The World Encyclopedia of Serial Killers is the most comprehensive set of its kind in the history of true crime publishing. Written and compiled by Susan Hall, the four-volume set has more than 1600 entries of male and female serial killers from around the world.
Defined by the FBI as a person who murders 3 or more people over a period of time with a hiatus of weeks or months between murders, serial killers have walked among us from the dawn of time as these books will demonstrate. While the entries to these volumes will continue to grow—the FBI estimates that there are at least fifty serial killers operating in the United States at any given time—

    Very interesting encyclopedia

Hall pens an informative and intriguing, yet kind of creepy true crime title in THE WORLD ENCYCLOPEDIA OF SERIAL KILLERS: Volume Four T-Z. I have read the first three volumes, and this finishes up the alphabet of famous or should I say infamous serial killers, and those that may not be recognized except to the victims and their families. This book not only covers the solved, but the unsolved cases, and there may be victims of at least some of these killers that have never been recovered or identified. It's not a morbid read, but it gives insight into the everyday looking person, who could be a killer behind those smiling eyes. Many serial killers don't "look" like killers, but are very charming, while others have killing fetishes that may never be understood, not even to them. I look forward to reading more by this author. This book is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews.

THEY LIVE AMOUNG US THE Famous And Not So Famous Serial Killers

Many thanks to Wildblue Press and BookSirens for the digital copy of this 4th book in this series.
I have read the first three volumes, and this finishes up the alphabet of famous and not so famous serial killers. Once again, I was surprised to find a lot of killers I have never heard of. It is a remarkably interesting book and easy to read. The book covers solved and unsolved crimes and mentions a lot of murder victims that are believed to be by the killers you will read about in this book that have never been identified or recovered. An extremely good read and interesting facts of a lot of Killers both male and female from around the world.

I received an advance review copy for free from BookSirens, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

This is truly an encyclopedia and if you are a true crime buff, it’s interesting to randomly pick a page and learn more. The book provides a great starting point for continued research.

Some entries are quite short, others cover a few pages. It appears to be well-researched yet I would recommend some additional fact checking, for example, Northwestern University is in Evanston, IL and not Evansville as the book states.

At the end of volume four, a comprehensive table covering all four volumes is included, for ease of cross-referencing it would benefit from a header row that appears on all pages of the table.

FromT untilZ it is packed full of salt serial killers. From the early 20th century until recent years they are all in this book. I find the way the stories were told were very interesting and informative and I don’t want to use the word I enjoyed it but it held my interest. They even have a sample from the unsolved serial killer book at the end with tax and other interesting tidbits about serial killers. I really think Susan went above and beyond with this one I am so glad I read it! I was given this book from Books sirens and I’m giving this review voluntarily.

This book is super eye opening! I entered to win it in the Goodreads giveaway and won and am so glad I did. I never expected to learn so much and honestly never realized there were so many serial killers. For some there was more information included than others but overall this was a really good and intriguing read.

I really enjoyed this book. I've always been fascinated by true crime. I plan on going back and reading the first 3 books in the series.
