Panzers - Push for Victory by Tom Zola is thrilling, violent, and full of German cultural and military references.
The year is 1944. After the German Wehrmacht successfully repelled Russian counterattacks on the Eastern Front, the High Command turns its attention to France. It is clear that the Allies prepare for an invasion. Thousands of ships, planes, and tanks are gathered in England, millions of Allied soldiers await boarding the landing craft. German Forces in France are weak and have to be strengthened on time, so both Lieutenant Josef Engelmann's and Sergeant Franz Berning's units are transferred to Western Europe. Arriving in Normandy, they think they won't play a role in the first days of the battle for France, since the whole German Army expects the enemy to land near Pas-de-Calais …

Book 3 in series.
The 3rd book is shorter and less dramatic. Even though the invasion is taking place something is lost in the telling. Still would like to have more detail of weapon systems woven in the story not a glossary in the back. Still an excellent series that I'm going to continue. -
Excellent book!
This book was gripping from beginning to end. The characters are even more developed, and the battles are in great detail. My only suggestion......use another word for hinterland.I'm looking forward to all 12 in the series!
