This was such a damn roller coaster!
So many emotions, so many plot twists.. starting out with the first damn paragraph!
Cre- how much can someone take?! my boy is getting hit from all sides. dutch dying. josie taking her dads side (dummy), siblings pressuring him, and then he gets introduced to his mama who is an opp!
Josie- idk what it is about the women of DAK universe.. but they're all dumb.😂 girl, your daddy was crazy af. he was lowkey psychotic.. & you ignored all the red flags. but... im sure the life insurance policy will be fat lmaoo.
Cire- girl. you are a hot ass mess. you let guilt & fear of kalou keep you away for 25 years.. but all of a sudden you wanna shake shit up now? you should've stood up to your daddy when you got pregnant! now cream got killed behind you because you didnt wanna stannup when you had the chance. you deserve a bullet off GP.
Joseph- rot in hell.
Rose- your time is ticking sis.
Lowe- you still a real one.. but you was kinda p* whipped too.
Lets see what book 3 is about! -
I am invested in seeing how this plays out. Damn… Dutch a casualty in the chaos. THIS WAS MESSY and WEB OF LIES. Their parents' sins had a price, and it is returning. How can the family endure this? If not one thing, then another .The strain is so intense. Although Josephine wasn't my favorite character in this novel, I felt horrible for Cre and Jo. Every time there is a cliffhanger, it only becomes worse than the previous.
How much more can we take? Because at this point idk. -
The Carter kids are reaping what their parents sowed
The past of Cream and Coco are coming back to haunt the Carter children. Throughout the book Cre tries to stay afloat as he is being hit from all different angles. Cre can’t catch a break. From death, to a broken heart to bring lied to his entire life. He’s taking loss after loss and somehow he’s prevailing. It seems as if the universe truly doesn’t want to see him and Jo together. Josephine had to choose between her father and her love. When Josephine ends up on the other side of the fence it’s hard to tell where her loyalty lies. This book featured a lot of flashbacks which helps the reader understand how everyone got to the point they are at now. The question is how far will the head of the Kamala cartel go? I didn’t like Josephine’s character in book 2. She was shown to be very naive. All the signs of who her father really was was there and yet she chose to ignore them. I didn’t like how she played Cre. I gave the book 4 stars because the amount of spelling and grammatical errors in the book was bothersome. -
Whew lawd!
My heart is literally breaking in my chest for both Cre and Josephine... All they wanted was to love and grow with each other yet the lives of their parents have come back to haunt them... It’s sad that they are laying the price for their parents sin. I hate that all the kids are spiraling out of control and all they need is each other. Too many secrets and too many lives I hope it’s some one left standing strong in the end. I’m rooting for Cre. Definitely can’t wait for the finale to wrap up this series -
WOW
The Carter kids just can't catch a break. They experience loss after loss only for the past to come back and shake everything up. Truths are revealed and the enemy has started his acts of vengeance. Kalou one evil man and I see why Cire stayed away but how will her return make things right. Poor Josephine and after that ending how will these characters be able to move forward. And where is Rose??? This series will definitely have your emotional at an all time high. Hoping for the best outcome in part 3 -
Awesome
I love CRE & JOSIE’s relationship. They can feel when each other is around, hurt, sad or whatever. I just wish CRE’s real mom family wasn’t so mean towards her. I liked the way DAK took us to the point where it all began. It made everything come together... Come on August 2020. A great read. -
Warning: you will be conflicted! The author writes the story so well, you don’t know whether to be angry at characters, sad for characters, cuss at them. The author sets the scene in a way where you feel the thick tension, the soul ties of your favorite characters, the pain of the losses that cripple your fave characters. This series is definitely going to bond you with the characters.

Whew!
Damn Dutch! Josephine is pissing me off following up her father's foolishness and acting naive. I knew she was going to surfaced and cause problems. My poor Cre! Lowe is every kids dream godfather in spite of. He stay ready! Aaliyah is annoying as hell. That ending though!!! -
😱😱😱
What the hell!?!? The way the book ended, was crazy. To find out Chloe wasn’t CRE's Birth mother was crazy. For Cire to think CRE was going to welcome her with open arms and she hasn’t been in his left is crazy. My heart goes out to JO. I can’t say much because I want y’all to enjoy CRE 2. So, sit back and enjoy CRE 2.

Amazing
I don’t even know where to start. One thing I do know is I couldn’t put this book down cause I needed to know what was next. I’m angry at the moment so I’m gonna go ahead and move on to 3. -
I can’t even!
Like omg! I see why Cire ran. Her father is insane! Cre has been through so much. Both books are so good I can’t wait to read 3 because the Carters gonna have to turn ish around. Boo shocked me he want all the smoke! -
The kamara's are ruthless! Why is Josephine
Paying for everybody sins . She is innocent and for kalou to hurt her the way he did I hope the Carter's handle him .. part 2 was great! Read I had to see what happened next. Taking her baby all bets are off! -
Yes
The plot thickens. I’m sure the baby is fine we just have to pray for Cre and Jo. I think the granddaddy kept the baby. Ready for part 3 -
Fire Read
This series keeps getting better and better! This book is good from the beginning to the end! I cannot wait for part 3. -
A few less editing issues than the first book but still they were annoying I pushed through because the storyline is actually great. This author can write but I would not recommend this series unless the editing is better or I would recommend it with the disclaimer that the editing is horrible and who would want to read it then? I really would like to read more from this author because as I’ve said the story is great but I don’t think I would pull myself to push through another sloppily written book.

All about the Benjamin's
These families have some issues. Reminds me of growing up and you have 2 families at war, one from each side falls for the other. Than boom, it's a war. -
4.5
