Marty has to step in and help her detective husband once again, She had been contracted by an insurance company to assess the value of all in Joe's house. Very unusual pieces! The next day Joe is found murdered! There are really a lot of suspects and Marty is going to help narrow down the list!
There is some comic relief when Marty goes to ask her antique store owner friend if he has heard anything. You will not believe what that man was trying to get his spoiled dog to wear!! Then she asked the woman who develops pictures for her. She also knew some but not much--but she had just gotten a new dog!! What kept coming up was the Desert Ashram that Joe attended.
In between eating delicious meals (recipes in the back)-they were able to figure out who killed Joe. You won't believe who did it and who finally turned him in!! -
Murdered Mogul (High Desert Cozy Mystery #12), my tenth read/listen from author Dianne Harman and my first read in her High Desert Cozy Mystery series. Well-written and developed, the first of her series where one of the primary characters is actually a police professional. I have to read more by this author about this character. I was given an Audible copy of this book & am voluntarily reviewing it. Cloey Kelly's narration adds to an excellent book's enjoyment. I look forward to reading more in this series & from this author. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

Love this High Desert Series, the characters are so interesting, the storyline is entertaining and you will never be disappointed In Dianne Harman writing! Marty and friends are always helpful in solving murder mysteries! Also the recipes are delicious! -

Interesting scenery choice, lends vividly to the story. Marty didn't work much appraisals in this one. I missed it as it adds more depth to her character
