A prophecy foretold … the fate of thousands on the line …
With one major enemy town behind them, the GreenPiece clan marches onward to new conquests. Facing Oren and his monster army are the combined forces of the so-called ‘civilized races’, intent on halting his invasion of their territory.
Reality blurs as Oren fights harder than ever to save the trapped players, his clan, and his family.

Life Reset: Conquest is book 5 of New Era Online, a LitRPG / GameLit bestselling series that combines settlement development, a monster protagonist, a deranged AI companion who’s obsessed with testicular quips, and a desire to explore what it means to be a human living inside a video game.

I didn't like this book as much as the last book. The players are starting to come under his banner to fight back and try to get out of the game. That started in the last book. That was why i was so surprised the other players were barely in this story. The twins that have been with him since the second book barely had an dialogue in this one. There were some of the newer crazier players but still there wasn't as much interactions as I would have thought. Oren did a lot of solo missions in this one. Some of those I thought was pretty good but some of them were a little over the top

Things are getting into the macro level. Kingdom building, boss raids, and putting all the threads together.

Vic isn't in this one much, which is a little sad. The introduction of other players became a little odd. I would love to know the back story to some of them and just why they are the way they are because since if their actions seem more "because plot" than because of their personality.

But otherwise a great story with a lot of pieces laid out in the board and promises for an epic battle on the horizon.

    Book five

Mistakes: Very well written, without any mistakes.

Plot: This book is mostly conquering as the Greepeace Clan goes to war against the rest of the world.

Characters: The cast is getting rather large and harder to keep track of. Expect it to get even larger.

    9/10

Ok I admit it, this author was the first time I’ve ever signed up to a newsletter because I just needed to know when the next book was coming out. The perfect book for someone wanting to dip their toe into the world of LitRPG books, this one has levelling, crafting, special powers, bad guys to hate and a foreboding worry that the MC’s world is going to crash down around them at any point. I listened to the first book in the series while in the car going to a meeting and it ruined my day that I had to leave it behind to deal with boring work.
This year I finished the series with the last book and it was wrapped up rather well though it was a bit of a bitter pill for me to swallow. I didn’t want it to end.

Author reveals to main character Oren, the "prophecy" that there is a "chosen one" that he will have a "mixed progeny" that will be all powerful and "solve all of the troubles and mysteries of the NEO Game" VRMMORPG (Virtual Reality Massively Multi-player Online Role Playing Game). Yes! New Era Online, NEO Game novel series is Matrix with Sword Art Online, Goblins and other beast-folk like monsters as NPC's (Non-Player Characters).
So the main plot arc was Oren trying to log out of the game, getting revenge on the player (travelers) that betrayed him and stole his belongings and his guild the "Manapulators". But Oren never really got his things or his guild back, much less his human player character mage. Nor is he actively trying to "find, protect and save" the over four thousand players (travelers) stuck in the game.
Oren is invading and conquering all of the small and medium sized villages around his Green Piece Clan Village. He finds one or two players in each place, but not the over four thousand that cannot log out from this NEO Game.
Because Author is running out of ideas, he has created a "Television-like" program within NEO Game that the VI's (Virtual Intelligence Characters) made by the Game's AI (Artificial Intelligence) character Shiva makes and designs. These VI's bet, create commentary and are all expectant of Oren, his daughter and the rest of the players (travelers) within the NEO Game. There is only one book left to save the over four thousand players. Oren really doesn't know reality from alternate and virtual reality, he is so invested in NEO, that he forgets his humanity and has nothing to live for outside of the game.

Wish there was more but the hype is building

Book 5 ended up being a really good addition to the series. my only wish is that there was more skill development additional cool abilities and the like that came up but as with any book that comes to this point in their series you start hitting a much more of a macro-level and says of micromanagement. the plot line has made quite the progression since origins original days scrambling for every scrap of food and every warrior he could. I'm very excited to see what comes about in the next book. Keep up the great ball jokes and all the humor. BALLS!

    Fun

Oren is still going strong. He is expanding his clan and plotting the freedom of the trapped players. New plot points are introduced that will guide the overall arc and the destination is starting to get sketched in. The read is still fast and fun, the pace steady, and the character growing. The challenges the MC face are reasonable for what’s going on and the story and character progression. Enjoy

I don't know how it's possible, but each book Shemer Kuznits writes gets better and better.

The Dire Totem, Oren, leader of the GreenPiece clan, keeps getting stronger. This book is like Civilization, if it was a Virtual Reality Real Time Strategy Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

There were also some easter eggs in the end of the book. Can't wait to see what all the prophecies and new monster races will lead to.

At this point, this feels very very repetitive. Conquest. Development. Conquest. My daughter. Oh no. My vow. Oh no. The whole thing became very tedious very fast. Luckily, there's only one book in the serious. I really enjoyed the premises but I am left wanting more and less. More action, less development. More player interactions, less Ws for Oren just because. This is a VRMMO, but it really feels like an early 00s ARPG. Hopefully, the last book is a W.

    Not as many balls jokes!

Another great book, far more war focused again than town focused but the interactions between the characters were far more interesting and Lirian is starting to become a far more interesting character if the fatherly overprotection is still an issue in a way as it means s you really don’t see that much of her skills. I am definitely looking forward to how all of this is going to turn out at the end.

So far this series has not been especially ambitious with 3 stars all around with the exception of the third book (which actually pulled off a solid twist). Although the writing is cleaner than the first book, this entry is probably the least impressive as the story has been on autopilot for the last book and a half. I’m holding out hope the author takes the finale in a very interesting direction, but if not the series will still end up a fun, unambitious but easy to read adventure.

    A great addition

Great addition to an already stellar series. The author really delivered with advances to the plot and character development. No great cliffhangers or monumental info drops. A very enjoyable book that came pleasantly soon after the last one. Looking forward to more.

    Crushing it!

Somehow the release of this book snuck by me. Just finished reading another series and had to force myself to finish the last book in that series and was needing something good to cleanse the palate and this book was just what I needed. A great balance of action and humor and always looking forward to what comes next!

    Enjoying the series

The idea of a player being forced into a monster character and having to advance with that handicap is entertaining. The gamble of becoming a follower of a truly evil god has paid off but I'm sure there are challenges ahead. Go goblins and monsters, help free the players!
