Also, can we all appreciate and agree that Hectate’s outfit changes are phenomenal and Hermes’s man bun is all I need. And Persephone with pierced ears is soooo precious.
Anyway, I’m ready for war! Let’s gooooo. Let my ship sail Rachelllllll! 😭😭

I am acutally caught up with Lore Olympus now. Who would've thought? It only took me three days to read 180+ episodes. I am totally fine and not loosing it. LMAO. Not sure though if I will read it weekly or just wait for half a year and then do another binge. We'll see.
Season 2 (thus far) was still fun to read and I'm still engaged in the story but I couldn't help but loose a little bit of interest along the way because certain plot lines just take tooo damn long for my liking, e.g. the reckoning with Apollo [I'm just so sick of his character by this point and I just keep hoping that he'll finally catch those hands], Persephone stepping away from TGOEM and properly talking to her mother, or Eros figuring out that Ampelus is Psyche [it finally happened but it took too damn long].
I am really curious to see how many seasons Smythe will end up writing and drawing for Lore Olympus because there are still so many cool myths to work into the story ... also I really wanna see Sephe as Queen of the Underworld and getting really comfortable in that position ... but that probably won't happen until the end of season 3, judging from the pacing of the previous seasons. Alas!
Oh, and I'm also not the biggest fan of playing into the "Hades has had such a traagic and sad childhood" ploy because it makes his character even more one-dimensional and predictable. I want Hades to be a bit more irritating (not necessarily in regards to his relationship to Sephe, he can stay soft on that front, but in regards to how he treats other characters, especially those who disrespect him – he is the KING of the Underworld, for fuck's sake ... let him kill a bitch). -

Could I fall more in love with this series than I already was?? Well apparently I can. I have no one to blame for the torture I am gonna endure awaiting the upcoming episodes. But it was worth it.
Season 1 was great and Season 2 takes it up a notch higher. With stakes higher and Hades and Perse coming closer, I felt like walking on the edge of a cliff. It was tense, beautiful and so deep. Hades and Kore being vulnerable together is probably the sweetest thing I have read so far this year. Oh sweet tears😭😭😭.
I am utterly in love with this series. I am so invested in these characters that I need the whole thing rn. Waiting patiently is gonna be a huge challenge. -

Have absolutely loved seeing Hera's character arc.
Also, Hades Hades Hades Hades Hadessss.
Honestly, there are so many good moments, great relationships and dynamics, and I'm just overwhelmed thinking of them all on this very bingey journey over the last twenty four hours.
Oh, and the art? The colours? The stylistic choices? Holy fuck, just incredible. -

Smythe has come so far!! I must say I kinda miss the old, more relaxed animation, but I appreciate her evolution as an artist.
This one is very very heavy but the love story will make your heart happy. Lots of trauma and really amazing characters.
It's a very very fun take on Greek mythology and in particular, the story of Persephone and Hades. I won't even mention how well drawn the characters are... I mean, I will, but I won't drool on my phone.
I think it's actually only halfway done, but I'm tired of this sitting forever on my "currently reading" list, and honestly, there's zero doubt in my mind it's going to be a five star review anyway! -

3,5 hvězdy - trochu to ztrácí na tempu, přestože některá odhalení byla skvělá, začíná to být natahovaný. Dokonce i samotný soud bohů mi přišel hrozně zdlouhavý, a ten závěr, no... Pořád se mi to moc líbí, ale začíná to nabývat rozměrů telenovely, kdy se k jedné postavě dostaneme až za padesát dílů, kdy na ni úplně do té doby zapomenete. Ale budiž, pořád jsem zvědavá, co si autorka vymyslí do další série.

Things get more serious in season 2 and there's a lot more depth to the characters. Waiting for a new episode every week will be torturous😫 -

The story is a bit too complicated but the progress of Hades and Persephone's relationship is worth applauding, so is their coming to terms with their mental health and underlying trauma. What keeps ticking me off though are these DEEP PURPLE BASTARDS- Zeus and Apollo. Another thing, the politics. I miss the humour from the first season, but then again the things have taken a darker tone and they are surely going to get worse.
