These letters and images create, by their forms and the mutations of these forms originating in the body, a fluctuating picture that must correspond objectively to a transcendental collagic representation of the final and highest realities. Whoever says “loss of identity” also says Mutations, metamorphosis, transvaluation, poetic creation. Between the two there is a distance, a dangerous journey. What is the risk? Bewilderment, madness, suicide. Mutations is not striving for another being, but for another mode of being. It is more than anything something which transforms the body. It is the sustained, discrete violence of an incision that is not apparent in the body of the text, a calculated insemination of the proliferating collages through which the texts are transformed, deform each other, contaminate each other’s content, tend at times to reject each other, or pass elliptically one into the other and become regenerated in the repetition.

Mutation is a means of evolution by word, by letter, by genes, by history, by mind - with mood, an alternative atmosphere inherent upon the opening passages - warping, beyond just prose misalignment but by the genetic curvature of word and word processing whether formed and shared by tongue, via lips, via the id, it is a manifesto of misguided uneven ingenuity. Mutational. Ever evolving.

Mutation(s) as book, as form, as ideal, as gospel, as meditation born from a mental disease - is a corrosive, hallucinatory book, birthing newer variants of concept and analysis. Mutations as both concept and design, fully naked. Raw. Intense. Sensual.

Spoken, written, ordained, conceptualized, exemplified, mocked, eulogised in this mutational form, that shall be known as Gar J. Shiporan's MUT/AT/ION - amphetamine.
Take it in pill form. Smoke it. Leave it on the side, as its influence not only corrupts but purifies that of which is unquantifiable.
To blow outward, runny goo and matter everywhere, it's own mutational humanly mattered self, formations from ideals, of form, mere literacy 101 doctrines - all destroyed to absolve all issues birthed from LITERATURE and its form, as shoved down our throats in school.

Mutations of concept and of form, and form centred upon belief, and as a structure, a miasma of fragmentation made to eat upon order - for a disorder to come to the fore; of thought where physical exactitude is the only way to vomit it up. Via the mechanics of prose, harried by dismemberment of a specimens of form known only in a meta contextual vein - where it is left unspoken, unread - where rules on concepts and ethics pertaining to literary mutation, that are rotten from the inside out to be shat out and spat out - remain elusive.

It is a means of development in the defilement of a devolved and ever devolving form.

This book, with prose, and collage, paired together in a most grotesquely beautiful book put out by Infinity Land Press, takes the basis of form, in thought, in application, whether written or illustriously captured in collage pieces, they speak upon the artistic nature of mutation and the lesser positive degrees of form, as such as the cancerous form it usually
    metastasize's into.

Jumbled together, it is fused together, coalescing and creating a new, yet ever antiquated way of processing. Lost to modernity, there is a mapping and a web work of quotes spread and stretched from - pertaining to mutations, all in juxtaposition with the variants contained in the semiotics of prose; where the ontology is exposed, rare nerves, raw nerves, play on those endings, with philosophy and theological variants left entwined as a psycho-physical offering of feeling. This book is that. And so much more.

Altogether, the book as a physical and meta physical form is forever mutating and will remain mutated, translated and evolved to an almost virulent viral strain of literary and illustrative disease, that eats, and will continually eat at body and the readers conscious self, long after reading it.

Shipley is a genius. Horan is a genius. Mutations is a masterpiece.
