Read this book. Whether you are black, white, brown, or a combination. Regardless of your political or ethical beliefs. If you are human, this book is relevant, poignant, and will resonate on a soul level. A true masterpiece.

I listened to the audio version of this book, and had a hard time getting through it. He uses "black bodies" too often for my taste and repeats phrases again and again. I've read several books about this subject, and I'd say this is my least favorite.

  • Inez Ribustello

What everyone in America needs to be reading right now, this is undeniable history and present day reality written in an incredibly moving style. Would love to read again soon as there is so much great learning from this book.

  • Elizabeth Anne

If you have access, LISTEN TO THE AUDIOBOOK! Narrated by Kendi himself, it’s read like a spoke word poem — very immersing as he effortlessly weaves his own experiences and memories with critical race theory.

  • Rich Allen

I read this for a book club and am excited to discuss and hear others thoughts. Nothing really revelatory or new, but certainly an important topic and always valuable to hear about someone else’s experiences.

  • Roberta

There's not more that can be said about this book. An important book to read but I found the narrative style to drag a big.

  • Erica Lutes

Struggled with first chapters and then the chapter on feminism things started to click better and flowed to the end of the book!
