  Well, I am already hooked on this new series by Ms. Celeste Jones and so excited that the next book, Cowboy’s Orders, will release on September 1st. I have always enjoyed a western, and this story has mystery, suspense, secrets, and romance. Throw in some likable characters, plenty of interaction, angst, and romance, and you have a wonderful tale.
  
  “Oh darlin’, there is no way we can get this wrong. Remember, everything between us is just the way it should be.”
  
  Sheriff Cal Watson has found his love with Tassie Young, hired help for the boarding house. It will be a short, whirlwind romance and marriage. While Tassie is young, she proves to be a hard worker and devoted to Cal. But Tassie is a young woman with secrets—and this author did a great job at spinning this tale and keeping the mystery alive.
  
  Cal will be having some thefts in town that he will have to investigate, and yet never have a good lead---or at least not right away. Tassie didn’t have an easy life, knows that things are expensive, and her questioning Cal about them will land her in trouble with him. Will she learn to accept gifts from him and trust his judgment?
  
  “You are the treasure of my heart, Tassie.”
  
  The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly, and that all plays into this tale. It will have a loving but alpha husband who is willing to spank his naughty girl when she needs it. It will be love and trust---until the secrets of the past get in the way. Will Tassie’s history come to haunt her face to face? How will she and Cal work through her past---after all, he is the sheriff?
  
  “Look here and see the truth about yourself.”
  
  The story has strong characters that include friends who will have their own tale in the next book. Tassie is a woman of mystery, and what will happen when Cal learns of her past? Will he reject her or prove to her that his love is for life?
  
  The story does have some beautifully portrayed, explicit scenes between a married couple, one who is learning how to please her husband, and he is delighted with his new wife. It has a few mild discipline scenes and one punishment scene. Nothing is over the top; it is all done in love and sets their marriage back on track.

  This is the first book in a new series by Celeste Jones. Cal, the handsome local sheriff of Juniper Junction, falls in love with the girl who works in the boarding house where he is living. She never talks about her past, but he has faith in her good heart. Tessie adores Cal. She has led a difficult life of heartbreak and disappointment. After she resolved to change her path, her new life brought Cal right into her heart. But of course her past is going to refuse to cooperatively stay hidden in the past.
  
  This easy to read story has mystery and suspense, passion and domestic discipline, and wonderful characters who deserve their happy ever after. The author has done a great job of creating a town and populating it with interesting secondary characters. I am hoping that Jake and Posey will soon be brought together and have their story told!

  A good western story , interesting and entertaining.
  The story's plot and the characters of this book are really good.
  The problems were resolved but how they got so escalated ? Different time ,different approach
  I really enjoyed reading it, loved Cal , the strong man as was expected and Tassie's innocent and very strong at the same time.
  Looking forward to reading more from this series, I did enjoy this one .

  This was a great first book. The way you just into the story is refreshing. You don't have to get all the information given to you all at once to read a story.
  Cal is the town sheriff and he has asked maid Tassie to marry him. This first book is about their story and how they get along as a newly married couple.
  Tassie keeps her past hidden from everyone even Cal. This is how she ends up hiding things from him that she really shouldn't. It all comes to head when the town gets a passing medicine show that is connected to Tassie's past.

  I felt that the author had the ability to convey some depth to the personalities of the characters bringing life and likability to every person.
  The writing draws you in and keeps you interested until the end.

  First in a new series, this was Cal and Tassie's story.
  Cal is the local Sheriff in Juniper Junction and Tassie works at the local boarding house were he stays.
  They have an instant attraction and fall in love, but Tassie has some secrets from her past she wants to

  But the past often catches up and you will have to read to see what happens!.
