutter of her wild greenish eyes, Callie can c*ckblock me into next Tuesday. Otherwise, we’re good together. Just not that way. My uncle’s main form of entertainment is pitting us against each other to make the company millions.
But my uncle must be bored, because he’s got a deal for us. Get married. If we stay married for half a year, we both get seven-figure payout. Legal? Probably. Ethical? Iffy. Tap out? Not in a million years.
How to Marry Your Frenemy (How To Rom Com #1) Reviews

Characters were not likeable, too much angst, don't let the good reviews fool you.
I had to force myself to finish this book. This author is new to me and I hoped I had found someone who had a long list of books I would want to read but this book was pretty awful. I was thinking of giving one more book a chance but reading reviews for those made it seem like they would have the same problems.
It's a fair bit further into the book than I expected when his uncle Vince offers them a million dollars to wed. I assumed he could see they belonged together and hoped forcing them together would make them realize it. That was not the case. In fact, I'm not sure we ever know for sure why he did it other than to amuse himself.
Something bad happens as a result of interference from a 3rd party and that person got what was coming to them but it was not written well. I would have liked to have had less snark between the H and h before their wedding and more on the bad thing that happens and more details on what the karma bus delivered.
The book could have lost a few scenes and nothing would be lacking. There were several steamy scenes but they were kind of flat.
The h was a witch. The H was a alphahole. The h spoke horribly to her assistant but the assistant took it all jn stride and, for some inexplicable reason, seemed to love working for her. She really did treat her like dirt. The H was a better person, which is saying a lot.
This author doesn't understand how to use pronouns when another person is in the sentence. It's very simple to figure out. Write the sentence as if there isn't another person and then add them. The fact that the person is an object in the sentence doesn't change just because someone else is in there with them. Object pronouns are him/her/them. Subject pronouns are she/he/they. And I should never be associated with between. Quite a number of places where she wrote "between so and so and I." There were a few places where she used object pronouns as the subject but not as many. Sometimes the word choice was wrong. For instance, she wrote a sentence stating someone was letting their presence be known but wrote pretense instead. A couple of other reviewers pointed out other errors I didn't notice.
Most of this book was the H and h bickering and not in a fun way or the h being a witch. The H and his friends were even nasty in how they spoke to each other.
I absolutely cannot imagine how anyone could give this book 5 stars. Unless it is all friends and family. Glad I read this through KU and didn't pay for it.
So, I'm done with this author and do not recommend this book. -
I couldn’t even get past the prologue of this book so I’m not going to rate it because I feel like that would be unfair to the author, but I could tell immediately after beginning this book that her writing style would not be for me. The actions that get you from one point to the next in the opening scenes were very disconnected/choppy and lacked detail and imagery. For example: main male character walks into a bar and two guys happen to look at him as he enters. A little later they look at him again and the MC stands up and puts his hands on the bar and the two guys look away. MC thinks to himself, “am I really that intimidating? Yes, yes I am”. There was no detail in the writing whatsoever that gave us any clue that that guys looked at him in a menacing way or anything for him to have gotten defensive. And then the bartender says, “look buddy we don’t want any problems”. MC takes a ring out and set it on the counter and bartender says “okay, next drink is on me”. I can obviously deduce that the ring had some kind of importance behind it, but again, the actions of the scene were so disconnected that it kind of came off as amateur writing. I think if the author had added just a few more details to the scene, such as HOW the guys looked at him, I could understand his actions, but she didn’t, so it honestly made that whole scene come off very weird. I’m mainly writing this just so I know I’ve already attempted to read this in case I forget and try to download it again at some point.

Oh my god...this book was amazing. London blew it out of the ballpark. The feelings, the emotion, the love/hate with Jackson and Callie, the whole story itself was spectacular. The way you have them the best possible details in the personality made us love them. But with Jackson, man let's just say he is the perfect description of the kind man us women want in our lives. He just makes us believe that they're is someone out there waiting for us to find him. And Callie, she reminds me so much of myself that it was scary seeing all the little details we really do have in common. She thought is was a fake but in the end true love or as some say soulmates we found. When you get them together fireworks did go off.
I was so amazed with the telling of this story that by the end I was crying because they have what I want in my life. So thank you London for coming back to the writing scene and making us believe that if we trust that in time we will get what we want but it just might take time and patience to achieve it. Love is worth fighting for and keeping. Please know that I'm now an even bigger fan and hope to see the other guys get their own story to be told. So my recommendation to all the readers out there if you have read London Casey then you should and this story will blow you away. Brilliant and amazing read. I give it 5 stars. I voluntarily read and reviewed this book as an Advanced Reader's Copy. -
Off the charts AMAZING!!!
London Casey not only came back into the writing world, she came back with a bang. This book is packed with so much heat the paged might burn your fingers. I love the banter back and forth between Callie and Jackson. These two are fighting to win and they stop at nothing to get what they want. You can just feel the chemistry between them. This is a must read. I couldn't put it down and you won't be able to either. Welcome back London. I can't wait to see what you have in store for us next. -
Oh my goodness how excited am I that this author that I've enjoyed for so long is BACK?! I was absolutely hooked from the start on Jackson and Callie. They have so much FIRE and fight between them. The competition, that need to be the best just sparks so intensely that I was flipping pages for more and more. Their story is fun, super spicy, with touches of emotion that just pulls it all together in this amazing book. I enjoyed all the characters and loved every second and am absolutely on the edge of my seat for the next book in this series.
I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. -
HOW TO MARRY YOUR FRENEMY (How to Rom Com Series Book 1) By London Casey
This is a fun, satisfying, well written story about Callie and Jackson. They are in a race for the same promotion and are at odds with each other constantly. The company used to be Jackson’s father’s, but his uncle took over until Jackson was able to do so. Jackson is a playboy that is now ready to take his father’s place. Callie is someone who has always been very serious about her life. She has had to take care of her mom. This story has great witty banter, smoking’ hot chemistry, lots of twist and turns. Welcome back London, I am curious to see what you have up your sleeve for us next! This is a 5 star read. -
London Casey is back!!!! London nailed the frenemy to lovers romance! Jackson and Callie are more alike than they think. Callie has worked her butt off to make it in a male dominated business and has left no time for a personal life or a man. She is determined to get the promotion and she doesn't care what Jackson does or says, it will be hers. Jackson wants to take over the company from his uncle and has a plan in place to do that, if he can get rid of thorn in his side...Callie. What he doesn't count on is Callie's determination, and the deal his uncle makes the two of them. Their banter cracked me up and their chemistry is off the charts! What begins as a no holds barred competition slowly becomes more as they let down their walls little by little break out of their comfort zones. Great story with snark, drama, hysterical characters and a passion they could not ignore! Loved it!!!

Jackson and Callie are hilarious with their love/hate banter.
They are both strong willed, hard working, and totally competitive.
You are going to love their story.
Just wait until you meet Callie's mom.
She's a hoot as well. -
Long but fun
Frenemies to lovers is one of my favorite tropes. Jackson and Callie are co-workers, always competing. They both want the top spot at the office for very different reasons.
Their relationship develops naturally, a slow burn that starts to build with greater intensity.
I give it 4 stars. The story was a bit long, drawn out. Their backstory on their parents & family was never fully discussed and made some of their actions a bit confusing.
I’ll probably read the next book, to see what happens with Liam. -
Definitely not my favorite.

What a ride! Welcome back with a hot read!
Jackson and Called trying to compete and.out do each other in business. Frenemies?! not sure if all that tension is hate, love or what, but 1 night changes everything... Ok ok, more than 1 night. Fun and good feeling read. Just loved it. -
Great Story!
I loved reading about Callie and Jackson. They had a love/hate relationship. Their conflicts drug me in and I couldn’t stop reading. -
This friend to enemy romance grabbed my attention from the very first page and wouldn't let me put this book down until the final page was read! The storyline was well written and the characters were so wonderfully created that Jackson and Callie kept my attention throughout the entire book!
-

Wow!!!! I am so glad London is back and she wrote a very sexy and sweet story. Jackson is a bad boy that every woman wants, she doesn't, she wants to move up the ladder in his company. She and him have a lot of back and forth digs. I loved this book. A must read. I received this for a honest review

Maybe Two stars? DNF @76
There are only two reasons for the two stars. One for each of the stars.
- one. The whole strong independent woman who don't need no man... yaaasss!!!
- two. The potential that this story had.
Okay, now let's get into everything that is wrong with this.
- There were just like ten too many points in the book where I had to stop and be like 'was that really necessary?' Why do writers do that? they try to make the book longer so they add all the stupid shit that adds no reference to the storyline. Some of it seemed like an attempt at a joke (because this is listed as a rom-com) but I did not laugh one time. not. one. single. time.
- Going off the previously mentioned overly dramatic, not necessary scenes that would do on for so long with no point other than to talk about stuff that no one cares about, there is the time where the H fights off the h's ex. First of all, what is with books and trying to make the main characters seem good so they literally reduce all of the other characters to trash? The ex did not seem real at all. There is not a person in life that acts like that. I felt like the book was calling me a fool for even bothering to read it. Like for real? Am I a joke to you?
- Then there is the whole ridiculousness of the book which is so annoying. like really? your boss tells you that you should marry some guy for money for no point what so ever and you do it. I really couldn't for the life of me get the point. they had to mention how much the boss looooved risks so that it makes sense to them cuz it made no sense to me. like what?
- Then there is the thing where the characters praise their own selves over and over again. Don't get me wrong, I do like to compliment myself when I think I look good but then these characters were so annoying. like the scene where he walks to his apartment naked and then the neighbour sees him. like really? what was the point of that? and then him going back to tell the h just so that we can all know how much he is packing. There is no story there, just fluff. then there is the h with how much she talks about her boob. (let it be known that I didn't even mention how much it was mentioned in every paragraph that she had a 'nice ass'... like please, it is not crucial at this moment that it is mentioned but I digress).
- Last but not least, I didn't finish it. There are only so many times I can roll my eyes before I have a headache. I can't do it anymore with the h who thinks she has to rebel anything and everything to seem like a strong woman and then there is the hero who is just so annoying for no reason. I didn't like both of them so I had to end it.
In conclusion, if you want a fluff piece to read with no story, annoying characters and NOT a rom-com, then go for it! If not, save your time. -
Jackson and Callie
So much chemistry...so little time! Jackson is a bad boy. Callie has learned the hard way that she's gotta take care of herself. Digs back and forth! Plot twist! Redemption! Love! Enjoyed the read! Kindle Unlimited -
At an early age Callie realized there'd be no Prince Charming swooping in to save her. She had to look out for herself and not depend on anyone. She learned that from her mother and that life lesson would not be repeated. It was that mindset that led her up the corporate ladder in an investment company working along side Jackson.
Jackson is working towards the same promotion as Callie. The only difference is that his uncle decides who receives it and Jackson is banking on family loyalty. Jackson's father built Amado Investments and Jackson couldn't wait to follow in his footsteps.
Jackson is a carefree, easy going, huge flirt. Callie is responsible to a fault. She had to be. She was a product of her environment growing up and it carried over into adulthood. But they both were stubborn and controlling when it came to their careers. Very successful careers they'd earned while secretly checking each other out, both hating themselves while doing it, but it never stopped them.
Things were definitely getting complicated when they are given a proposition worth money and a promotion. Amidst the confusion, real feelings were getting harder to deny as well as control and what was supposed to be fake was starting to feel pretty real.
I LOVE THESE CHARACTERS 💕 JACKSON & CALLIE ARE FUNNY, FLIRTY, INTENSE AND HOT🔥 FULL OF QUICK WITTED BANTER AND TONS OF CHEMISTRY ! RAW AND REAL WITH LOTS OF SMOKING HOT, MIND BLOWING SEX 🔥 COMPLETELY ORIGINAL STORYLINE THAT KEPT ME INVESTED RIGHT UP UNTIL THE END ! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK ! ! ! -
🌠🌠ONE REFRESHING DELIGHT🌠🌠
Game on! London just rolled through, tilting my world on its axis and blowing my mind, with this heart pounding, pulse racing, adrenaline pumping, page flipping, delectably scrumptious deep dish delight, hooking you from the start and reeling you in for the duration, catapulting this sweet treat to staggering heights. One refreshingly spun debacle, with all the frills, feels and fun-filled humor, noting the heated drama, steaming tension, intense situations, captivating intrigue, underlying currents, sizzling suspense, blasts this gem to life flawlessly. Shenanigans, escapades and havoc run amuck, boundaries broken and relaxed limitations are strengthened and amplified, unveiling the soaring ups and heartbreaking downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and beautiful in it's depth, wrapping this baby up sleek shiny and tight. The attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity and ardor, baring the deep emotions and an undeniable bond, binding them to one another beautifully. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with qualities and traits that add depth and diversity, transform into genuine charismatic personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels as though you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job London, thanks for sharing this little jewel with us. -
It wasn't terrible. The problem was the characters. Any potential the plot had got dragged down by them.
Jackson, the poor little rich boy who had a girl reject his proposal, is an arrogant misogynist. His life plan is to willingly go along with his uncle's unethical/illegal business- so that he can some day take over and "do things the right way" while treating everyone around him (women especially) like garbage. Because someone once hurt his feelings, so now he's too scared to have any. His redeeming quality was... his dad is dead? Uhm. No.
Callie on the other hand, has lived way too long in survivor mode. Forced to figure out how to pay bills/take care of her mom since she was a kid- is bitter and closed off. That tracks. Her mom was a burden not a parent, and Callie chased money and stability for both of them. She's an asshole and avoids feelings because it was never safe for her to have any. There's depth there.
Jackson brings out the worst in Callie. And he lives in his worst. Their "love story" is out worsting each other, and still being there. Except for you know. When Jackson bails. Callie gets fired. But the book is nearly over so prepare for a magical resolution. -
DNFed at 44%
I was fooled by the 4+ ratings and thought I should give this book a try.
I just couldn't stand the characters. Callie, the FMC, is just a straight up b*tch to her secretary just to appear "ruthless, competent, and competitive" in the corporate environment. Jackson, the MMC, is the stereotypical f*ckboy with no character depth. The bickering between the main characters is just plain exhausting and does NOT create any sexual tension that is to be expected from an enemies to lovers book.
As for the writing, it is kind of inconsistent. An example: Drunk Callie wore a light pink dress that shows her cleavage when she got married to Jackson. Buuuut, she woke up the next day in Jackson's room with a hangover and saw her "favorite jeans" and her flannel over shirt on the floor. Would she have had the time to change out of her pink dress that she wore for the wedding considering that both her and Jackson are super drunk? I don't think so. Jackson said so himself that they were too drunk to do any thing but get themselves to bed and sleep after the wedding.

Must Read
How to Marry your Frenemy is hilarious with a sexy scenes that will get your heart racing. Callie and Jackson the lead characters in this story and I have to tell you I fell in love with both of them. This is story that you must read if you love humor with a touch of dirty talking. The chemistry between these Frenemy's is off the charts. This is the first book from LC in years and its Hit!! Her storytelling is fresh, fun. refreshing but its still filled with LC's normal writing style.
Absolutely loved this How to story and I personally cant wait to read the rest of the series. I hope she is doing a book for all of Jackson's crew which is made up of Liam, Cole, Gage, Lincoln, Hudson, Finn and Dax. Welcome Back LC, can't wait to read what you release next. Happy Reading!! -
Well, that was weird. There's really no plot here, some little issues. Some stories that are not even explain like the failed first proposal of the H. It's not clear why they get married, or the uncle position or motivation in this whole mix. The story wanted to be funny at times. But it was not enough.
The only thing I could enjoy was the banter between the MCs. And not even that was all good.
This is a confusing book that was hard for me to read because it was slow, with unnecessary friends (that are just there to continue this series book), and with unnecessary scenes like the double date dinner...
Oh, and it wasn't just the holes in the "plot", there were a lot of random mistakes like one moment the h is walking, and the next she's stopping the car to get out? Or a lot of random words...
