Beneath her hard exterior, Rita North is a vulnerable single mother, trapped in a nightmarish situation. She wonders if she’ll ever truly be free. Then her boss’s mysterious brother, Prodigy Kincaid, comes to her rescue. Rita has real feelings for Prodigy and, despite his tough persona, he cares for her, as well. Now, the question is, can she find the courage to trust Prodigy enough to leave the past behind and build a future with him?
After losing her mother, Jacobi Collins got used to it only being her and her father. She is devastated when the one person whom she looks up to ends up being taken away. Left being raised by the person she holds responsible for her father not being in her life, Jacobi has a hard time living the way she wants to. Then she meets Knowledge Kincaid. Will Jacobi let Knowledge be what she needs to help her look at life in a different way? Or will she push him away?

GOOD READ
I really enjoyed this story. The Kincaid brothers didn't back down from a challenge, especially when it came to the women who captured their attention. I like how Prodigy stepped up for Rita and her daughter. Knowledge and Cobi were cute together. I understand Blake being protective of Karri, but he needed to let her have some freedom. Austin/AP was that white boy not to be played with. Glad he put Blake in his place. AP and Karrir were meant to be. -
Good read
I quickly fell in love with the characters. Takarri and Jacobi had the bomb friendship and AP, Prodigy, and Knowledge had a strong brotherhood. I wondered a little what happened to Karri after her brother was killed. Other than that, the story flowed well with just enough drama as each couple pursued their HEA. -
Loved it!
Two of my favorite authors coming together in one book … YASSSS!!! These couples knew what they wanted and did all that they could to get it and didn't let anyone deter them (not even family). -
AMAZING
This was an amazing set of love stories in one standalone. I appreciated the turmoil but more so the will to overcome it. Great Job -
This was a good book
This was a really good book. It started off with a bang and just kept getting better. Takarri and AP had an instant connection and were too cute together. I loved Jacobi and Knowledge together. Rita was irking my nerves but I’m glad she got it together and let a real man love her. -
A Forbidden Hood Love was brutal in so many ways, but I devoured this book from beginning to end. I don't want to give much away because this book should definitely be read. I will say that I absolutely loved Karri, Cobi, AP, Knowledge, Prodigy and Rita. Nolen and Sloan both got what they deserved as they were well overdue for their punishments. This story was full of wonderful characters, supportive family, there was romance, love, steamy scenes, disagreements, protectiveness and HEA's. I thought the ending could have been a little better as it felt a bit rushed and I wish there was an epilogue but overall, I enjoyed this story a lot. It's one I will be recommending to friends and I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author. This standalone book did not disappoint.

Good Book
I like how the book started out on a suspenseful high and gave you insight on why Blake was so overprotective of Takarri and Jacobi. I like how Takarri and Austin were instantly attracted to each other and how Jacobi and Knowledge already had a thing going on. I was glad when Prodigy and Rita became official and that Rita and Noelle didn't have to worry about Nolan anymore. Sloan was so shady and I'm glad a reckoning took place for him. Glad all the families got their HEA. -
Kari, Cobi & Rita lives were changed once love entered their lives in the form of the Kincaid brothers. This book touches on overbearing parents, domestic abuse and blended families. There was potential for some major drama and action, but the story stayed on the fringe of both. The couples were cute and well written. There wasn't any one thing that stood out to give it a "wow" factor for me. It was safe. But, I do enjoy the writing of both authors and will be reading more.

White boy AP
Man White Boy AP was not for the games at all. He wanted Takarri and he got her regardless. Knowledge and Cobi made a cute couple also. So glad Rita came to her senses because she pissed me clean off. Prodigy is a whole thing out here lol. I liked the storyline and glad Blake got some sense and let Cobi and Karri grow up. Overall good read. -
Kinkaid Brothers
These brothers really loved and took care of each other, and their ladies. Loved the blended family. Each couple was unique, however, they all loved hard. Glad Blake finally got his head on straight, before he lost his daughter for good. AP is bae! 👍. Although Knowledge was supposed to be the troublemaker, it seemed Prodigy was the bad a$$! -
Great job
This was an awesome book I loved the story lines. I loved each couple but I think AP and Karri finding love at first sight and not letting anyone tear them apart was my favorite. Can't wait for another story from you ladies would love to hear from from these couples one day too. Awesome ladies -
Great Read
Well this was a good read!! Blake took being protective to a whole new level with his and Jacobi Sr. Daughters after losing his son and Jacobi going to jail. I'm glad the girl finally found love with Knowledge and Austin and started standing up for themselves!! Great Read -
Love in The Air
I really enjoyed all of these couples. They definitely had some obstacles to overcome but nonetheless, they did. I do hope to get an update on the twins and their women. -
A Forbidden Hood Love
AP was great for Takarri. Especially when he didn't back down from her father. Jacobi and Knowledge were a great couple too. I like Prodigy and how he wanted to take care of Rita and her daughter. Great job ladies I enjoyed it. -

Ok read
I was enjoying this book in the beginning but after I got to the middle of this read it changed. The characters didn’t hold my attention anymore. I’m glad it’s a stand-alone . -
I think this was the first interracial relationship book that I've read. It was a pretty cute story, nothing over the top and also short and sweet. There were a good much grammatical errors though but it was a good read

On the fence…
The story was cool. I liked how they touched on domestic violence. This book was a whirlwind of traumatic events. The love story part was kind if corny though.
Still a good read.
