Quite interesting and unique. Kept me intrigued.

Lily Ann is a lesbian escort but so much more. She's more of a therapist to her clients.

In this book she meets Carly a butch former fisher living on her boat, who had gone blind years earlier. Lily Ann helps Carly navigate a real relationship with a girl in the marina. There's a lot of heart and soul here and I really found myself caring and rooting for the characters.

This is book 2 but I didn't feel I missed anything, but I do intend on going back to read book 1 now, since it impressed me so much.

A kindle unlimited read I would recommend.

    Loved it!

Lily Ann has a new client and one, with a very special request. In addition to the escort work and her second job, Lily Ann also has other problems to deal with. She needs to take care of her family but especially Bobby and Suzy, need extra attention. It all means that she has no time for fun or her own pleasure. Let alone dating. The Bailey's motto is and was "family first always". I loved the new characters in this sequel to Finding Kathleen. Carly, Avery and Jewel are amazing women and you can't help falling for them. Both books have a great storyline and I can highly recommend them.

Carly Hutch used to be a fisherman and a very good one at that. However, in her early twenties she developed an illness that left her blind within a year. Her gold digger of a girlfriend promptly left her. Now in her mid-twenties, Carly lives on her beloved boat, Feeling Desire, has a lifeline in her loyal friend Jewel Roberts, and has unusual friendships with a devoted pelican, Scully, and an equally devoted mouse, Cheddar.

    Lily Ann is Back!
Our favourite escort Lily Ann is back in a new adventure with a host of new clients but the main one is Carly. Carly is blind, lonely and just wants someone who can relate to her other than her best friend. Life throws twists and turns into both of these women’s lives and neither will be the same again!

I liked this story a great deal. It was sweet and gentle, although there were a few steamy scenes that took my breath away. There were also parts that were nearly totally unbelievable but they made the story cute and fun so I liked it anyway. This book is formally written. I think there was one contraction in the whole book. It made the story a bit harder to read but after a while I sort of got used to it. I was glad to have read it in spite of this. If you are a fan of short and sweet and sensitive, this book is for you.

I liked this story enough, but I will say, considering the main character is a sex worker, I did expect more heat.

I loved reading about her family, and can't imagine what it would be like to be left to care for your brothers and sisters at a young age.

Kudos to the author for penning a book with a blind protagonist. I think it's the first I've come across, and she did a good job.

Carly may not be able to do what she loves but the only thing stopping her is fear. Lily Ann helps her but I think she got more out of their sessions together than Carly. Avery is a perfect girl for Carly because she treats her the same as anyone else. I love how the stories revolve around family and friends. I hope there’s another book in the series.

What a story of awakening, renewal and family love that binds the heart in compassionate grace.

I can't praise this book enough but I will try. The Bailey family is trying hard to live without their parents. Lily Ann is the oldest and is an escort on top of a full time job just to care for them all. I continue to struggle with full time jobs that do not pay enough to take care of family but the story rises above it. Bobby continues to provide smiles and laughter even though he is the youngest. Suzy and David are having normal growing up issues (though bullying shout not be normal) but Lily Ann helps them with the help of new friends. Carly and Jules bring a new world to look at. Their friendship and Carly's blindness add such deep emotions to this special family. Oh and Avery is every bit a stand up character with a hard life experiences but a beautiful story of redemptive love. Book 2 has been even better than book one. I smiled so much my face hurt, laughed often, excitedly nervous a few times but this story was beyond timeless. I love It and hope for book 3.

Lily Ann is back, and this time is helping a woman named Carly. Lily Ann is her nurturing, heart of gold self. You can't help but love her since her demeanor is so genuine and kind. Her family is significant to her, and she always has time for them. Her profession pays well but is not well understood by some. The motherly vibe she has with the younger children is priceless and loving. I fell in love with her and you will too.

Carly is laidback but hardworking and ambitious. Her sense of humor made me laugh at times. Her confidence is addicting, and you will see why in the book. Her place of residence might be a dream for some, and it suits her perfectly. She is her own woman who can handle different kinds of sticky situations. Deeply buried within her heart lies a painful emotion that she doesn't disclose to anyone, including those close to her. A passion of hers comes to the surface, adding much depth to her character.

Jewel is Carly's best friend. She has a sisterly vibe. She means well but tells things as they are and stands her own ground. She manages to ruffle feathers with Carly at times but is always there for her. The dynamic between her and Carly is one of true friendship.

A blast from the past shows up unannounced and changes the direction of the story. This antagonist is obnoxious and succeeded in grabbing my attention to their bold actions. This character will get under your skin as they do to our protagonist. The intensity of this drama will draw you in.

One of the characters has a physical challenge, and the author explores it. I feel compassion for this actor and understand their frustration. I applaud the author for including this issue. Our world is diverse, and we must be inclusive of one another. To understand others, we need to expand our perceptions and see the world from their perspective.

The romantic scenes are artfully distinguished. One scene, in particular, will excite and interest you by displaying the consensual passion and joy the couple shares through physical intimacy.

The descriptions are vivid and thrilling. It is a moderately paced experience that took me about five hours to read. Set aside some time to read it through because you will not want to put it down. The energy between the players is genuine and will touch your heart.

I am looking forward to the next installment - coming next year! In the meanwhile, get your copy of this gem and relish it over a cup of joe!

    Beautiful story

A beautiful story about love, family and strong friendships. A feeling good plot with a lot of main characters with realistic dialogues. It is a stand alone book however if you read the first book about Lilly Ann it will be easier to understand the reasons behind some decisions. Easy to read and I am looking forward for the next book about Lilly Ann.

Another wonderful book in the series

Some old, some new characters. It is fun watching them grow and change and the lessons the new characters bring into the life.of the old characters from the previous books.

Lilly Ann's siblings continue to remember their motto 'Family First' always. They have their ups and downs.like.anyone else but the way they attack and resolve the issues as they occur are life changing for each character and continue to solidify the bonds of the siblings.

There is someone Out in th world for everyone one to love. Patience and acceptance of yourself and what you are.capable of doing if you ate willing to accept help of those who love you can change your life for the better. Carly and Amber are a true.example of.that.

Sully and Cheddar her 2 best friends out in her boat are her protectors. Carly is like a Dr. Doolittle with these 2 characters. They listen, understand.and protect her. They certainly ad humor.to the series.

I can't wait for the next book to continue to watch Lilly Ann's life evolve along with her siblings!

Heartwarming, charming and a touch of humor will keep you turning the pages and have you looking forward to the character's next adventures & maybe even some true love!! LL Shelton never disappoints I hope you pick up your copy (Free on Kindle Unlimited) you won't be disappointed 😉!

An excellent read. I decided to read this for one of the categories in Jae's reading challenge, and I am glad I did. This book is the second of the series but I didn't read the first one and didn't feel like I was missing a lot. I will definitely be checking out the first one. The story follows Lily Ann, an escort as she raises her siblings while helping her clients. One of her clients, Carly, a blind former fisherman, who is still coming to terms with being blind. I really liked Lily Ann and her siblings and I am excited for the next book.

I admire how much it seems that this author did her homework on this certain disability. I liked the way the story flowed throughout the book. Her amazing charcters and yes of course Carlys pets..Sully the pelican and Cheddar the mouse. I’m glad there was a love interest for her to be able to take her boat out again.overall very good book

More with Lily Ann and the Baileys.

I continue to enjoy this series, and the editing was a little better in this story. An important part of this one is that one new character is blind, and readers get a little bit of insight into life without vision. There are still several editing issues, and a few factual errors (birds don't have jaws; boats have galleys.)

  • Susan

    Interesting!

I enjoyed this book for the most part. I found the conversations to be stiff and stilted, just like the prior book. Other than that, I look forward to reading more from this author.

    Loving Lily Ann

The second book in the Nights of Lily Ann was simply wonderful. Watching Carly fall in love as she begins to realize her dreams do not need to be dead. Avery helps.Carly realize how her dreams can come to life.
