Corinthians 14:2. This really is the heart of all prayer - speaking to God. The idea is not just that of uttering words, but instead, of entering into dialogue that leads to intelligent understanding an
ultimately an intimacy in His presence. Speaking to God is the key that unlocks the limitless
potential of the Creator of heaven and earth and ushers us into a position where we can hear Him speak back and respond to our requests. The difficulty that so many have is that they are
speaking to God but often not lining up with what He desires to hear - it is what He desires to
hear that is what we really long for and will be the happiest in receiving. How often can we relate to the cry of Paul when he said, "We know not what to pray for..." as we approach the presence of God? Thankfully, God does not leave us without the means to be able to communicate with Him to the fullest ability so that we can receive all that His gracious and generous heart has provided for us. We have the gift of tongues.
