They ride wild and love hard.
Cold.
Dark.
Dangerous.
I’m a ghost, living off the grid, never getting involved.
Until the President of the Iron Kings MC comes calling.
My oldest friend. My brother-in-arms.
I’m pulled back in to protect his daughter.
But the mission quickly turns personal.
She tempts me, drawing me too close.
I need to stay away.
I’m a dangerous monster.
I’ll ruin her.
But I’m drawn further into the world of the Iron Kings MC.
The promise of brotherhood and a fresh start seems too good to pass up.
She can’t stay away and neither can I.
Her light cuts through my dark.
She’s everything I didn’t know I’d been looking for.
But, can a damaged bastard like me really find peace?
Wraith (Iron Kings MC, #1) Reviews

Ok so I really really liked this but the Epilogue fell very short. I wanted a true HEA with some definitiveness but it left me with an unsatisfying HFN and not what I wanted or hoped for:( Assume their story will continue with series but I really loved them and wanted “more” at the end!

This is my first Franca Storm book and it will not be my last. The book was very well written. I could see the “movie” playing in my head while I was reading 😉. Fantastic start to the series. Wraith and Ashley are amazing together and the action is non stop. You don’t want to miss this book. I cannot wait for book two and Spartans story.

*I received this copy in exchange for an honest opinion*
Everyone knows that the life of a group of bikers will have to be a roller coaster of adventure, excitement and danger. The passion that identifies them and that often sends a bad impression to those who are not part of that world, makes us think that, perhaps, being part of such a family is better than belonging to one that rejects us and mistreats, as so often happens.
This is the story of Wraith (Finn). A man with a twisted soul by his past of cruelty, violence and death. Although he is "retired" from MC's life, he still feels that longing and adrenaline of when he was part of a MC family. Nowadays he is sheltered in a city where nobody knows his past and where he runs a small gym to be able to pass unnoticed by whoever wants to find him.
When an old companion, who saved his life in the past, asks him to protect his daughter, Ashley, Finn can't say no, although he knows that as soon as he puts his eyes on her again, everything will be at risk for him, for her and for the unknown life he has led there.
I loved Ashley. A girl full of strength who is forced to leave that life of violence and danger on her own and who, in rebellion from her father, tries to remake her life out of there and out of everything she hates most. Although she loves her father, she cannot forget the fact that her mother died because of that life and because of the wars that her father waged against other similar groups.
Despite everything, she has a sweet heart and a caring personality. She knows how to be tough when needed, but she has a charitable and sweet soul. He dreams of Finn since she last saw him a couple of years ago so broken and so damaged, and as soon as she sees him, it seems that a flame is lit between the two of them.
Despite all the violence and action that this book brings us, we can also glimpse a lot of emotion, that naked and raw that sometimes squeezes our hearts and brings tears to our eyes.
I really do recommend! -
Starts with a couple outside the MC. He's 20ish years older than her. There were other things that right off the bat were stretching the imagination.

I have only recently delved into the MC trope and I absolutely adore it, but unfortunately this book did not tick any boxes for me.
The MMC, Finn, is an ex undercover black ops soldier who has this darkness within him that he refers to as a ‘monster’. This ‘monster’ almost takes on its own persona - third wheeling the relationship developing between Finn and Ashley and his issues with this so-called ‘monster’ overshadows absolutely everything in the book, and left me feeling like I was reading some sort of Venom fan fiction.
To be fair, I did enjoy the first third of the book but then felt like the romance took a backseat for the rest of the story. I don’t have a lot of experience reading MC books but I just found the President’s persona and relationship with Finn cringeworthy. There were also a lot of discrepancies about dates and timelines and the piecing together of certain action scenes did not flow very smoothly so it was difficult to try and gauge an understanding of what was going on at times, and with reference to this monster every couple of paragraphs I felt really confused as to what I was actually reading most of the time. -
This is a new author to me and I can’t believe I’ve waited so long to read her! Ghost, wraith and shadow are words to describe Finn. He is living so far off of the grid The only people who know about his existence is the Iron Kings MC and Jesse, who was in his black ops unit. He is a dark man with a dangerous past but has a soft spot for the Iron Kings Princess, Ashley. Ashley is a feisty and sassy woman who has distance herself from her dad‘s over-bearing and smothering ways and ultimately the club also. The club’s enemies have their sites set on Ashley and Finn is called in for protection detail. They’ve been dancing around each other since Ashley nursed Finn back to health after an op gone wrong. Will Ashley make Finn see it’s worth living in the light instead of the shadows or will his demons come out and swallow them both?

Where to start with this review.... I have so much going through my mind that I can't put it into words. First I have to say that this is the first book I have read by Franca and it will not be the last. This book sucked me in right from the start.
We get to meet Wraith who is a loner living his life in seclusion after serving his time in the army. Then one day his friend Jesse finds him and tells him he needs a favor. Wraith agrees to help out and goes Jesse to protect his daughter Ashley. There is a rival club that is coming for Ashley and he is determined to keep her safe. While keeping her safe Wraith realizes he has feelings for her.
This story is full of action, suspense, revenge, violence and loyalty. So go on out and one click this bad boy. -
I've been obsessed with MC romances lately, and this one was just so good!! It took me a little bit to fully get invested with the story line and characters but once I was, I was absolutely glued to my kindle!!
Finn (Wraith) owes the guy who saved his life, so when he asks him to pick up and protect his daughter, Finn can't say no. He just never expected Ashley to knock him on his ass in all the best of ways.
I loved Ashley!! She was fierce and such a badass, and has such a wonderful heart. The connection between these two happened almost right away, and I loved seeing them fall in love with one another. And the steam was DEFINITELY kindle melting!!
I can't wait for more from this talented author!!
**I received an ARC of this book and these are my honest opinions!** -
This book had me hooked from the first two sentences. I was instantly intrigued about what was going on and what was going to happen. A visit from an old friend connects him with the heroine, and then chemistry and danger pursue. I really liked this book and I'm looking forward to read the next one.

This story had Alphas like no other, Wow was I taken within the first few chapters. This writing really blew me away. It was over before I knew it and boy did I crave more. Each word really popped out of the pages. Wraith and Ashley are really an amazing couple together they are like ying and yang and all that good stuff lol. Had a bunch of funny moments and then moments that just grabbed your heart and didn't let go. Action packed on ever page keeps you coming back, also helps that you had steamy romance. This is for sure a MUST READ.

This is the first book in a new MC series and my first book to read by Franca Storm, both of which I found to be fantastic. The author has a flair with words that had me loving her way of telling a story. I found Wraith to be very well written with lots of intense action, suspense and romance. The characters she gave us in Wraith and Ashley were amazing. Watching Wraith come to terms with his past and Ashley come into her own as a strong independent woman was breathtaking.
Wraith’s main goal is keeping Ashley safe: safe from her father's enemies as well as his dark side. Ashley only wants to love him and be the light in his darkest hours. But life isn’t that easy for them.
Their road is fraught with many obstacles including ones of their own making. This has a very intense storyline that had me rooting for any kind of a happy ending. But is that even possible for them?
Great read that I highly recommend grabbing up, you won’t regret it. 2 Thumbs Up and 5 Stars. -
Franca Storms Wraith is Book 1 in her Iron Kings Motorcycle Club Romance series. This is the first book I have read by Franca Storm. The book cover caught my attention and as soon as I read the blurb I knew this one was for me! This is Wraith (Finn) & Ashley's story!
Finn is ex-military, one of the deadliest black ops there is. After being betrayed by his team and critically injured he was taken in by his old friend, Scott (Spartan) Tate, the President of the Iron Kings MC. He protected him and provided medical care for him. While Finn was recovering, Scott’s daughter Ashley helped take care of Finn and their attraction started from there. Finn is the silent but deadly type LOL. Once he lets the monster out it is hard to reign himself in and that scares him. After recovering, Finn started a new life living off the grid. Scott comes to Finn and asks for his help protecting his daughter Ashley. The Rogues, a rival gang that killed Scott’s wife years go is now going after Ashley.
Ashley, the Club Princess hates the MC lifestyle. She is a strong woman with a big heart that always tries to do the right thing. She moved away from home because her father constantly suffocated her and didn’t allow her any freedom. She now works at a Tattoo Parlor in another city and has worked hard to build a new life of her own and loves her freedom. When Finn shows up at her tattoo parlor, the Rogues are already there and trying to kidnap Ashley. Finn stops it and takes Ashley into hiding. I like that Ashely didn’t fight Finn or act like a spoiled “princess”. She knew that her father’s lifestyle would end up messing up her life again eventually and she is resigned to that.
You can feel the chemistry between Finn and Ashely. Ashley has had feelings for Finn since she was helping to care for him. Finn did as well but since that is his friend’s daughter, he tries to avoid his feelings, which is hard when he is protecting her 24/7 and she is living with him. He is also significantly older than she is. I really like that the indecision of should he, shouldn’t he be with her wasn’t drawn out too much. Once Finn realized he didn’t want to ever be without Ashley, he gave in to feelings.
This book has everything! Action, violence, revenge, angst and some seriously steamy romance! I highly recommend you check out the Iron Kings MC Series!! -
5 Stars all the way!
Franca Storms Wraith really caught hold of my attention from not only the cover, but the blurb itself.
Motorcycle Club Romance used to be a favorite, but, over time I grew tired of the same situations over and over again. But, Franca's blurb captured my attention, and I knew that I was willing to dive back into the trope to hear Wraith (Finn) & Ashley's story!
Without giving too much away, the story starts off with Finn in a bar, in the new town he made a home for himself in, and while there, his old friend Scott shows up. &He needs a favor. Finn's old friend Scott just so happens to be President of the Iron Kings MC, and he was there when no-one else was, when Finn had been badly hurt. He protected and provided Finn with the best care for the full 6 months it took for him to recover from his injuries, and well, Scott tracked him down, because he needed a return favor.
The Rogues, the Iron Kings rival's (& more), have resurfaced, and he needs Finn to pick up his daughter Ashley, and protect her while they get everything figured out with this rival MC gang.
&Well.....you can only imagine as to how the story will continue on from there....
BUT, it really isn't at all what you would imagine. Because Franca brought forth an intriguing and unputdownable read.
Violence, Action, Revenge, STEAM, STEAM, STEAM. Handsome boys on motorcycles, and a twisting, anxiety inducing ride, that you are going to love!
So, if you are an MC Romance fan, I highly recommend giving Wraith a chance. I found it to be perfectly paced, easy to follow, exciting, anxiety inducing(some of the tense moments), and just all around fun. The charachter's were so easily likable. Finn(Wraith) is the sexy broody and somewhat "silent" type, who has been battling a rough past, and what seems to be PTSD.
Ashley is a strong heroine. A tattoo artist who worked her hardest to make it on her own, with a caring heart, and a belief in doing what is right, no matter how awful the situation may be.
&Something else that I loved is that the story wasn't drawn out. There was never a boring moment, and it flowed perfectly. Give it a chance, I have a feeling that you are going to love Ashley & Finn's story! -
This book, while not bad, gives new meaning to the idea of "in media res." It starts in the middle of the story of the main characters. The reader isn't given enough of the back story to really understand what attracts the main characters to each other. There also isn't enough to allow the reader to understand what motivates the characters. When dealing with a character like Wraith, there needed to be more. Even a few flashbacks in nightmares would have helped to allow the reader to understand him more. Without that, the "monster" seems like a separate entity, sort of like what most authors do when writing about werewolves.
There were also a bunch of things that stretched a bit too far in relation to the timeline.
One thing that I had issues with was the ages of the characters, but not for the reasons most would. My issue was Wraith was supposedly close to the female protagonist's father. Serving together/working together in some capacity, that gave the impression of them being the same age, or Spartan perhaps being a little younger/older, but not in any appreciable way. If we go with her being 23 and Wraith being 39 (I believe those were the ages mentioned at different points if I'm remembering correctly), that means Spartan got his wife pregnant at 15, which is fine, it happens. However, then, doing the timeline of the other events, including Spartan having worked with Wraith, starting an MC, having years to make it prosperous, then having the issue of going legit create a riff with former "brothers," and the ensuing years between the beginning of the war and the current problem, it stops making any sense at all from a timeline perspective.
I know...I probably think about the minor details a bit too much, but the continuity issue this caused in my head made it difficult to just enjoy the story.
While this was an okay book, and I liked the characters well enough, it could have been significantly better with more of a back story and addressing the timeline issues. -
Wraith by Franca Storm is book one in the Iron Kings MC series. The book tells the story of Finn and Ashley. Finn aka Wraith lives like a ghost, trying to stay of the grid as much as possible after an incident in his former life nearly took his life and left him scarred. It is only when his old MC brother comes looking for him with help in protecting his daughter that Finn has to come out of hiding and put himself out on a limb again without waking the monster in him that he keeps tightly under wraps.
Ashley is a former MC princess, after the death of her mother and her overbearing MC President father trying to take over her life, she is trying to make it on her own as a tattoo artist. That is until Finn makes a reappearance in her life. The one man that she can’t stop thinking about and who she helped heal from his terrible injuries many years before. If only he would see her as more than just a pest! Now she is forced to leave her well fought freedom behind and put her trust in Finn and the MC that she tried to leave behind.
This book is full of action, not only with the MC itself but also with Ashley and Finn trying to navigate their feelings for each other. They are both quite stubborn, but Finn definitely needs to open his eyes to Ashley a bit more and see that she isn’t scared of his monster! She is tough and sweet and certainly balances out the darker side of Finn. The two of them together is explosive!
Even with the danger they face, they do it together. I particularly enjoyed that Finn is a dark hero and makes no apologies for it, even when he finds that he can’t always get the blood off his hands.
This was a great start to a new series for me and I can’t wait to read more from this author! The book is suspenseful, dark at times and passionate. A great addition to the MC genre.

Hiding in the shadows and being a Ghost is not all that easy, especially when your name is Wraith and destruction is your game. Wraith has been trying his hardest to live a simple life in the shadows, but soon all that will be put to the test when his best friend needs his help with a matter of protection, not for himself but for the one and only thing he has left that is most precious to him. Can Wraith do what needs to be done while staying the Ghost he has tried to be and contain his monster or will the precious cargo be his undoing?
“Once upon a time I'd been a monster cut off from everyone and everything. Until she comes along. She brought out the good in me. And I brought out the power in her. She roared with fire. I’d discovered peace.” - Wraith
Ashley Tate is not your normal MC Princess, she is more the wanting to discover everything there is with her overbearing father, running doesn't seem to be working and now with the threat that is coming is it possible that Ashley will soon be thrown into the whirlwind of war or will her protection by the one man she has longed for be her finally chance at a normal life without an overbearing parent?
Franca Storm is a new to me author, i had a little trouble getting into the book at first, but soon all the action started and i was sucked right in. The more I read about Wraith the more I rooted for him. I look forward to seeing more in this series. -
Wraith is the first in a new series by Franca Storm and if you like MC books, you're going to want to set aside some time for Finn and Ashley!
After a career in black ops turns deadly, Finn becomes a ghost. He lives a solitary life completely in the shadows with only his own demons to keep him company. But when a brother from his military days calls for help, Finn can't turn him down, even knowing it'll call forth the beast he has to keep on a short leash. Protecting his friend's daughter will require special skills from his past life and more restraint than he may possess.
Ashley fled MC life after her mother was caught in the middle of a turf war. She desperately wants to live life as an unknown but being an MC princess means all her dad's enemies love to use her as a pawn in their vicious games. When Finn shows up to protect her, she's ripped from the life she's just started to create. Sure, running from bad guys sucks but being isolated with the only man you've been able to think about for the past couple years could be worse!
I loved this story and the connection (or tether as it's called) Finn and Ashley had. It's well paced with plenty of suspense and action peppered with yummy times between them. It's also a great thought provoking look at PTSD and the ghosts that live within us. Really great read! -

I am a HUGE fan of MC romance so I am a bit harder to please than most.
While this was an easy to read, fast-paced story; I will not be continuing the series.
Although a few names are mentioned we didn't get to know any characters other than Finn and Ashley and a touch of Scott.
*I didn't really connect with Scott because most of his page-time was just being mentioned by Ashley, Finn or one of the guys. We didn't actually see his personality other than his devotion to his daughter.
*Finn was boring to me. He is almost 40 years old and lamenting the feelings he has for Ashley, just because he killed people as a soldier. As the daughter of an MC president, the shock factor for his past is utterly nonexistent.
*Ashley was boring and horrible. Here's why... One, you grew up the MC you KNOW what kind of situations that could put you in; so regardless of how annoying it is you need to be protected. Two, your own MOTHER was MURDERED by the MC currently hunting you. Three, you thought going off by yourself without even SAYING anything to anyone was a good idea. Four, you have a gun in YOUR HAND, while your daddy is being threatened in front of you and you click the safety on and TOSS the gun!?! -
I wanted to like this book more than I did, but I think I will try the second book in the series mainly because I really enjoyed the author’s writing style and the MC characters are very interesting. The reasons, for me at least, for why this book wasn’t great starts with the fact that it relies way too much on the insta-live troupe and we don’t see/read the start of the characters interactions. Their initial meeting and interactions aren’t part of this story and that just makes the reader feel like they are missing the start of the relationship. There wasn’t a build up or tension between the heroine and hero, it was done in about 2-3 chapters. Ashley is annoying. She’s supposedly this tough biker princess who then goes on to say something to her man about how murder is always wrong. Eye roll. Spartan and Wraith are supposed to be these intense and highly skilled operatives yet they keep getting deceived by numerous men, especially Spartan. Again, I will probably give the second book a chance and hope for a better build up between the main characters and not want to roll my eyes at the dumb decisions the characters make.

This is the 1st in a new series and is Finn / Wraith and Ashley’s story. Finn is broody and sexy and had a career in black ops but when a mission turned deadly, he became a ghost living in the shadows and living a solitary life with just his demons haunting him. When Finn is tracked down by his old friend Scott, the President of the “Iron Kings” who is requesting a favour from him, he know he cannot turn it down as Scott was his saviour when he needed him. Scott is requesting that Finn protect his daughter Ashley who is strong and independent, as the club’s rivals “The Rogues” have resurfaced and she is the most precious thing he has left. This is a beautifully written story which is intriguing, and is action packed, and with suspense, revenge, violence, twists, and love, which all leads to a steamy and all-consuming read. This talented author has done an outstanding job in penning this tale, and I cannot wait to read more in this fascinating series.

Finn, aka Wraith, is a tortured soul with a dangerous past living so far off the grid that there's only a few who know he exists, and they're in the Iron Kings MC. Ashley is the MC princess who has moved away from the MC since her father is very overprotective, especially when it comes to men. However, she's in danger, so the MC asks Finn to protect her & keep her safe, and he says yes. These two have had a push & pull going ever since she helped him get well after he was hurt in one of his dangerous missions. Now that he's going to be hanging with her so that chemistry isn't about to be denied. The twists are crazy enough that the f-bombs are dropping all over the place, while I stayed on the edge of my seat because you already know them getting closer will have some complications. Oh, and there's the fact that his demons could take over everything so yeah, this was an exciting & emotional ride that you need to one click it! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Wraith is a ghost and he has been for a long time. That is until he is called on for an old friend to help protect his daughter. Spartan and Wraith go way back. He doesn’t hesitate when asked to help. Ashley is tired of her life constantly being interfered by her father’s club. Then things change. Wraith comes and saves the day. Ashley and Wraith have met before and developed a connection. Wraith believes she deserves someone better for her. Someone who won’t keep her in dark away from the world. Could he have a chance in the light though? If he joins her father’s club then he would be protected. Will it be enough though? This book was a bit of a rollercoaster ride for me. There was action, danger, romance, and more. Wraith is an amazing man. He is fighting his demons and the one drawing him in to the light is Ashley. Ashley is dealing with her feelings toward her father and his club. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I am loving these characters. Great job Franca.

The Iron Kings MC Series starts off with a bang in Book 1 - Wraith. This is the story of Wraith (real name Finn), a formidable ghost of a man, and Ashley, the daughter of the Iron Kings MC's prez, the man who is owed a favor. Ashley has wanted nothing to do with the MC for quite some time, thanks to her father basically checking out of parenthood duty, but when trouble comes knocking, a favor is called in and Wraith is assigned to protect Ashley at any cost. The tension between the two is thick thanks to Ashley developing a crush on Wraith when he was being nursed back to health at the clubhouse years ago. You can imagine where it goes from there, so I won't spoil anything. I'm excited to see where the series is going to go and who's next in line for their story to be told. This was a new-to-me author, and definitely a good writer worth reading.
-
I really enjoyed Finn and Ashley’s story. Finn is smart, stealthy and a ghost. He fights his demons every day. He’s always stayed to himself never thinking he was worth anyone’s love or happiness. When his good friend needs help protecting his daughter from a rival MC Finn is the one he goes to. Finn knows he’s unworthy of Ashley’s love but she gives it to him anyway and I can totally understand why. I’d fall for him too. Keeping Ashley safe is Finns top priority. Falling for her was never an option but the big bad scared alpha dude definitely falls hard. Finn and Ashley need to go through some tough times to come out on the other side but they fight for each other and I expect they get their HEA. I’m looking forward to the next Iron Kings Book.
