Now, he must contend with a group of beautiful elves that have no idea how to say no or behave in his world. They take what they want, drink what they want and party how they want.

When Jon discovers they are pirates, his life will be turned into a maelstrom of action, intrigue, romance and seaside humor from which none of them can steer away.

My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves! is a fun sexy story of a nautical nature. It contains humor, outlandish adventure, lewd acts, everyday life, some cursing, cotton candy, pointed ears, magical pistols, sharp teeth, a witch and there might be a giant monster somewhere in there. This story is for mature readers, 18 and up. Avast! There be elves in these waters!

My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves!: Book 1 is a very entertaining steamy adventure fantasy. Let’s face it, the phrase “lesbian pirate elves” alone guaranteed a sale! Note that, while the elves do indeed love and play with each other, they quickly include the Urthling Jon into their crew. And yes, I do mean into! It’s not just the seas that are described as salty in this book!

Humor is virtually non-stop, and often completely unexpected! Who knew that pirate elves would be mesmerized by news on TV…and often would split-screen the television so they could also watch hardcore porn at the same time! The four elves each have their own very distinct personalities, and narrator Sierra Kline does a fantastic job with all of the voices.

Initially, Jon is tricked/blackmailed into becoming their sponsor so they can stay on Urth, but as he and the get to know each other, they end up pledging themselves to each other, and to the elves actual goal: to overthrow the evil elvish emperor.

So if you like elves, witches, magic, battles with sea serpents and lots of silliness during frequent discussions of sex, having sex and thinking about sex…get this audiobook! Easily 5*, and I’ve already listened to it twice!

It's like a light-novel with hentai, but written entirely in the passive voice
-This is a light novel that is classical anime harem. A little more Ecchi than hentai, but there are sex scenes.
I grabbed this book before I noticed it was written by Eden Redd. When I did notice, I was optimistic that Miss Redd might try out a different literary style. That hope was dashed, This is Eden Redd's style through and through.
So what is the passive voice? in this case it's an entire book with no possessive designaters. His hands don't grip the wheel, -hands grip the wheel. The couple on a date don't eye each other up and down, -eyes rove over eager bodies. Who's hands? Who's eyes? are there disembodied eyes floating around? Eden Redd dose not always make it clear and many thing appear to just be happening without context or any reference to character or agency. Used sparingly this can create a moody atmosphere like candle lite and a soft focus filter. Over used it creates and etheric fog of disorientation and a kind of out of body vertigo. Also mild annoyance.
But hey! That's Eden Redd. There is only one of her, and if she changed her style there would be none.

I just discovered this fine author through another author I follow, and was curious about which book to read first. Based on this title, I expected a light-hearted humorous romp, but I was very surprised at what I found. Eden has an innate talent at world-building, and her characters are very well crafted. The storyline had a nice flow to it, and the sexual content was an integral part of the story, and not just a gratuitous "let's add some sex here" addition. After enjoying this book, I only have one question: "Why the Hell Did I Not Know About Eden Redd 6 Years Ago?"

    My Rating: 4.25/5 stars

Avast ye mateys! They say dead men tell no tales, but sexy elves from another realm certainly do, and My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves! is guaranteed to shiver ye timbers.

Eden Redd achieves the perfect mix of erotic romance, urban fantasy, and portal fantasy here, mixing elves, pirates, magic, and superpowers. It’s a story that varies from sweet and wholesome, to action-packed and humorous, to bold and sexy. The characters are the main attraction here, strong enough and likable enough to carry the story without the erotic elements – although that certainly adds a fun element.

Jon is a lonely inspector, working the seaside docks nearest the magical portal between Urth and Aquris. He is a man with secrets, a past and a family from which he’d like to distance himself. Without spoiling the who and why, he is possessed of supernatural luck, as we see in the opening scenes where he strolls carelessly through a mess of downed power lines. Captain Lillian Silk of the Dark Heart is an elf sailor with secrets of her own (being a pirate is only one of them) with a shipment of ambrosia fruit to be inspected. When an innocent movement leads to an even more innocent kiss, a bond is formed, one that leaves Jon reeling as Captain Silk and her crew of beautiful, dangerous female elves arrange to live with him – and take him as their shared Shullkar (or boyfriend).

The fish-out-of-water aspect of the elves is the source of much of the story’s humor, with TV (news and porn) and a seaside carnival some of the highlights. The awkward will-they-won’t-they dynamic of the polyamorous romance is perfectly played, emotional and entertaining, with the well-earned moments of playful eroticism accentuating the character connections. It’s more than just playful fun, though – the Captain has some dark secrets, a past history that makes it hard for her to open up to Jon, and her crew has an even bigger secret that threatens them all.

I will say no more about that bigger secret, because it drives the entire second half of the book, full of fantastic battles and exciting confrontations. Comedic, romantic, and action-packed, My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves! is my favorite Eden Redd story yet and I really hope she returns to the world again soon.

Did you ever see a book and think, “I need to drop everything I’m doing and read this right how?” For me, “My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves” by Eden Redd was exactly that kind of book. I mean, someone’s girlfriends are pirate elves! How can you possibly see that and not need to know more?!

I’m thrilled to say that the story absolutely lives up to the title. From the first chapter I was immediately enamored with Redd’s richly detailed world. The story takes place on “Urth,” which, like the word, is basically Earth but not quite. I thought that was a clever way to instantly establish a “real world” setting that is familiar and commonplace while at the same time allowing for fantastical elements. Elements such as the mysterious, foggy wormhole that leads to the alternate world of Aquris. And you know what they’ve got over in Aquris?

If you guessed pirate elves who are girlfriend material, you are SO right!

Our hero Jon is living a normal, ordinary life when Captain Lillian Silk, a sexy, redheaded, pointy eared pirate, sails through the portal and into his life. And when a chance misunderstanding leads to an unintended kiss, a bond is formed that will change his life forever. Soon he finds himself unwillingly sharing his apartment with four very different, and very assertive elven girls from another dimension. And hilarity ensues.

I loved the fish-out-of-water element of Jon dealing with these girls who basically party-crash his life. He was often pushed around, but he never felt weak or out of control. He remains totally unflappable where a lesser man would be completely and totally… flapped, I guess. But this may be because Jon is hiding a few surprising secrets of his own…

“My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves” is an unputdownable romp with an enticing blend of high-fantasy elements and superhero action. The characters are all well written and uniquely individual, and the love stories (with all the lovely steamy bits) are expertly handled. With moments of levity and heartache in perfect balance, “My Girlfriends are Pirate Elves” is a story about honor, loyalty, and making sacrifices to protect the ones we love.

    Amazing blending of worlds

Initially I'm not a fan of pirate themed stuff, but I initially read this book because of the author. Eden has never steered me wrong with anything that she's written. I was really glad that I did decide to read the book as rather than simply being dubbed as a "pirate" book does this a disservice. There are several different genres of books being blended together in this novel and they are all handled with care and utilized to full effect. All, and I do mean ALL of the characters of this book are far more than they initially seem. As this is an aspect the author is always excellent at handling, the growth and change of the characters are excellently done. Another interesting aspect of the series is the adult situations. In so many other books the characters meet and then immediately go off to recreate every page of the Kama Sutra, whereas in this book it's important to the characters to know more about each other and connect to each other in a more meaningful fashion than just the physical. The main aspect of this particular book is world building for more books in the series rather than a full story arc. That's not to say that there's not a beginning middle and end and that there's no action, but it's that the laying the foundation for more to come is what's most important in the novel. Eden is a rare author that always leaves me wanting to learn more about her characters, and I cannot wait for more Pirate Elves.

I enjoyed the thoughtfulness the author put into the development of the indiuvual characters and their relationships.
The personalized gifts given by the main character were super cute and romantic.
The multi-date the group went on was very interesting as well, I was wondering how the author would handle individual intimacy with each character. It was done well but became hectic quickly. I believe it to be realistic but, a little hard to read through.

I honestly could have done with a lot less focus on the erotic scene and had a larger focus on cleaning up the combat scene with so many characters fighting all at one and a larger percentage of word count dedicated towards the elves backstories to help the reader become more engaged with each of them. This would help differentiate the elves a little more and help the reader pick favorites.

I am sure the author will be drawing out this more in the next stories and look forward to it.

    Delightful Romp

    Urban fantasy adult situations
I won't say too much so as to avoid spoilers, but it was an enjoyable afternoon spent reading this tale. The inside illustrations were an unexpected surprise. If the author decides to write more in the series, I will buy her books. As everyone knows, every story is better with pirates, and this one comes with booty. Highly recommended.

    Fun Read

Jon has been claimed, heart and soul, by a crew of beautiful elves. It takes a while from initial attraction to total in sync love with all of the crew. Adventures insue as Jon and the crew protect each other. I like the action, humor, and romance. I hope there will be another book.

    Zanny good read.

This book made me think of the anime cartoons I love to watch. The MC is interesting and not the normal clueless idiot of so many anime cartoons.

    A fun romp

This is a departure from Eden's past works and she knocked it out of the park. A good, quick read and I'm looking forward for a continuation of the story.

  • B Johnson

    Really enjoyable

Fast paced, lots of action, some surprising twists (did a WHAT! out loud at one point), and a female writer’s description of the lewd parts is the best.

    Great Story

I have a request. I know you love the elven race, but I was wonder could you do maybe a saga with orc women? You rarely see stories like that.
