    I think this book definitely had value as part of my journey, but I felt there wasn't as much of practical usefulness as I'd hoped. I guess I'd hoped to nail things down in a practical way a little more. I thought it was funny that the introduction talked about people being put off discussing intuition because it seemed "woo" but then the book went on to be pretty deep in woo town itself, with talk of Spirit Teams, connecting with ancestors, protecting yourself from energetic attack, etc. I am pretty woo myself so this is fine with me but it would be silly to pretend it's not woo. I did feel the book felt at times a little self consciously woke, something about being preached to about cultural appropriation add indigeneity by an overly humble fellow white lady was a bit grating for me.

    There is always value in spending time on books like this that celebrate and solidify connection with Spirit/Self (I did like the use of the infinity symbol for this ephemeral concept). Somehow I was just wanting a little more about HOW to practically connect with intuition, beyond "just listen and trust".

    Natalie makes approaching spirituality so simple and explains things in a way that anyone can resonate with. She is not overly “woo woo” and allows the reader to use their own language and interpretation on how they relate to the spiritual side of life. I especially appreciate her views on being consciously intuitive and educating us on how to buy ethically, and handle our spiritual practices in a way that doesn’t culturally appropriate. She even gives tips on how to call on the strength of certain crystals without having to actually buy them. Which is great, as not everyone is privileged enough to be able to afford such expensive tools. In short, she makes reactivating your intuitive gifts something that anyone can feel comfortable and able to do.
