A Mistaken Identity Romance & A Valentine's Day Romance

Emily Hearst: I finally did it... I made an appointment to see a sex therapist.
If seeing a sex therapist to finally deal with my intimacy issues is what it takes, then so be it.
My therapist, Dr. Anderson, is the best in his field…and he's my only hope.
The only problem is that he's intensely gorgeous.
And ever since we met, I can't stop fantasizing about him.
I should be focused on my therapy, but instead, I'm envisioning Dr. Anderson shirtless and chopping wood with an ax.
Oh God…He's so hot, I can't stop staring.
Is it possible to be too sexually attracted to someone?
Truth be told, the chemistry between us is off the charts.
The big question is, can I discuss my intimacy problems with him?
Or did I make a huge mistake coming here?

Dylan Bradford: I have a confession to make… I’m not who I say I am.
Emily thinks I’m Dr. Kevin Anderson, her therapist…but I’m not.
When she mistook me for him, I found it slightly amusing at first, but now, not so much.
This is wrong on so many levels...I need to tell her the truth.
Come to think of it, if Emily needs someone to talk to, it can’t be Dr. Anderson—he has a bad reputation for exploiting his patients.
Hell, that loathsome man would leap at the opportunity to lure her in with his ‘low monthly payment’ gimmick.
Uh-uh, no way, not on my watch!
Maybe she should talk to me instead. I’m not a trained psychologist, but I’ve been told that I’m a good listener.
I would be happy to lend an ear or a helping hand...I’d do anything to keep her from harm.
Just when I thought I had it all under control…things start to unravel.
And then, suddenly, I get this crazy idea.
I don’t just want to keep her safe, I literally want to keep her. Forever.
Because let’s be honest, making her mine is the only way I can ensure that Emily’s always safe and protected.

This is a steamy insta-love, over-the-top romance book with a happily ever after and no cheating.

This is my first book from this author and I will definitely read more from her. I was intrigued by the blurb in the story so I decided to read it and I had so much fun reading this.

Emily seems to get hot then cold, that is thanks to her narcissistic ex-husband, but Dylan fixed it all with his love and care. Dylan is the perfect book boyfriend. I loved it.

Emily has intimacy issues she has decided to seek help about so she makes an appointment with a sex therapist. She ends up seeing Dylan who lets her believe he is the doctor she has an appointment with. He doesn't correct her since the doctor she was supposed to see is shady. He feels an instant attraction to her but what will happen when she finds out the truth?

A fast paced insta-love story that was a fun read. I enjoyed reading this short story though some of their actions didn’t ring true, it was still an entertaining story.

I requested a copy of this book so I could provide an honest review.

Emily (h) finds herself drawn to the sex therapist, Dylan/’Dr.Anderson’ (H), she’s signed up with regarding her intimacy issues after her divorce. The session is going really well, until they’re interrupted and Emily finds out that her doctor is actually Dylan, real estate mogul. Some smooth talking and the connection she feels to Dylan, have Emily agreeing to get to know one another better. But Dylan has another secret in store for Emily – he’s been in love with her for years and wants her to be his forever if he can convince her to trust him. Sweet and funny OTT romance with plenty of hot and steamy action, and a little side of relationship drama and angst.

    Not for me

It might just be me, but the moment the book becomes "rich guy gets his way because no one is going to say boo" I just can't. I get it, it's supposed to be short and sweet but, dang it read more like a damaged woman coming off a toxic relationship and walking into another without healing and taking the time to figure out who she is and what she wants.

I enjoyed Dr. Anderson & Emily's book. It was a fun, sweet read. I got a copy of the book. And am voluntarily leaving my review.

2.5 stars. The premise is that Emily is going to see a sex therapist for the first time, and Dylan is the sex therapist (except he's not). I was a bit icked out during the first appointment when Dylan (while still pretending to be the sex therapist) puts the moves on Emily. Dylan also has some stalker-ish tendencies as he's been admiring Emily from afar for years, since she saved his dog. This story had too many "You" vibes for me to find romantic.
